NOTE 1: Before, docklets and dock features were created in static positions (ie... chat tabs on the left, profession tools and henchmen on the right..etc) and the dock holders were essentially just anchored placeholders with little purpose other than a starting point for child elements. Now every aspect of each docking cluster is dynamic and interchangeable.
NOTE 2: Utilizing the new dock system is restricted to internal code at this time. If you have questions please ask me and I will walk you through them.
NOTE 3: I have added an alt-click menu to each dock icon that allows you to re-order its position in it's current dock.
NOTE 4: All movement changes are now being saved and retained per character.

When you first log in you can click one of the two buttons on your bottom-right screen (" << " and " >> "). Do this and see what happens.

You were at Blizzcon weren't you? I recognize the name from one of the tshirts being worn by the wowinterface posse (unless my memory is just horrid....which is certainly possible).

I really am intending to take the time to write a proper guide for installation/use. The problem is that every time I make a version change, the installation steps as well as the various options change with it. I will try to get this wrapped up tomorrow.

The carbonite issue plagues me.... I have spent hours looking at ways of correcting this without entirely disabling the minimap to no avail...yet. You have to understand that the minimap is my first-born baby in regards to SVUI, it was really the first element that pulled my UI away from all the others. For this reason I almost refuse to make changes that will remove it. But I digress, I haven't given up on a carbonite fix quite yet.

Unfortunately, it wasn't me. I've only been on staff a couple of months, and most likely I'll never be able to afford to go lol.

Not a biggy, I just don't want to see you dealing with a bunch of folks that can't figure it out for themselves. (Did I word that nicely enough? This PC stuff is still pretty new to me.)

Again, nowhere near a big problem. I do remember seeing a fix posted in the tukUI forums at one point that did do the trick, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. It was commenting out one line of code, but that's the extent of my memory

Now if you could just do something with the City of Heroes interface. Imagine if you will a comic book based MMO that doesn't have a comic book themed ui...

Mung I never said I did not like your ui or felt cheated, in fact I love it. This whole thing is just a big misunderstanding imo mostly my fault for posting when upset, and for people misunderstanding what I was trying to say. I forget the time and work it takes to make these things, and forget that it's hard for you the code writer to iron all the bugs out first before uploading it.

I don't want my money back as I have been using your ui for....well as long as I can remember lol and honestly feel it was worth every penny. So I'm sorry if my first post was writin out of anger, not anger at you btw. Just sucks when all your actionbars and stuff disappear in a boss fight and you cause the raid to wipe, and I guess I should let things roll of my back also.

So how about we just move on and start over?

Im absolutely in love with your interface Munglunch thank you for all the hard work that has been done on it!

I would like to ask you if you could include another action bar layout that we could use between the player and target unit frames for people who like that.
Just so you have an idea what i mean

Something like that, at the moment I just include bartender and make it myself after each update but that just feels like cheating on your interface :P

Well think we've all said things a bit hastely it is frustrating when there are bugs and sometimes its just remembering that the ui is at lots of time and effort of someone who doing this for nothing but the joy of it. We should all just play nice with each other...and I apologise for the lazy ass comment, just that it upset me the tone of your comment about not using the ui for a couple of things...like the saying goes...act in haste repent at leisure

Well thank you. That is all I really want from anyone, just knowing that they have fun with the things I create. The actionbar thing WAS a big disaster, I spent hours trying to fix what turned out to be a bug from 4.06 (Damn you Blizzard! Stop changing the API!!!).

That can be arranged fairly easily. In fact my first UI I created had this bar almost exactly. See this:



Now is the perfect time for actionbar changes since I am still cleaning up after the 4.06 bugs. I have a few cool surprises in store for everyone in this department.
Let me see what I can do.
