ShowMe

Version: 0.1.1
by: lilcure [More]

ShowMe

2 mods in a week, I'm on a roll. Another simple mod and another request fulfilled, this time by Borbie.

It does the following:

  • Displays your current Rage,Mana, or Energy (whichever is correct for you class)
  • Allows you to configure the size,color, and location of that information

Command Usage:
/sm or /showme : brings up a list of all commands
/sm about : gives information about the mod\
/sm show : toggles whether the text is shown
/sm locked : locks the window in place
/sm config: brings up a config window to set the font size and color

You can also right click on the frame to bring up the config window. As long as the frame is not locked you can drag it by just left clicking and holding on it.

Things to do on it for a future release:
  • Make a fubar menu for it
  • Make it possible to change the font
  • Make it so that you can add other frames tracking other things (ammo or just about anything)

Let me know what you think, I love comments and if you have anymore ideas please through them out!

0.1.1:
  • Fixed the rage change trigger event

So the latest download available here is either not fixed for showing rage or became broken again after 2.2.x hit. Mana (tested on a priest) works fine, though.
Open up the Core.lua and find
Code:
self:RegisterEvent("UNIT_POWER","UpdateOutputFrame");
Change to
Code:
self:RegisterEvent("UNIT_RAGE","UpdateOutputFrame");
That fixes the rage display for a warrior

And was it really necessary to use Ace?
Fixed it...I had screwed up an event.

I'll check it out on my warrior when I get home. As for the ace end, it makes the configuration much easier, and with the way that libs in Ace work, because of the fact I used libs that any other Ace mod would use and they only get loaded once it really isn't increasing the load.
