Please clarify.

1) Are you talking about the Glyph interface window or the Guild interface window?
2) Please post the error, I need to know what line/function is causing the error.
3) Anything specific you were doing when the error happened?
4) What is your WoW Client Locale?

I have not had any issues with the Guild module, or it's interaction with the Guild interface window as of yet in 5.0. If this is regarding the Glyph interface, the Guild module has nothing to do with the Glyph or Talent interface at all. There is no SLDT_Glyph (that I'm aware of or that I created).

I get this same issue. Basically I just get a Dialog window open to say that this addon is blocking the UI feature when I go to put in a new Glyph in the UI window.

I'm sure that a lot of people using this should be getting this same issue as I doubt it would only just be me and a few others.

Here is a Screen Shot:

Internetzer: Are you a Death Knight by chance when the Guild Window error happens?

Regarding Glyphs: After review, there's something associating SLDataText_Guild to the CastGlyph() API that is NOT SLDataText or any of it's modules. Feel free to open the SLDataText_Guild.lua file and look for that API, it doesn't exist in any of my code. Also, I redid Glyphs on two of my characters this morning and received no errors, so I really don't know what on gods earth could be causing this.

Hi, do you get a lua error when you mouse over the guild data text while not in a guild? because I have had this lua error with the addon for as long as I can remember and was going to ask if it can be fixed.

Edit: Not sure if you fixed it but just tried it again and I did not get an error... hmm confused.

Comment display

Long time ago, SLDT guild used to display level, player name, zone, rank, and comment. Is there any way to display ranks and comments? Thanks!

Re: Re: Re: Re: Glyph Tainting

Regarding the error generated when you are attempting to update a Glyph - it is possibly related to the use of "_" as a non-localized variable. This occurs in SLDataText_Guild.lua at line #100:

guildName, guildRank, _ = GetGuildInfo("player")

I added a localized variable called temp and then changed the _ to temp. This appears to resolve the issue. It's my understanding that Blizzard makes use of this variable also and therefore not having it localized is causing some errors.

Well, it's no doubt a clumsy fix (if it is a fix) but I'm not a lua guru

glyphs

I am having the same issue with the glyph interface. I can't switch any glyphs at all when sldt_guild is running. If I disable it, it works fine.

The tooltips natively hide when in combat lockdown. This is deliberate, so that a giant interactive tooltip doesn't pop up on the screen while in combat/raiding/etc.

The only thing missing is rank, there is the option for showing notes. Currently I don't plan to change the existing design.

Any chance you can include an option to hide or show tooltips while in combat? I didn't realise how much I used this until I can't use it anymore.
