    This is a workaround for the issue decribed here. The workaround enables AddOns to play sounds while the rest of WoW is practically muted.

    The rar contains zero-byte length files of every sound file used by WoW except the sounds used by DXE and DBM (BigWigs uses it's own files so works too).

    Installation: Extract into /data and make sure "Enable Sound" and "Sound Effects" are checked in the ingame sound options.

    Hm, while it does deactivate all sounds, it also doesn't allow BigWigs, MSBT or Power Auras, etc to play any for me. Total silence.

    I couldn't even get /run PlaySoundFile("Interface\\AddOns\\MikScrollingBattleText\\Sounds\\LowHealth.mp3") to work. Working fine without the added sound files.

    I had the same problem total silence doesnt work

    The problem seems to be due to the zero-byte length sound files. I have replaced them with "real" muted sound files, and haven't noticed any missing addon sounds yet. Need to do more checks though.
