PetAssist is a simple addon for hunters. What it dose is remind you to turn Growl on and Off and reminds you when it is time to feed your pet.

How it is differnt then others mods like this.

Most mods just remind you about growl when you enter a raid or party.
Petassist instead checks to see if you are in a party/raid when you enter combat. then if Growl is on it will remind you to turn it off. If you are not in a party and growl is not on (this is normaly what i forget about) it will advise you to turn it on.

New to this release:
You can now turn off/on the differnt alerts with / commands
type "/pa" for a list of available commands.
Also I have added a warning to heal your pet once it gets to 35% health.
Fixed issue where you were being reminded to feed your pet even while in combat.
Fixed issue where you would get the growl warning even if your pet isn't active.

Fixed an issue that could have been causing the frame to come up and not be able to be closed.

I am working on a new addon called HunterAssist that will take the place of this addon. I should have a release out soon and it should address the issues that some are experiancing with petassist. Once I release HunterAssist I will no longer be supporting PetAssist or updating it. Thanks Liqudator

Error at logon with a low level Hunter (test character) that does not have a pet yet. Recorded with the BugSack/BugGrabber mods: <string>:"PetAssistFrame:OnLoad":1: attempt to call global 'Frame1_OnLoad' (a nil value) You'll also want to change the RAR download into a ZIP (as 99% of mods are) so that: 1) people using the WoWInterface UI Manager (the download manager for this site) can install the mod. 2) For those without an updater, so they don't have to download a new program to extract the files.

Make sure that the files are in a folder call PetAssist in your addon folder and that the PetAssist.toc file is in there and it should appear in your addon list. if this is already the case let me know and I will continue to look at it. Is anyone else having this issue?? if so please post here or on the portal about it. Thanks

ok this is odd.. let me look into it.. maybe I did something with the toc file.. I will post an update as soon as i locate the issue. Thanks for the information

Planned changes: ok so i am throttling back the feed pet warning so you dont get spammed with it... Should only come up about once per minute. Unlaoding the addon completely if you log in with somethign other then a hunter. With Beta there is some strange things happing with the growl warning.. So i am looking at this a bit more. but Should have it worked out buy 3.0 I have decided not to add the aspect watch into this addon since with the changes to aspects in Wrath I am going to create a completely diffent addon for aspects. It is better to have it not show in-combat and show out-of-combat still, so much better way to do it than to disable entirely, but also good to have the options to do so if we so wish.

I still want to add a few other things and make it so you can change the percent of health where you will recive the warning to heal your pet. I have also been toying with the idea of addind a warning to remind you to turn off Aspect of the pack when you enter combat. You can always email with idea's or bugs or jsut post them here.. I will be posting a New ver probably later tonight, I have fixed it so that the feed warning will not show if you are in combat, Also I have added commands so that you can turn off/on the differnt warnings if you want to. I also added a pet health warning alerting you that your pet needs a heal, currently I have it set to go off if the pet gets below 35%, I am working on making it so you can set the level you want for that warning, and of course like the other commands you can turn off the warning all together. I have made most of the changes already but since I am doing this from work I have to wait until I get home to test the code and then post it. I am in the proces of adding in an option to turn off the differnt alerts and Also going to make it so the feed pet warning dosnt come up if you are in combat just keep an eye out I should have it out soon.
