I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

I am haveing trouble with SBF, my Art of War Buff is not always displayed. I have found no common reason for this. I have only noticed this since 3.2.2 but it may have been happening before. Any Fixes?

I Need SBF for my lovely ui

It doesn't happen every time, but that is ALWAYS what causes it from what I have observed. I hope you're able to reproduce it. If you need me to test a possible fix, let me know.

A bar with "my&d<60" + some named filters (n=heroism) solves this problem for me. As melee you can also try to use "d<180" because 99% of procs and gains are shorter than 3 mins.

Yes, I have the same problem. It usually happens when switching zones. Leaving/joining a battleground or instance almost always causes it. I'm eagerly awaiting a fix from Satrina.

I was experiencing the same thing, but I figured out how to fix it. You have to check the box that says "Do not show SBF icon borders" on the icon tab. Of course, leave the one that says "Do not colour ButtonFacade borders" unchecked.

Suggestion - "Combat Delta"

I'm not sure how hard it is but here's what I would like in a buff/debuff addon:

Have an option to enable "Combat delta" which means that only the buffs gained/lost since entering combat are displayed.

The rationale is that I am aware of all the buffs that I enter combat with (fort, motw, well fed, ......... 100 others), and I am only interested in what I gain/lose. If I enable Combat Delta I expect that when I enter combat, all the buffs that I already have to be hidden, the buffs that I gain in combat to be shown normally, and the buffs that I lose to be shown with a red shade or something.

Especially in 25man raiding, it is very hard to see at a quick glance that for example my trinket procced (buff gain) or that I moved out of range of the totems (buff loss). Combat Delta mode would enable me to focus on these kinds of information.

This could maybe be applicable for debuffs as well but 99.9% of debuffs are cast in combat so this is much less interesting.

Yea, as I said there were no guarantees that the last update would fix temp enchants once and for all. Hopefully the next update does.

My psychic powers are not working so well lately, so letting me know what the actual error you are getting is might help just a bit.

Lua Error

The new version won't load for me. It doesn't show up as out of date on the addon list before logging in, and it gives me a lua error on startup. I tried your fixes (/sbf fix and /sbf reset) i even tried deleting the file, but none of them worked, it gives me the same lua error. When I try /sbf reset, it does nothing, when I try /sbf fix it says "Trying to fix Buffs", or something along that line, but then it doesn't do anything afterward. When I try /sbf options, it gives me another lua error. Let me know if you want me to email you these two errors.
