2016/07/29 — I do not plan to update ShieldsUp for Legion, as shaman shields no longer exist in a meaningful form in the game.

ShieldsUp monitors your Earth Shield, Water Shield, and Lightning Shield.

Easy-to-read plain text display
Shows your active shields, their remaining charges*, and the name of your Earth Shield target
Optional text and sound alerts when one of your shields expires or is removed
Condensed display while solo (or for shamans without Earth Shield)
Support for all colorblindness modes
Support for custom fonts and sounds via LibSharedMedia-3.0 media packs

* Note that Water Shield and Lightning Shield will display a "W" or "L", respectively, except for elemental shamans, who will see a number for Lightning Shield when they have at least one extra charge.

Type “/sup” for options, or browse to the ShieldsUp panel in the standard Interface Options window.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why isn’t ShieldsUp monitoring my Earth Shield?

A: ShieldsUp only monitors Earth Shield when it’s cast on yourself, or on a player or pet in your party or raid group. There is no way for addons to reliably monitor buffs cast on units who are not in your group, so ShieldsUp doesn’t try.

Q: Why am I only seeing one charge counter?

A: ShieldsUp switches to a single-counter display when you are solo, or if you don’t have the Earth Shield talent, since in either situation it’s only possible for you to have one shield active on a target ShieldsUp can monitor.

That particular issue is a very low priority, though, as the status of your shield at the moment you login is almost never important anyway, and I have limited time to work on addons.

Reporting Problems

If you encounter a problem with ShieldsUp, first check the bug report tracker to see if the problem has already been reported. If it hasn't, try some basic troubleshooting steps. Then, submit a bug report, making sure to include:

the information you gathered through troubleshooting,
the class and level of your character, and
the talent specialization(s) of your character.

Most importantly, remember to check on your ticket after a few days, as I may need more information to solve the problem!

The addons you mentioned (which, by the way, do not actually have the "Lib" prefix, because they are addons, not libraries) work by registering more fonts with LibSharedMedia-3.0. Addons like ShieldsUp then read the list of fonts that are registered with LibSharedMedia-3.0 and allow you to choose from them. Those "15 fonts" you mention are from LibSharedMedia-3.0. If the addons you named have "Lib" in their name in your AddOns folder, that's probably why you can't choose fonts from them, because their folder name doesn't match their TOC name and WoW doesn't recognize them as loadable addons. Can you select fonts registered by those addons in other addons besides ShieldsUp? If not, make sure you installed them correctly. If so, please provide a screenshot of the font choice menu in ShieldsUp, and another screenshot of the font choice menu in another addon where the fonts do show up.

If you want me to fix your problem, post a ticket in the bug tracker that includes the following: 1. A screenshot of the font choice menu in ShieldsUp. 2. A screenshot of the font choice menu in an addon where the other fonts appear. 3. A screenshot or raw directory listing of your AddOns folder.

I'm using grid and monitor earth shield on there. I love having water shield with a number like that. No big deal was just asking.
