Clique is a simple addon that enables powerful click-casting and hover-casting on your unit frames and in the 3D game world. You can bind virtually any mouse or keyboard combination to a spell or macro. In it's normal configuration this enables you to use the bindings over your unit frames in order to cast spells directly on that unit. This allows you to more quickly select both the spell to cast, and the target of the spell without requiring an extra click.
To begin with Clique, open your spellbook and click on the new tab that is shown there. You can also open the configuration GUI by running the /clique slash command. From this binding interface you can add, remove and alter any of your Clique bindings. You will be unable to make these changes when you are in combat due to limitations in the Blizzard API.
Binding a spell
Binding a spell is just a matter of finding the spell in your spellbook, putting your mouse over it, and performing the binding you would like to add. For example, if you'd like to set 'Regrowth' to activate on 'Shift-LeftButton', then you just find that spell in your spellbook and then Shift-LeftClick on it. You can also bind keyboard combinations, so you could do the same with Shift-R if you'd like.
Keep in mind when you are setting your bindings that they will override any bindings that are already set on the frame, for example the default bindings to 'Target unit' and 'Show unit menu'. You can override these bindings if you would like, but you should then set a new different combination that will activate the original functions
Binding the 'Target unit' or 'Show unit menu' actions
If you've rebound or lose these default bindings, you can re-bind them using the 'Bind other' button in the Clique configuration. Click on the button, and choose the correct action and you will be presented with a dialog box that allows you to set the binding for that action. Simply choose a new key combination, and you will be able to target units and open your menu again.
Binding a macro
Binding a macro can also be found on the 'Bind other' button. You'll be given a new window with instructions and suggestions about writing your macros, but other than that the process should seem very similar.
Managing click-sets
Each binding can belong to a number of binding-sets. These sets determine when the binding is active. The built-in binding-sets are as follows:

Re: Re: Casting Wild Growth on GRID(and maybe on other unit frames)
I thought you might be interrested in knowing that Blizzard is supposed to be looking into this right now. Maybe you know this already though .

I absolutely love Clique... but the configuration window has been driving me batty because it seems to die.. (?)
I open my spellbook and click the Clique button and the window comes up, but I can't use the dropdown in the top-right. I can't click on any of the buttons at the bottom either. The graphic for the "Custom" button currently is only showing the last third of itself and the "Edit" button only shows the first third of itself. I did some poking around.. apparently, the frame, list, buttons, and dropdown are all on the same frame level. And it looks like the buttons and dropdown are using the frames frame level (I believe it was 134). Somehow, this is leading to the clickable items being beneath the frame itself so trying to click on them is clicking the frame instead. If I run /script CliqueDropDownButton:SetFrameLevel(135) then suddenly the dropdown works again! Hooray! The code looks good though, of course. It looks like you're even accounting for this issue already. Any chance you can look into it though? I don't know if its some kind of weird conflict or if the frame level correction code isn't firing or what, but it happens a darn lot. At least I know how to fix it though for now. Update: After some more testing, reloading the UI seems to fix the issue. And the frame's level is now 70 (roughly half of what it was before). Opening ArkInventory doesn't break it and neither does opening Auctioneer. It's also fine after swapping specs, hearthing, and visiting the bank. Now that I have some idea of what to look for, I'll keep an eye out for it breaking. |

I am trying out NUI. In my old setup i used Bar Tender which has a right click self cast. NUI doesn't have this functionality, so he pointed me to you. I can't see a way to always cast a beneficial spell on myself with a right click with clique. For example i have the MT targeted but am also taking aoe dmg with BT4 i was able to right click any heal (or other spell i can cast on a friendly) to cast on myself and still keep the tank targeted. Is there anyway to do this with clique that i am just missing?
Thanks in advance |

That's the first place I would look, in the default user interface there is an option for self-cast. You might try setting that and then using it when clicking on your action buttons. If you would like to use Clique to right-click on unit frames to cast spells on you.. you could set it up using a custom clique with unti set to player and the spell set to the spell name. Alternatively you could use a macro (in a custom clique) like this: /cast [target=player] Flash Heal Let me know if that doesn't make any sense.

I'm having the following issue:
I have someone targeted and they die or go out of range. I try to click cast on someone else in the party or raid who is alive and in range. I get the message that I can't cast because what I have targeted is dead or out of range. I've had this issue for several months now. I have used Clique since it first came out and never had this issue before. I am not sure if they changed some aspect about the game or if the clique code changed. This is an issue I can live with but now that I am doing Ulduar hard modes every week its becoming more and more frustrating. I solve it by clearing my target or targeting something still alive or in range (like me), but as a healer it is best to be able to keep someone targeted to monitor even though you are not always in range. I use xperl unit frames. Thanks |

How are you casting spells, via macros? What spell are you casting?

Trouble With Delay
First off, great mod. I have been using Clique for a while now since it's inception so long ago.
I recently came back and have been using it with Grid. What I have noticed is that there is a slight delay when I click a unit frame. Sometimes I have to click more than once to get Renew to show up. I reset all settings with Clique. My latency is low. It's very frustrating. Is there anything I can do to improve clique's reaction time or is this a Grid problem that has been seen before? Thank you for your time and any help you can provide! |

Re: Trouble With Delay
1. Disable your unit frames, so you're using just Clique and the normal player frame 2. Click-cast on yourself and see if there is a delay Let me know.

Re: Re: Trouble With Delay
I used Pitbull with it and there was no delay. That's why I was asking if there was a known problem with Clique and Grid. At this point my only options are either to pull saved variables for Grid which I am not looking forward to as I have a lot of custom settings or switch to Pitbull which I will never get to look as simple as Grid.
Thanks for your quick response, Cladhaire. |

Cant seem to get this macro to work with clique. It basically casts LB on the person I mousover or target and if I have neither of those it will cast LB on myself. Also this macro works find when I use it with a keybind.
/cast [target=mouseover, help, nodead][help][target=player] Lifebloom The mousover portion works great, but it wont cast lifebloom on myself when I dont have a mousover target. |
