Minimap Button Frame  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.10f
by: Bachlott [More]

This little addon will gather up all of your addon minimap buttons and put them into a movable frame.

Features

- Minimap Button Skinning (Square Minimap Buttons)
- Add or Remove almost any minimap button
- Multiple Sorting Options - Including Custom!
- Collection of Blizzard Buttons
- Collect only the buttons you want
- Background Color can be changed from the config screen
- Hide most of the Blizzard Minimap Icons
- LDB Support
- Key Bindings
- Profile Support
- Basic Localization in English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

Future Features

- Full LDB version of MBF

Known Issues

Metamap minimap button is incompatable due to the way it is handled in the addon.

The addon does not grab button that do not have a name currently.

Currently discovered addons that are this way are:

Enchantrix (Part of Auctioneer Advanced)
onRaid

The Blizzard buttons that only show up under certain conditions, (battleground, LFG) will only display on the Frame when they are shown normally and active scanning is enabled. Otherwise they will apprear on the minimap when they are shown.

The Add feature is a little more powerful than I originally expected. So you can accidentally grab things that you didn't expect to be able to. (Other Addons) I've tried to protect the blizzard interface features and a couple other things, but let me know if you can grab something that you don't think you should be able to. If you do accidentally add something to the bag you can always remove it.

I've added a lot to the Localization, so it's another quick and dirty, horrible translation. Thanks again for the crazyness Google. So if you can do a better translation please help me out and submit it to me so I can add it to MBF. Hopefully Google didn't make them too funny or offensive.

Note:

The ability to add minimap icons to the table can be a general or partial name of the icons. The button override table add should be the exact name of the button that you want to override and collect.

As always your feedback is more than welcome!

@Cassielle - You should be able to add an exception to MBF to have it Ignore the kgpanel. You just have to know the name of the panel and add it to the Minimap Icons in the exceptions part of the options. Anything put in there will be ignored by MBF.

Hey!
This Addon was something i was just looking for,
but unfortunatly, it doesn't work with my kgpanels somehow.
You see, i have two Kg Panels that take both their Anchor and Parent Frame in the Ui from the Minimap.
But everytime i activate MBF they anchor after the MBF frame, even thought it has another Framename. Sooo, i don't really know if that's an issue of Kg-Panels, seems so somehow, or MBF does claim the Minimapframe. o_Ö
If you know what i mean, i allways have the feeling my english quite sucks. xP

Anyway, thanks for your great work!

Regardless thanks for the work you put in.
How do you reduce your button size, and the size of the graphics, if I may ask? And to what size?

I normally keep my MBF set at 0.9 for scale, but I tried it at the smallest setting available in MBF (0.5) and the graphics still worked. Here's a picture for you.

I left my Carbonite Quest Watch in the picture for size comparison.

This is by no means an empirical test, but it leads me to believe the problem might be on your end. Maybe another addon is causing interference?

Thanks, I appreciate it not having errors. You just get so used to not having that crap on your minimap your life seems weird when things show up! Thanks again for your hard work, hands down the best minimap button addon out there.

I'll check into it. They seem to be working on my end but maybe something didn't get updated in the release correctly.

Thanks.

Thank you so very much for updating this. For me this addon is essential. I always use a mini map addon and make the map larger, then the buttons always get larger as well. I really do not need my tracking button 1.5 times it's normal size.

Thanks again.

I've seen the error. There was a change on the Blizz side. Easy fix. I'll have it uploaded soon.

Thank you for your previous reply.

I am still wondering about the skins though. Is it possible we could get some more options?

Or even better if button facade could skin the buttons as it does other addons like bartender.

I run the addon on the smallest scale possible so all but one skin you have available look all chopped up.

If none of those are possible a "no skin" would be just as great too, just the plain icons would match a lot of UI's.

If you want take a look at my UI and you can see how the skins don't really match with my overall look: Boda's UI

Thanks for your efforts.
