Stuf is a replacement to StellarUF. Stuf has the same initial layout and feel of StellarUF, but Stuf is highly customizable.



Do not expect much since this mod's purpose is to replace the Blizzard's main unit frames, not other unit frame mods. I'll most likely deny requests to copy random features.

Noteworthy Recent Additions:

Supported Units:
  • Player, pet, and pet target

How to Use:
  • Basic - make sure Stuf_Options is enabled; it's required for initializing defaults and changing settings
  • Options menu - "/stuf" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
  • Hide party in raid - Stuf obeys Blizzard's option to "Hide Party Interface in Raid"
  • Show/Hide elements - many are hidden/shown by setting the alpha or color alpha to zero
  • Slider nudging - (bug Ace3 people for a better way), I do the following:
    1. Move your cursor over the text above the slider, a tooltip should be showing.
    2. Move your cursor up until the tooltip disappears.
    3. Left-click.
    4. Move your cursor back over the slider until the tooltip reappears.
    5. Now you can nudge using mouse wheel.
  • For sliders, you can also manually input values and press enter.
  • Many options, so I suggest checking each option one-by-one
  • StufRaid:
    • Options menu - "/stufraid" or check the Addons tab in Interface Options
    • Basic - StufRaid does not require Stuf, and Stuf does not require StufRaid
    • Special text - install UTF8 to support special characters for the name text sub-string feature

Features Lacking (forever):
  • No profiles, but you can save per character. Profiles would at least double the memory usage (plus more for each profile you create) of Stuf due to its massive saved variables. Check out Reflux to add profiles options to Stuf and other mods.
  • Showing raid instead of party frames when in a party.
  • Advanced buff/debuff filtering for main units.
  • Switching frames when in vehicle
  • Full-featured casting bar (no GCD, breathe, cooldowns, etc)
  • Anything that would really kill performance and lack usefulness
  • Anything for which already has a great standalone mod
  • Anything picky about text that can be done using Lua text
  • Color health bars if mob is tapped

Known Issues:
  • You cannot right-click Stuf's player buff icon to cancel shape-shift forms (ie. druid forms and shadow form) since they're protected now.

But Stuf permanently deletes the default Blizzard UI????

Hello,

One thing that's been stumping me forever: How do I make it show "AFK" if I'm AFK? I've been able to make it show PVP flagged and rest mode, but the AFK display defeats me.

Random comments and replies:

For all questions related to displaying text in a certain way, there's a custom Lua option.

For showing ready check on raid frames, the "Alert" icon must be shown. Also, only raid leaders and officers can see them.

For showing roles, there's a role icon option.

For the boss frames and any question relating to default Blizz's, there's an option to use Blizz's boss frames. Any other main unit frame is completely replaced by Stuf.

I've been looking into the new Masque support, but I'm currently not motivated to implement it since it is not simple (and useful).

Druid Eclipse Bar

Hi I'm not sure if this has been discussed before but is there a way to get the numbers to show up in the eclipse bar permanently instead of having to hover over the bar to see where it's at? I don't know what changed because it used to show the numbers so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't seem to figure out what I'm doing wrong, and was wondering if someone could help me.

I'm trying to use STUF and SharedMedia to change a few textures and fonts.
NO matter what I do, STUF only shows the default 4-5 StatusBar textures, and same goes for fonts and anything else.

SharedMedia works for the other addons I've used it with, though.

If anyone can tell me what I might be missing I'd appreciate it.

Set Focus issue

It wont allow me to "Set Focus" on my hunter for my MD macro. When I right click on a portrait to set focus, a popup show saying "***TaintForced*** has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI. You can disable this addon and reload the UI." then has the disable button or ignore.

I press the disable button because i dont have an addon called TaintForced but nothing happens. Please help.

It's a minor bug, but the work-around is to click "Disable Default Boss Frames" in the Global options. Stuf's boss frames do not work when the default ones are being used.

Unable to display incoming heals in raid frames.

I'd like to say, that this is the best Unit/Raid Frames addon that I've come across in my search for customization perfection and will continue to use it even if I'm not able to fix the one problem that I have with it. The problem is that I am unable to figure out how to display a bar much like the one on my player, target and target's target frame that show's the estimated heal amount for the current incoming heal from myself or another allied raid member. I took a screenshot of me casting a heal with the options open to show that I do have Show incoming heals for the appropriate frame checked. Notice that there is no heal bar on the raid frames much like there is for the player, target, and target's target.

From reading other comments, I get the feeling that I'm supposed to have a library called LibHealComm4.0 . to get this feature to work. Is this an addon that I'm supposed to be able to see listed in the addons section of the character login screen? If so then where can I download it? I have been unable to find it on wowinterface or curse. Or perhaps it's built into Stuf Raid Frames internally.

Thank you for the incredible addon and possible feedback.

Debuffs keep jumping of their place

First of all,great job on these unit frames,was searching for something like this for a longer time and tried many different ones.
Its not a memory hog and highly customizable.
Thumbs up for that.
I only have some minor things i need to figure out and hope u can help me with it.
If i go to the test window and i place my debuffs like the way i want them (rightside on top of the unitframe working from right to left bottom to top) save the settings and go into a fight after,than my debuffs don t appear allways where i wanted them,sometimes they appear in the unitframe itself or higher than where i placed them.
Also the target of target unitframe seems a bit buggy. The 3d portrait isnt reacting like the player's one or targets one.
And last thing i couldn t get to work,its not showing the elite status on my unit frames (+) or rare etc.
Is there any way that i can work around this? Or maybe i m just doing something wrong somewhere...
