Asked to write an addon to show " Facts of the day" for Darxide on the EU wow forums
so here is my result


Random Facts - instalation guide

unzip to desktop

place the Facts folder in your \World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns folder

open the WTF folder, then account and rename YourAccountName folder to your account name ( the one you use to log on with )
go back up to WTF and place in your WoW directory

you should now have
Facts
\World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\Facts

WTF
\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\YourAccountName\SavedVariables

Usage:-
Displays a Fact of the day to your guild

/fact - dispalys the latest fact
/fact next - selects the next fact of the day and displays it
/fact reset - resets to the 1st fact in the database
/fact new - type a new fact to store in the database making sure you put a space after new
e.g.
/fact new The infamous shower scene in 'Psycho' took 7 days to film.

other players can whisper fact to you and you will automaticaly whisper the current fact in reply
e.g
/w tyrolit fact



todo:-

limit the number of facts per FactsDB file in WTF to maybe 50? add a message in game warning when the size is 48 or more. ( when the number of facts is greater than 50 deleting the 1 fact to keep FactsDB to 50 facts ) -- is this needed?

add ability to send the Fact of the day to other chat channels
