Quse UI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v4.3d
by: Qupe [More]

Quse Stream

This UI is meant to be as minimal, low memory and CPU usage as possible while maintaining a full compliment of features.
Supports all resolutions, aspect ratios and almost all languages/client localizations.

Having some knowledge of .lua - or the willingness to mess around with it - is recommended, most addons are configured in .lua.

sFilter is back!
I have included it with some basic spells for some classes but is mostly barebone.
Please open the SETTINGS.LUA file to add your own spells, all classes have template locations that fit the UI.
HOW TO:
* See Change Log for a full list of changes (please read it!) *
Fresh installations are always recommended!

Installation is a breeze; no WTF folders to rename, no hoops to jump through, no bears to wrastle.

- Back-up your Interface and Fonts folder (if you have a Fonts folder. If you don't have one, don't worry).
- Copy the contents of the QuseUI zip file into your World of Warcraft folder and launch your game client.
- Ensure out of date addons are enabled.
- Once in game, type "/install" and accept.
- Bananas!

Features
*Low memory and CPU *
*Easy Installation*
*Complete "out-of-the-box" support for all classes/specs*
*Healer and DPS raid frame layouts*
(see screenshots)

Raid Frame Indicators

*Note*
Earth Shield, PoM, and Lifebloom
indicators change color based on stack count.

FOR FONT REPLACEMENT:
Font = Pixel Font, 8pt
Font2 = Tooltip Font
FCT = Floating Combat Text

To replace fonts in-game:
- Place your desired font into the "Interface\addons\sharedmedia\fonts" folder and rename to the font you'd like to change.

To replace fonts that appear on the loading screen, chat window, etc...
- Copy your desired font into the "Fonts" folder in your Warcraft folder and rename to the appropriate names present in that folder (skurri, ARIALN__, etc...)

FOR BOSS MOD STYLING:
- Download the file located HERE
Follow the instructions on the download page.

Recommended:
- oUF_MovableFrames, by Haste. If lua editing isn't for you and default frame locations aren't your cup of tea, oUF_MovableFrames will allow you to drag and drop locations.
- Clean Icons - Thin, by Suicidalkatt
Vital if you'd like to keep the sleek square outline look for non-skinned icons. Not included in this download due to its size; some people may or may not care to include it.

TO DO:

- Set up sFilter for new abilities and adjust location (currently not included in package).
- Finish adjusting raid indicator texts and boss debuffs.
------------

I do this for fun but if you enjoy my interface and would like to show your appreciation, click below:

- Bag stack text is now the matching pixel font of the UI.

- rBuffFrameStyler replaced by nBuffs (last buff change I swear!).
- Stuf settings now apply for those who choose to use those frames instead (expanded the amount of buffs/debuffs shown on Stuf by default).
-- If you choose to use Stuf and do not use 1680x1050 resolution you'll have to adjust placements manually. I'd also suggest disabling nBuffs if you use Stuf.
- I have included BigWigs as a boss mod, the settings and styling to DBM remain untouched if you prefer DBM instead.

01/15 - Release.3
- Grid2 should be fixxxxxxxxxxxedddddd!

01/14 - Release.221

- Totem timers on oUF instead of totem bar.
- Mirror bars added.
- AFK/DND tags show up on player frame.

- Fixed Grid2 not loading correct profile.
- Stancebar moved below player frame again.
- Soul Shard and Holy Power bars are the correct width now.

01/12 - Release.2
LOTS of big changes, FRESH INSTALL is recommended.
- Stuf replaced with a modified oUF_NIN (loveitloveitloveit).
- Added oUF_Boring_totembar and oUF_SpellRange.
- NibEclipse removed, oUF_NIN covers this.
- NibRunes removed, replaced with a modified guRunes - looks REALLY slick, fantastic run animation!
- TipTac replaced with FreebTip
- Cascade should now parent to the minimap (if it doesn't try removing the SavedVariables for this AddOn).
Added m_Buffs to cover player buffs/debuffs (I'd still like to have debuffs shown over player frame, but having parenting issues).
- Entire UI moved inward by 4 pixels.
- Shapeshift bar moved above player frame.
- TinyDPS border fixed, now 1px.

01/09 -Release.1
- Removed icon .blp's which were in the Interface folder to reduce file download size. I HIGHLY recommend: Clean Icons - Thin, by Suicidalkatt

Right, you'll have to specify which panels, I don't have any panels in this interface.
What is the name of the addon you're talking about?

Do you mean the unitframes? Player and target?

Nothing should break if you auto update from Curse client, so go ahead. Anything I change on the minimap should change here as well, I'm just being slow about the latest update because I had other things to change.

But short answer, yeah update with curse client at will!

AddOns\QuseTweaks\Tweaks.lua

at the top of the file find the following lines ...

local visiAFK = true
local cancelduels = true

... and change "true" to "false". Reload ui ... Done.

Yeah, that's how my raid frames look, but as I said I cannot see which group I am in unless I press "o" to bring the raid UI up or count players in the raid. But yeah, it's not a big problem really.

Is there any way for me to take away that afk tweak? As well as the CTRL duel block?

oh, yes. And I use CurseClient to update my AddOns. Now for example, I am able to update QuseMap, but when I choose to do so, it asks me if I want to do it as it may overwrite changes made to it. What I do?

Open core.lua and find:
Lua Code:
  1. hp.bg:SetVertexColor(0,0,0,.2)
Set the cfg.lua hp to transparent and change the color value above to what you want.

Your name keeps disappearing because of a tweak I forgot to take out that shows your name when you go AFK. When you stop being AFK the name will disappear.

When you're playing your warrior you don't have frames like this?:
http://s.cdn.wowinterface.com/preview/pvw57150.png
Those are pretty minimal, but I don't plan on doing anything that mimics the standard blizzard frames.

@Zenjaa
No, it isn't working. Tekkub is starting to update his addons (loot frame is a modded TeksLoot) it will probably work properly when everything is updated.

@Zeluj
You could get oUF_NiN working (I think he's starting to update) and download a 5.0 copy of Grid2 - but that's a lot of work!
Another option you can try out is opening oUF_Mlight>cfg.lua and find:
Lua Code:
  1. cfg.classcolormode = false
Change false to true and it will become an opaque frame instead of transparent. Past that you'd have to take a look at the core.lua file and mess around with the HP bar color options. The settings for the HP bar color start at around line 218.

@CClassique
I can't fix anything if I don't have the error =(

@Cruel
You'd have to edit rBuffFrameStyler's core.lua file and manually move the debuff frame. I have archived versions of the pre 5.0 UI in the Other Files tab if you want to take a look at how I did it with nBuff. Both addons are very similar and you'd probably be able to figure it out easily. I can help you get it working if you can't after looking at the old buff addon.

Hey Qupe,

quick question :

Would it be possible to change the position of the debuffs? (or tell me how to) .. i like to see my debuffs in the center of the screen (like parasite or shrapnel on madness hc , etc..)

that's the only thing that bothers me, though!

Hi

I tried PVPing with this ui, cause I love pvp on my rogue :3
And everytime I enter combat and use my skills, (and lots of debuffs are gained) I get these 17 errors from MyBuffz. But I dont really understand what it's saying. It's very annoying in PvP and I hope there is a solution for this.

Greetings.
