Xparky  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.2.2
by: Wobin [More]

If any of you has ever seen FuBar_FuXPFu, then Xparky is it's replacement.

FuXP had the unfortunate limitation that it could only attach to a fubar, and often had refreshing issues, so instead of continuing to support that addon, I decided to write a standalone that would not have such limitations.

For those who haven't seen it before, Xparky is simply a very basic, very shiny XP/Rep bar that can be attached to any named frame available. As can be seen from the images, you can attach it to any side of any frame, and even set an offset so that the bars float off the frames.

All colours are configurable, and it works off the Watched Reputation, so if any other addon modifies that, it will update Xparky alongside it.

Use '/xparky' to pull up the configuration, and have fun!

To come:

Pet Bars
Separate Profiles
Separate Bar allocation/order

Version 1.2.2 - TOC push for WoW 3.1

Version 1.2.1 - My mistake, I forgot to add LibStub to the libraries. This will hopefully fix any standalone loading issues.

Where do we find the info on the parent that we can attach Xparky too? Still haven't figured out how to attach to the side of the screen.

1) Use /xparky
2) Frame Link
3) Click 'Hook to Frame'
4) Pull the mouse over to an empty bit of screen until it says "WorldFrame" in the tooltip
5) Click
6) Select "Left" or "Right" in the "Attach To"

okay I like it! now someone make a fu for it that looks and behaves just like fuxpfu and I'll be happy

actually what am I saying... I've still got it attached to fubar anyway!

ok, changing back to fuxpfu...

That said, I'm still impressed, I'm giving this full marks

DeFu?

Heh, it was easier to write and support this standalone than have to pull my hair out about the fubar implementation and intergration and continue to support that.

Is there a dependancy not listed. I have it loaded as pretty much the only addon and /xparky doesn't do anything. It comes up only with the "Type '/help' for a listing of a few commands." dialogue.

No, no dependancies, it's all self-contained, and should run fine. Are you sure you have the files in the correct folders? If so, you might want to grab an error recording addon like BugSack ( http://www.wowinterface.com/download...5-BugSack.html ) to see if any errors are occurring on load.

Xparky looks great, however I'm not sure what I should use to make the default XP bar go away. It's silly to have both on the screen and Blizzard's XP bar tries to fight it a lot. Do you have any recommendations for an easy mod to hide the regular bar?

I'll add in the option to hide the default bars with an upcoming update

Since yesterday? In that it was working before? Cause I haven't updated anything in the last week.

Interesting. As soon as I loaded Bugsack, your mod worked. As well, when I removed Bugsack it stopped working.
