Okay this is basically a quick fix for Neebler's 3D Unit Frames. I'm not going to take any credit for the mod itself, but I was able to edit the code so that the 3D Portraits no longer distort (orginally as the 3D characters moved they passed too close the 'camera' and you could see through the model). I merely did the research into how to fix this and decided to put my 'fixed' version up here.

The only other difference is that this version doesn't include Party Portraits, as I found them an unecessary distraction. Those that want party portraits back must open the XML file and simply change these lines <AbsDimension x="0" y="0" /> to <AbsDimension x="62" y="62" /> and your party portraits will appear once you join a group (only problem with party portraits is that they don't render properly until your within a certain range, which is another reason why I don't use them).

Instructions for use:

Simply unzip to your interface/addons folder as usual and your 3D portraits will appear.

Use alt + left click to drag them wherever you want.

Note: The unit frames in the pic are created using Discord Unit Frames. Only the 3D portraits are part of this mod.

Rumil - is it possible to add a right click drag to resize option for these models? I love them (they work great) but I have to edit the dimensions in the lua to resize them. If I knew more about code I'd try to add a right click resize option, but - sadly - I don't. That way they could be easily resized to work with different unit frame mods.

As stated, this is just a simple fix of a previous 3D unit mod. It does inherit some of the problems from Neebler's, but the main fix is that the portraits actually work now, lol.

Needs a Target of Target Model... really missing that... and when you do the reloadui command the player frame dissapears until you zone a new area or restart wow altogether.... last thing I've seen is that the party frames don't show up with ppl currently in your party in a different zone. Say you are in IF... yer friend is in Tanaris so the portrait is 2D... in order to show the 3D version you need to get in range... then add the person to your group or it won't show.

Also party models don't reset unless another party member joins and or is moved around.... they stay white blank model or empty altogether.

Lots of flicker on the player frame during combat... doesn't seem to affect the other portraits.

Yes, I understand that, but the original portraits are still their so it wouldn't look very good to put them over-top, it would basically require Perl unit frames or Discord or some such, any mod that disables portraits. The TOC should be 11000, not 1800, is what I meant as well.

Anyway, they look nice.. perhaps I'll try to configure discord or some such later on.

Why is this mod TOC v1800 if it was updated so recently? The portraits get put into the center of my screen when I use it.

Well unfortunately the unit portraits are there to stay when you use this mod.

point is that when i enter a raid i have my unitframes disapear cause i really dont need em.

Nope... The only portraits that appear here are that of your own character and your target. They cannot be turned off without disabling the whole mod. There's probably some way of altering the XML to make it dissapear if you join a raid, but there's no real point in that.
