oUF Phanx  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 8.0.1.0
by: Phanx [More]

I am no longer developing or maintaining World of Warcraft addons. I haven't played in years, and don't have the time or interest to continue working on addons for a game I don't play anymore. If you are an addon author interested in continuing one of my addons, please see https://phanx.net/addons/. If you are an addon user, sorry, but there won't be any more fixes or updates from me.

oUF layout with many PvE-oriented features and a few options.
Features include aura filtering, dispel highlighting, threat highlighting, incoming heal bars, display of all secondary resources, totem timers, cast bars for player/pet/target, incoming resurrection text, combat feedback text, AFK timers, and smoothly updating bars. Mouse over the frames for more detailed health and power text. Hold Shift out of combat to temporarily disable aura filtering and see all buffs. Some elements auto-adjust based on role (healer, tank, damage).

Type /pouf for options, or browse to the oUF Phanx panel in the standard Interface Options window.

Supported units: player, pet, target, target’s target, focus, focus’s target, party, party pets, arena enemies, and bosses. Raid frames will not be added; use Grid or another raid frame addon of your choice.

Supported plugins: oUF_MovableFrames, oUF_SpellRange, and any plugin which does not require explicit support from within a layout. Also Clique for click-casting.

Note that you must install the oUF core addon separately.
Feedback
Post a ticket on GitHub or post a comment on this page. If you are reporting a problem, please read this first.

If you want to change something that does not have an in-game option to change, you will need to modify the addon's Lua code yourself. If you need help modifying the code, do not post here. This page is for support of the official version only, and tickets/comments asking for help with code changes on this page will be deleted. Post in the oUF forum instead.

If you are using a modified version of oUF_Phanx, do not post here. This page is for support of the official version only. Reproduce the problem with the official version first, or post in the oUF forum instead.

I was just wondering if you have any plans to make add any more configuration options. It's a beautiful UI, I was just kinda hoping to be able to move the unitframes.

Use oUF_MovableFrames to move the frames created by this or any other oUF layout.

Version 5.2.0.362 ToC

I noticed under the OptionalDeps you have LibResComm-1.0 listed, but (naturally enough) use LibResInfo-1.0 instead.

Good catch. Probably not worth making another release for, so it'll be in the next one.

Sorry to bother you again AND I do recognize that you dont support PVP but I just wanted to mention this item: I noticed while in an arena my party frames does not show. Not sure if thats a bug or not or if its even supported but I thought you may want to be aware of it in any case. Again this is a brilliant addon regardless. Thank you for your tremendous effort.

I have this installed, but not active yet. Too busy, and ran out of game time temporarily. Anyway, looks promising as a PitBull4 replacement, but I wanted to ask about plugins/elements.

You support four of them, and I was curious if there was native support for reputation and experience bars, or, if not, is it possible to add support for oUF_Experience and oUF_Reputation? I'm wondering because of low level alts and Diplomancer support. Both plugins are found on Curse.

There isn't, and I don't plan to support those plugins. I don't feel that XP/rep bars belong in a unit frame addon. There are plenty of standalone XP/rep bar addons, and most action bar addons include this feature too.

That's definitely not intended. Please make sure you have BugSack enabled, or at least Display Lua Errors checked in the game's options, and then follow the instructions on the download page to submit a bug ticket. It's very likely that there is a bug there, as I haven't set foot in an arena since TBC.

Phanx,

Not sure if the following can be considered a bug or not.

When playing a hunter and using mend pet in combination with ouf_combatfeedback, the healing text overlaps the HP percentage.

I fixed this by using min/max in combination with uconfig.width (line 790ish in Frames.lua).

lua Code:
  1. if IsAddOnLoaded("oUF_CombatFeedback") and not strmatch(unit, ".target$") then
  2.     self.CombatFeedbackText = ns.CreateFontString(self.overlay, 24 * (uconfig.width and min(1, max(uconfig.width, .5)) or 1), "CENTER")
  3.     self.CombatFeedbackText:SetPoint("CENTER", 0, 1)
  4. end
The text sometimes still overlaps from time to time, but this way it's a bit smaller.

I'm not sure either... I've never actually used oUF_CombatFeedback, just added it on request years ago. Feel free to come up with a good revised version that works for all frames without getting into "I need a microscope to read this" territory, and I'll just update the release addon with it. Feel free to experiment with different positions if you want.

I thought 12px was actually fine for the pet frame.

Maybe just disable combat feedback for frames where width < 0.75 of normal?

I installed this last night finally, cleaned up my UI, etc, etc, and I like it! Just two things to note when installed for the first time....

The Arena and Boss frames, along with their pets, overlap each other in a jumbled mess. When using oUF_MovableFrames, it was extremely difficult to separate the frames, and I ended up accidentally resizing one or two in a set. There is a drag button in the bottom right of each frame to resize, but I could not get one Boss, one Arena, and one Arena Pet frame to look exactly like the others. Is it possible to have some breathing room between the Boss and Arena frames in their default install locations?

The other thing is the Party frames' default locations. They were almost off the bottom of my screen when first installed. Thankfully not totally off, but wow!

I am using 1920 x 1080 at about 80% UI scale if that matters. I can also link a picture if you wish. Other than that, I like my new UI!

That is intended, as those frame sets will never be displayed at the same time during actual gameplay (there are no bosses in arenas, and no arena opponents in places with bosses) and are meant to occupy the same place on the screen. If oUF_MovableFrames doesn't handle that gracefully, I'd have to call that an issue in the plugin, not in the layout.

That's odd, as I also play at 1920 x 1080. I have UI scaling disabled, though. Can you post a screenshot? The 4th party member should line up horizontally with the player and target frames, and the 1st party member should be below the 5th arena/boss frame with space in between roughly equivalent to another frame.
