    This page is best viewed using the WoWI "default" or "dark" theme. Apologies for any inconvenience.


    These require Tidy Plates and Additional Special Text to funtion!

    Features:
    • Custom scaling for mobs, elites, bosses, totems, pets, and special nameplates introduced. ~ New! v1.8

    • Specific Totem toggles are now available. ( On request ) ~ New! v1.7
    • Boss Encounter options introduced. ( Yogg +0 request ) ~ New! v1.7
    • New Multi-plate style system allowing the toggling of pet nameplates for pvp or pve usage. ~ New! v1.6
    • Spell Cast Text now included!! (Requires Tidy Plates Special Text 3 ~ Included in v1.5) ~ New! v1.5

    Some changes:
    • Text will now be able to be changed in font, and size.

    • Disable all pets option: (PvP will include mirror images, only available in arena)
    • New Icecrown boss special nameplates for Lady Deathwhisper(PVE)
    • Saved Variables renamed and reorganized. (More just for better tracking for myself and future additions)

    "You can change the textures or fonts however you'd like."
    as broad as this statement is please let me know if i am doing anything wrong as far as tampering with your work. as much as i like things to be "so-so" i still believe in keeping with a mod authors intentions and hard work that they have put into their mod.

    what i did after reading your post is simply place a copy and paste of the GOTHIC.ttf file in the "Fonts" folder. GOTHICB actually made names a tad to big and took away from the cleanliness of clean plates. : p

    i then changed all the font settings to:

    typeface = font.."GOTHIC.ttf",


    for the glaze texture i have bypassed any need for sharedmedia by placing a copy of the Glaze.tga in the "Artwork" folder renamed to "CP_Glaze.tga" and then simply changed the lines in the .lua to:

    texture = texture.."CP_Glaze",

    i am no modder or know how to code and this is just done in a hodge-podge fashion which i hope is acceptable. i have a lot of respect for you guys and gals that make the mods i use everyday to make wow a better game. so even if i did this wrong and hope you let me know if it is i want to say thanks again.

    Would it be possible to change the color of some of the totem nameplates or omit some of the totem nameplates entirely? For example, I would like to see tremor totems show up in orange, earthbind totems in yellow, and not see any of the other totems the enemy has put down.

    Since these plates are currently not a "multi plate" styled Tidy Plates theme ( more information on this is available on the addon's page ), it is currently not possible, however I do plan to update this layout to a multi-plate theme that will actually include custom BOSS nameplates.

    *small example*



    With 3.3 there are going to be some changes to how nameplates are shown and their options. Some of these options include the disabling of friendly and enemy pet and totem nameplates. So I'll have to dump some coding later.

    I'll be converting these to a multi plate style sooner or later with custom totem nameplates that will be much more defined than a simple icon.

    So feel free to favorite these and expect an update soon :P

    friendly plates
    Heya, is there a /command for this addon? I would like the plates to show for friendly players as well but I can't get into any options to configure it.

    If you'd like these to show for friendly players as well you'll have to press the keybinding you have to show friendly players. If you're not sure what it is, hit esc and check your keybindings.

    I just tested in a duel the snake trap, and I still saw the name plates of the viper snakes alll over. I tested with them on and off.

    I use both cleanplates and threat tank plates.

    Do I have to restart wow for it to all work?

    You can't have 2 different theme's running at the same time. Either have only clean plates, or only threat plates.

    Hi,

    Today i uninstalled this addon to test different things by deleting the folders in the addon folder. However after deleting I had the problem that the borders of all pet namplates in arenas were still showing (not the standard one and only the borders). I have no other namplate addon installed and unfort. I have no screenshot. Do I have to delete anything else to completely tidy up everything once again?

    If you have Tidy Plates installed there is a default template so even with my theme uninstalled there is still a nameplate changing addon there.

    The only folders you should need to delete are Tidy Plates and Tidy Plates_Clean Plates.

    I haven't forgotten threat plates, I've currently lost my internet at home so I've not been able to redily work on them. They will however be getting a major facelift and much nicer textures. !!

    Threat plates will only keep the most basic of components while clean plates will be much broader in functionality.

    I am quite happy with how well clean plates is doing and some of the upcoming changes ( Onyxian Whelps options, "color" schemes, and a few other nifty changes :P ).

    For now, I'll say this, I intend to make clean plates as user friendly and basic as I can in order to maintain their low memory consumption. I will also keep a very clean look that will never cause clutter.

    Please show your friends these plates to help get more ideas flowing for future updates and feedback!

    I'm also looking for help with localization for various languages!!

    Thanks for enjoying my plates! I can't wait for the next update !
