Boda UI - Discontinued.  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.2
by: Bodasafa [More]

Great news everyone! I plan on returning to the game in WoD and releasing this UI publicly again! Stay tuned!

Announcements
• Version 4.2 is now Live! Changes include a master font for the entire game to complete the look and a few minor tweaks. Also a new DBM skin for the bars. To download that by itself check out my Boda UI - DBM Skin.

• The resolution for this UI is 1920x1080 and will only be released for that resolution. If you wish to use this UI for a different resolution you will have to unlock and move the addons yourself. The time it takes to do this depends on your working knowledge of addons in general. Though with the new centered layout, most anyone should have to move is the stuff in the top right corner. I also recommend reading the "Different Resolutions" section of my Guide linked in the "Help and Support" section below.

• This UI is specifically designed for a Warrior Tank in Raiding situations. However many users of different Classes and Specs have been able to modify it so suit their needs. Since moving to Raven (which controls all buffs and debuffs) it should automatically show your specific debuffs on your target and your specific active cooldowns. You should only need to Blacklist the things you do not want shown.

• I do not use a player portrait. Icehud displays my health and rage so a duplicate of that is wasted screen space. You should keybind “Target Self” to a key. When you press this key you will see “You” in the Target frame. You then right click this frame to get all the options you would via a normal player portrait.

Installation
• Backup and then delete your WTF and Interface Folders.
• Download the UI and put the new WTF and Interface Folders in.
• Rename the appropriate folders with YOUR information.
• Your Account Name
• Your Server Name
• Your Character Name
• For a more detailed explanation on how to install a User Interface refer to my guide linked in the “Help and Support” section below.

In Game Set Up
• Login and stop at the character selection screen.
• Click the Addons button in the lower left corner and enable all addons.
• Once inside the game type the following slash commands and select the BodaUI profile for each.
/buttonfacade
/bt
/chatter
/chinchilla
/icehud
/kgpanels config
/msbt
/mbf
/omen
/pitbull
/raven
/recount
/sldatatext
/suf
/tidyplates (and expand the threat plates selection)
• Once all profiles are set reload your UI. Some addons will not appear set such as Chinchilla until you do this.
• Log out to save the profiles.
• Check for updates to all addons. Once all addons have been updated, log in, change your keybindings/macros and your done!
• Every time you update DBM you need to re-skin, its very easy. For instructions check out Boda UI - DBM Skin.

Special Thanks Goes Out To

• Tankspot.com for hosting my discussion thread.
• The AddOn authors that created the mods used in this UI.

This ui is -really- nice, but is there any way to make the chat bigger, without making the font bigger in the (tiny) box, cause my eyes are bad, and i struggle to read the text in there.

Well I would suggest moving Omen 3 and removing the divider bar between the chat box and Omen 3 box. Then you could just unlock the chat window and drag it up to have it take up that entire area.

To do this:
1) Unlock Omen 3 via the mini-map button.
2) Left click drag Omen 3 out above the artwork somewhere you would like it.
3) Go into the eepanels config via the mini-map button.
4) Un-check the "lock panels" option.
5) Mouse over the divider bar above the chat box to see what number it is.
6) Check the "lock panels" option (so you dont move anything)
7) Go into the eepanels config and mouse over panel settings.
8) Scroll down till you find the number of that divider and mouse over it.
9) Near the bottom there should be a "remove panel" option, click that to remove the divider.
10) Mouse over the chat box and in the upper left corner right click the "general" tab.
11) Un-check the "lock" option.
12) Left click drag the top of the box up to fill the area.
13) Lock the chat window.

Now your chat will take up the whole left side and you could make the font slightly larger so its easier to read if you want.

I hope that helped.

Ok one thing at a time lol.

First off a few questions.

1) What Resolution (monitor size) do you have?

2) Did you read the install instructions?

Re: 1680-1050 wide

I'm sorta new to this site and all and just wanted to experiment with a different UI than the one I've been using for ages...but I can't seem to download your file. And I don't see the "Archived file" you mentioned earlier.

The comments about an archived file are old. My entire UI comes from one download now. You press the big download button above the screen shots. It is a rar. file. So you will need a program to unzip it. WinRAR, is the one I use. Do a google search. Its a free program.

I think there is an addon called "Move Anything", that would probably do it. Though I am not 100% sure on that.

I decided, VERY recently that it was about time i reformatted my UI... a complete overhaul. being a fan of TankSpot's video's, i figured you guys knew enough about tanking and such that you would have some pretty solid UI's. jut a little searching and i found some wonderful posts showing UI's from some of your most predominant members. This one was the first i looked at and my first word was "Beautiful" followed shortly by, " fantastic, i love it, etc..."

To be fair, i checked the other UI's but this one appealed to me the most. i am downloading it right no and i cant wait. Best part, i have a 17" monitor nd i run on a VERY similar resolution ( little configuration, yay!). i definitely see some adjustments ill have to make for my personal preferences and needs ( i am a druid) but i really think what you have layed out will be a very good base to work from.

thanks for laying ou a really nice ui package

ok, heres my issues: I need mouse-over tooltips on my spells, and they dont show up.

also, in your raid Screenshot, it shows cooldowns to the left and right of the target panel. wht mod is that linked to? my characters arent warriors and since it is set for a warrior, my warr buddies CD pop on there but not mine.

There will be a new release for this UI shortly after 3.1 drops and I have confirmed all the addon's are stable. Got a bunch of minor tweaks and some new mods.
