MyBuffz

Version: 3.6b
by: MrLulz [More]

MyBuffz is a simple addon designed to make sure you keep yourself buffed.

Slash Commands
Type /mbz or /mybuffz for a list of commands.

The following buffs for each class can currently be tracked:

Death Knight
- Horn of Winter (Combat Only) ***
- Bone Shield
Druid
- Mark of the Wild
- Thorns (Option for in Bear Form only)
Hunter
- Trueshot Aura
- Aspects
- Warning for Cheetah/Pack
Mage
- Intellect
- Frost/Molten/Mage Armor
- Focus Magic (Only while in group)
Paladin
- Righteous Fury
- Seal
- Blessings
- Aura
- Warning for Crusader Aura
Priest
- Fortitude
- Shadow Protection
- Inner Fire/Will
- Vampiric Embrace
- Shadowform
Rogue
- Poisons (MH/OH)
- Poisons (Thrown)
Shaman
- Water/Lightning/Earth Shield
- Weapon Buff
Warlock
- Fel/Demon Armor
- Soul Link
- Dark Intent (Only while in group)
Warrior
- Battle/Commanding Shout (Combat Only) ***
- Vigilance (Only while in group)
General
- Flasks (Option to only track in a raid instance (On by Default)) **
- Well Fed (Option to only track in raid or while in any instance (BG/Arena/Dungeon/Raid), Option to change minimum tracking level) (Instance/Level 85 on by default)

** Currently only the level 85 strength, stamina, agility, intellect and spirit flasks are checked for.

*** Due to their short durations Horn of Winter and Warrior Shouts will always only be tracked while in combat even if the option to show buffs out of combat is on.

Note: Buffs only usable if you have the appropriate talents will only be tracked if you in fact have the talent. All other spells are tracked if you are high enough level to have the spell (Unless noted otherwise).

If you find any buffs that are showing as missing when an equivalent buff is present (ie Horn of Winter and Strength of Earth don't stack, Horn of Winter should not claim to be missing if you have the Strength of Earth buff from a totem) then please let me know so I can get them added.

Also please note that I don't have a level 85 of every class so I have not been able to fully test each buff. Please let me know if you find any errors. Thanks!

if this could check food and flask as well I think it could easily become a required raid addon

I do plan on adding both, but I'm waiting until I get the options in. Obviously people don't always want to be flasked and food buffed so I didn't want it to get too annoying.

However, for my own use the addon does support flask tracking in raids, but I commented it out for this upload. If you're interested and you know even a tiny bit of LUA and have a text editor just uncomment lines 139, 140 and 141 (on version 1.0.1). It'll track the four main flasks whenever you are in any raid instance and level 80.

You could add a raid mode or something with active food and flask check

But still a very nice addon.

e: please put the files in a separate folder

The watershield message is disturbing for an elemantal shaman.
Is there a way to turn off specific buffs like watershield or have i just to delete the code?

I plan on adding options to not track certain buffs in the next release. For now, you'd have to delete/comment the code.

But... What exactly is disturbing about keeping up water shield as an elemental shaman? =/

have you ever seen an Elemental Shaman in a raid?
You ll never get oom and rebuffing water shield would be a wasted gcd.

So not to keep up water shield is disturbing, but the message itself, which is very good in case of the weapon buff, but not in this case when you do not need the buff.

Well, if you really don't want it, for now you can just comment out or delete line 113 which should look like:
Code:
bString = buffDouble(8,"Water/Lightning Shield","Lightning Shield","Water Shield",bString);

I'd like mine to be more noticable

Exactly what I was looking for. Nicely done and light like I like my women.

For some reason mine prints very small in the center and is easy to miss. I'm wondering if an option could be added to have it print larger or perhaps to flash somehow so your attention is drawn to it. A simple sound might be very nice too.

I'm used to editing code, although luas are not my forte as of yet so if there is an edit I could perform to get larger font or some way I could add a sound in my copy I'd like to hear it.

Thank you

I was able to edit mybuffz.lua and enlarge the fonts so the messages are more noticable. It was quite simple once I had studied the coding a little. I changed the size 15 font in line 226 to size 20 and the size 20 font in line 235 to size 32.

226 MBZText1:SetFont("Fonts\\FRIZQT__.TTF",20,"OUTLINE")

235 MBZText2:SetFont("Fonts\\MORPHEUS.TTF",32,"OUTLINE")

As an Alchemist, I use "Flask of the North" regularly. While I was editing, I substituted Flask of the North in place of "Flask of Endless Rage."

213 bString = buffQuad(80,"Flask","Flask of Stoneblood","Flask of Pure Mojo","Flask of the North","Flask of the Frost Wyrm",bString);

217 bString = buffQuad(80,"Flask","Flask of Stoneblood","Flask of Pure Mojo","Flask of the North","Flask of the Frost Wyrm",bString);

Again, this is an excellent addon and it works perfectly for all of my toons. Thank you MrLulz!

2010-10-16 Update?

I'm hoping for an update to Mybuffz. The 4.01 patch killed it and I was just getting to depend on it. Thank you.
