InterruptIcons  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.5
by: Waverian [More]

v3.0+ Removed arena-exclusivity. You can now choose to hide all icons until they become active via the Hide Icons checkbox. You can choose to have dynamic icon placement or fixed icon placement via the Fixed Icons checkbox.

v2.2 should now properly track shared cooldowns. I had a very limited amount of opportunity to test this. It should work fine, but let me know if there's an logic problems (i.e. it's applying the proper cooldowns).

I should have some notable changes coming in the next week or two to slim down the display.

what interrupticons is

InterruptIcons is an enemy interrupt cooldown tracker, in the spirit of Kollektiv's InterruptBar.

(Border added in post image processing because it looks pretty)

what interrupticons isn't

InterruptIcons will never be a full-fledged one-stop-shop pvp mod. I will not personally be adding support for things like pvp trinkets, global enemy cooldown, partner cooldowns, ... etc. Ever. I am open to suggestions to improve the functionality of this mod, but the scope will remain the same throughout. If you want to know every little bit of information about every arena target then this mod is not for you. I suggest you use Afflicted3 if that's what you're looking for.

what interrupticons does different

InterruptIcons adds support for tracking enemy buffs. This feature right now is solely used to track Taste for Blood, the overpower proc from rend ticks for warriors. This reason is the entire inspiration for this mod, but since TfB tracking fits within the scope of relevancy to interrupts, I figured I'd make the whole package.

When an enemy gains a buff, the cooldown displays and the
icon becomes colored, as shown on Cloak of Shadows above

When a buff fades it becomes greyed out

InterruptIcons offers in-game control over display. You can alter spacing, icon size, and icons per row.

One possible layout. Any vertical or horizontal layout is possible

InterruptIcons offers "on demand" display of cooldowns. If the frame is locked, all icons will be hidden. When joining an arena, only spells that your opponents can use will be shown. This allows for a clean, compact display without losing any information.

known issues // todo

InterruptIcons doesn't work well in cases where your arena opponents have more than one of the same class. The timers will be inaccurate and the display unreliable. I have no current plans to fix this because it's a fairly uncommon situation.

v3.3
* It will now actually work. What a novel idea.
v3.0
* Added "Hide Icons Until Active" option.
* Added "Fixed Icons" option.
* Cleaned up some code, fixed some bugs, made Hunger for Blood timer work more reliably.
v2.2
* Display should now properly track shared cooldowns (feral charge cat/bear, pummel / shield bash).

Enabling Lock Frame in the options menu will hide the frames until you enter an arena. Is that not what you mean?

Hi Waverian,

Is there any chance that you modify this to track your raid/group/party interrupts. (Maybe making new addon FriendlyInterruptIcons)

See - I understand your PoV when this is made, but as raid leader for example on General Vezax I would love to know who have ready CD and who didn't use his one.

I will not be extending this functionality to friendly interrupts, in this or another mod. The icon display method works poorly for multiple players of the same class.

I suggest trying RaidCooldowns for friendly cooldowns. You can toggle on or off any number of spells. I use this myself for tracking all interrupts as well as Soulstones and Battle Resses.

It seems the Taste for Blood part (and most likely the code to track enemy buffs) is not working. The picture remains gray scale while dueling a warrior regardless of weather taste for blood is active or if overpower is used.

Also, and I think this also applies to the other guy asking about "hiding" the frame, InturruptBar had the option of hiding the bar and only showing each individual icon when they were on cooldown. For example, the bar would be completely hidden until a rogue kicked me, then the kick icon with the cooldown would appear, and again hide after the cooldown reached 0.

Other then that, this addon is amazing and will quickly become as much a pvp necessity as Gladius. Kudos to you!

Wow, that's crazy. I can't believe nobody reported this issue before you.

Anyway, the code is fine. I just had the wrong spellid for the Taste for Blood buff. A fix is pending approval now, TFB monitoring will work fine in v2.1. Thanks for the report!

If you keep the frame unlocked it should still track the cooldowns properly. In that case the frame will intercept mouse clicks and the display will be pretty bloated, though.

I'll consider another option for this.

I downloaded the latest version but somehow I don't have the options pane.

The addon is checked in the character selection menu, any ideas why this is happening?

Thanks!

I really think this would be a great addon if you could have per-character settings and some ingame method for changing the spells displayed (even if you have to use spellid ingame)

For example, my mage cares about interrupt CD's but my warrior doesn't. Instead he cares about stuff like stoneskin totem, hammer of justice, or kidney shot CD.

Might be more than you want to deal with but just throwing it out there.

That's something I had planned to do but ran into some technical problems with it. I've managed to solve the problems but it would require some big changes to the addon as it currently stands.

TLDR: I plan to implement it in a rewrite. I've been lazy-ish getting it done so I haven't got a timeline for when you can expect it.
