Threat Plates (TP for short) is a addon for customizing your nameplates. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

Features:

SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
Ace3 profiling.
Low memory footprint.
Threat system management.
Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
Customizable widgets.
Customizable totem nameplates.
Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

Commands:

/tptp - Displays options.
/tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
/tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
/tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
/tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
/tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. I didn't check if AuraIconFrames actually exists (its holding information about all the auras (buffs, debuffs) above the nameplates). It seems that it just isn't empty if auras aren't used, but nil (undefined). Should be pretty easy to fix. I will post an updated version tomorrow.

I just downloaded ThreatPlates (8005_Alpha) and the TidyPlates (6_18 Beta 20). The problem that I'm having is that when I try to choose ThreatPlates as the TidyPlates theme, I get an LUA error that constantly counts up and will not go away, even if I reload my UI. The only way to stop it is log out of the game and disable ThreatPlates. If I just try to log back into the game with ThreatPlates still enabled, I get the same counting-up LUA error window. Here is a image of the error. The "count" is what keeps counting up at an incredibly fast rate, to the point where WoW says I have to disable addons. I hope you can help because I was so excited to see this addon back and now that it is, am sad it's not working for me! Thanks in advance, Herrm

The TidyPlates version I'm using is 6.18.Beta20. I got no (lua) errors with that version. I guess I have to take into account the different versions of TidyPlates, at least Beta and Release in the future.

Yeah, that seems to be problem with refreshing the nameplates after a change.

Regarding the Russian translation. That would be great. I plan to remove all translations no longer up-to-date in an upcoming release (right now, everything except en and de

). Do you know how to do it? Check the file "TidyPlates_ThreatPlates\Locales\ruRU.lua". The text on the right side of every equation is the russion translation. You can use a diff programm to see new or changed entries by comparing ruRU.lua with the enUS.lua version. Things like "|cff89f559" and "|r" are for coloring.

Yes, that's possible. Insert the following code into Functions/alpha.lua after line 68 (before the line with "if not alpha then")

I will add an option for configuration later after I fixed a few bugs.

All your tests are extremely helpful as I just can't test everything to a degree necessary. E.g., I don't play arenas so I have no idea if that stuff is working or not.

There are a few things you have to do:

Enable addon TidyPlatesHub
Enable alpha feature Headline View in ThreatPlates options, pane About (at the end of the pane)
Switch on friendly nameplates (keybinding shift-v is default)
Setup for which units you want healthbars and for which just the headline view in the TidyPlates config ((therefore it's alpha )
- Open it with /hub, switch to the main config panel (named "TidyPlates")
- Check which profiles (tank, dps, healing) you actived for your specs, select the correct one if necessary
- Now switch to the subpanel corresponding to the profile you selected for your current spec (e.g., Damage Profile)
- Here you can configure the following things: Nameplate Style (for which to display heathbars/just names) and Headline View (Text-only) (color and texts, it's a little bit down the page)
- You can check if it works at all by activating "Force Headline View while Out-of-Combat" - if this doesn't work, somethings wrong with the first 3 steps.

That's it.

Yeah, I can see the problem. Something's wrong with the aura's strata. I'll have a look into it.

I uploaded a new version, 8.005-Alpha, which should fix the problem at least for the targeted unit.

As danltiger is reworking the layering of nameplates in TidyPlates (for Beta21 probably, see https://wow.curseforge.com/addons/ti...-frama-strata/) I don't want to change too much as it would be deprected with Beta21.

Thanks for that. Suicidalkatt granted me access to the addon. So, for the time being, I will try my best to keep it up and runing.

If you got any errors, please post them here with the LUA error message. I will try to setup something more fancy for error reporting some time in the future
