Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.



Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

Supported Units:

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

Minor issue with ButtonFacade.

Hey there, I just noticed that I'm having a bit of a problem with the ButtonFacade support for Stuf.

Basically, the issue is that anytime I configure ButtonFacade for auras with Stuf, if I reloadui, log out, disconnect, anything, the settings for Stuf reset to default for whichever ButtonFacade skin I'm using. I'm not sure if I should be letting you know, or the person who does ButtonFacade, since it does not affect SatrinaBuffFrames or Dominos in this manner.

Is it possible to put an aggro-indicator og party-members? Either a red dot like Grid, Coloring the health-bar bright red or just a "AGGRO"-text that shows when a party-member has aggro?

There's like three places that you can change the skin, and I believe one of them is overriding the rest. Just play with the options.

Only 2D portraits are allowed to be circular.

Look at the tag help text or browse thru the global options.

Didn't see a bur report link so I'll post here.

In StufRaid: Under Raid > Health Text > Number Format - If I choose "Loss Value with no 'K'" an error occurs preventing further configuration.

Was trying this via "Preview Groups > Preview Unit Layout > Normal option. Not sure if this occurs otherwise. I had to open up the SavedVariables for the addon and change the value in "["textformat"]" back to "perc" under the raid heading in order to continue to configure the addon.

You can have a border appear around the unit when said unit has aggro. This is set under "Global", just choose a border texture and a "Border Aggro Color". (I use a bright red color. ^^)
I guess you could use some custom lua in a text field to have a "AGGRO"-text appear. I don't know that much about lua but I think it's possible.

Edit: I LOVE this addon! It does almost exactly what I want plus it's lightweight and fairly easy to configure once you get the hang of it. If you can imagine it, then you can most likely create it!
The only thing it lacks are smaller details and I'm fine with that.

1st ill need to thank about great addon, its just best

i just wanted to give one idea/thing to improve: some fonts what i use, are really small but that section for changing font size just allow max 80 (i hope than that isnt just some stupid "big idea of blizzard" -.-)

Back up the saved variables files in your WTF folder. Or better still, back up the whole WTF folder.

Hi there, I found the following code in a previous Stuf comment page:

Code:
function(unit, cache, textframe) local name, realm = UnitName(unit) return name end
This code will show a player name, but the realm name will not follow. I've found this code useful for BGs and LFD.

I am wondering how I can add class coloring to that custom Lua?

I know that "cache" can be used with infotags, but "cache.class" will not work in the previously mentioned function because "class" is a colortag rather than infotag. From what I understand, a colortag has to go alongside an infotag. If I try "cache.class:name", no text is shown whatsoever.

How do I change the texture of the rune bars? If you could tell me where in the code to do that I would appreciate it alot.

Hi

Is it possible to have Raid Frames showing at all times like you can with Grid or is this included under not 'showing raid instead of party frames while in a party'.

I was wondering if it was a simple as toggling a hide to a show in the Lua or if it was more complex than that.

Hej Total, got a perhaps stupid question to ask. On my target frame I use 4 buffs and 6 debuffs but I want them to show in the same place.

I thought I could do this with the "Push from buffs" option we get at the debuff configuration. Yet it doesn't work the way I want it. Either they overlap or my buffs get pushed outside the spot they should be etc.
