note: You need bdCore to use this addon, or any other bd_ addons

Thats from the new chat settings for "IM Style" which you can turn off in the interface options. However, I also have a fix that I'll update shortly which will remove the background in any mode.

As far as the chat tabs, can't seem to find why this is happening, but I'll keep looking. I can't replicate the issue myself.

Yepp, it works perfect with 4.0.1. Noticed this small bug too, but only with my second Chat Window (I have one only for Conversation on the right side of my Screen). If I do a UI-Reload (/ui) the name does not fade out completely and I have to restart the Game. It's not a problem as well.

Go to line 135 of the bchat.lua and either delete or comment out these three lines. Code: for g = 1, #CHAT_FRAME_TEXTURES do _G["ChatFrame"..i..CHAT_FRAME_TEXTURES[g]]:SetTexture(nil) end and there ya go ...chat background is back and your able to change the opacity and color of it in game like normal. Go to Interface Options, Social tab, and set the 'New Real ID Conversations' option to 'In-line' rather than 'New tab'. This will show conversations like a normal chat channel, not in their own window. I did not know the issue between Blizzard/bChat existed, but I am glad that it's not just me somehow mucking things up. I'll also look into the switching between Classic/IM modes.
