Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.


Features:
  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.

Code_hunter is correct. That most likely is a carbonite channel and it is probably being pushed through MSBT through Chatter. It's a known issue with how Chatter interacts with Carbonite. Chatter outputs its messages through MSBT and that is why you see it through MSBT. MSBT does not parse any channels on its own.

Aura refresh is a main event that I thought I had added at one point (hence my previous posts about it), but is not currently available. I will likely have it added within a couple of minor releases.

Hello Mik, thanks for the great addon.

This seems like something that would have already been asked, but I've been looking everywhere and I can't seem to find an answer that works. Is it possible to create a trigger that alerts you when an aura is refreshed/reapplied? I have no trouble making a trigger fire when I initially apply the aura, but if I apply it again before it wears off, I don't get any notification. I was looking through some old notes and it sounds like there used to be a condition called "Aura Refresh", but apparently that was taken out ... did something change in the combat logs so that this doesn't work anymore? Or am I just missing something simple?

Thanks very much for any help you can provide.

That looks like a Carbonite channel name. I turned of the channel option after finding my chat logs filled with [crbf4a67fe5a6] and such. (Yes, I made the one up)

Hi Mik, I encountered a bizarre problem.
I have MSBT installed (Version: 5.4.64) and while I have no custom filters/triggers I had a freaky thing happen last night.
I was on a level 1 toon doing some silliness with a level 80 friend of mine (He's a mage) and kept getting this displaying as if it was a pulsing aura. Only thing is, he hag no buffs that pulsed like that that I could tell and I was level so I had no spells like that.
Included is a picture. I simply cannot figure out what it is. There is no error but that's quite the sting of crap flying across my screen.

I'm sorry, but I don't support anything that isn't the latest version. It already takes a ton of time to support that and I just don't have the extra time to support old versions - particularly ones that are on private servers that I have no clue what modifications have been made and are completely against Blizzard's ToS.

Hello Mik.
I play on a TBC private server using patch 2.4.3.
I have a serious problem with MSBT. I love this addon and i extremely wanna use it.
The problem is that Incoming, Outgoing, and Triggers arent working at all. Only Notifications and Cooldows are shown.
I am currently using version 5.2.14. I tryed also the version 5.2.8beta but didnt fixed nothing. ALSO, i tryed delete cashe, delete anything WTF contains, disable all addons and use MSBT alone, changed 3 chars on 3 different accounts, but the problem cant get solved. Sometimes when i just login, MSBT works great but after some seconds, i dont recieve any Incoming, Outgoing and Triger.
i'd apreciate if u can give some of your time to solve my problem.

Thanks for the information. What would help are the relevant combat log entries with timestamps and other information. I suspect they are are not really happening simultaneously because although they have different skill IDs, the names are the same and therefore they should be automatically merged if they were in fact at the same time.

They actually aren't listed as the same skill name. Unlike other abilities, ToT-impacted strikes do less damage than mainhands. Example:

Obliterate(R4)

This bugs me too, hope you take a look.

You would just use the appropriate conditions as per my previous post instead of the example ones in the FAQ.

Awesome thanks for the link!

I cant find anything that is "Aura Application" settings. All I see is Custom Media, General, Scroll Areas, Events, Triggers, Spam Control, Cooldowns, Loot Alerts, and Skill Icons. thats all. I tried to check each section for the "Aura Application" section but no luck.

There is a "Skill Suppressions" button on the Spam Control tab that allows you to specify the names of the skills you don't want to see. Add them there exactly as they appear (it is case sensitive) and they will be suppressed.
