OmniCC  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 10.2.5
by: jaliborc, Tuller

Overview
OmniCC is an addon that adds text to items, spell and abilities that are on cooldown to indicate when they will be ready to use. In other words: it turns all the standard analogue cooldowns into digital ones.

Anything should work with OmniCC, from the action bars to the inventory, from the standard interface to your favorite add-on.

all omnicc looks for is the cooldown textureframe if it finds it and the frame is big enough it will add numbers above it as such it has no idea what it is actually counting down for

Parrot, which is also a very good SCT, announces abilities being ready again.

Why not make this an adjustable option instead of a fixed amount? As a frost mage, Ice Barrier (with additional cooldown-reducing talents) has a 24 second cooldown and it'd be nice if I could decide to use the pulse effect with it.

Do you think there's any way to prevent the display of numbers for unit frames (default or e.g. (x)perl) debuffs? Before 3.0, I could easily recognize my own debuffs from the small, still visible parts, but now I just see lots of running numbers where the other debuffs used to be That everyone got a lot more debuffs and even our healers just nuked last night in BT doesn't help this, either :P

Is there anyway to have even and odd seconds in different colours?

And also, the scaling is a bit off sometimes. On a big bar, if the size is perfect, its too big on a smaller bar!

Is there anyway this could be changed at all, by adding in a seperate option?

I'm switching to this addon from Cooldowncount, as these were two of my favourite functions from that!

Well, the reason I set the minimum time at 30 seconds is to prevent the issue of "I had 500 buttons pulse after I got silenced!" I should basically just figure out a better heuristic

I may be alone on this, but I like the pulses when a silence ends as it helps my awareness a bit in PvP.

I really support the previous suggestion to allow the minimum time to be a user defined setting. That kind of adjustment would allow everyone to set it for their own personal style.

Seconding this, I really like omnicc but dont wan't it displaying durations for buffs/debuffs on pitbull. See pic:

EDIT: To fix this issue with Pitbull, open your Pitbull options menu and go to Global Options -> Auras -> Disable Cooldown Spiral

That fixed it for me!

A quick fix would be to open up full.lua, do a search for 30 (there should only be one instance of it) and change it to whatever you would like. That's what I did.

To hide text on cooldowns, increase the minimum scale option until the text goes away. Its normalized around 100% being the action bars at a normal scale/size.

problem with that is it removes the timers on my dots too... the previous version the timers were only on my dots, making it easier to see when i had to refresh dots ... i preferred it that way

HELP !

Hey, so here is my problem:

Basically, I'm using default unit frames and bars, and since patch, there are cooldown models visible on target buffs(running wow clean, 0 addons), so let's say a buff is about to wear off, it's just so dark you can't even see what it is. Terribly annoying.
So what I did trying to solve this ? Ofc got OmniCC and unchecked 'show cooldown models', set the min. scale so I dont see cd counter on buffs, works great, however.... this actually makes my action bars not have cd models either, no cd spirals, which is just terrible, since I really got used to it.

In short: I'm stuck with either having the cd spirals on both target buffs and my bars, making me unable to see what the target buffs actually are, or having no cd spirals at all, not even on my bars. I could separate them properly pre 3.0, please make it happen !

Thanks

Re: HELP !

I think one key issue people are having is this: OmniCC does not have any clue about what it is displaying cooldown text on. It could be buffs, action buttons, casting time, items...whatever. This is the key to why OmniCC is able to work on everything.

OmniCC knows the following, though:
  • The duration of the timer its showing text for. This, along with the minimum duration option is used to determine if OmniCC should show text or not. This is also used to determine if the item should pulse when complete.
  • How big the thing is that its showing text for. This, along with some magic math and the minimum scale option, is used to determine if OmniCC should show text or not.
  • A guess at the icon of the thing it is showing text for. This is used for the pulse, obviously.
  • If CooldownModel.noCooldownCount is set or not. If so, then OmniCC won't show text for that particular frame.

Nowhere on that list is the name of the frame OmniCC is showing things for (which I can know, but don't because not all frames have names, aka pitbull buffs). Play around with the minimum scale option until the text on your buffs is gone, but the text on your bars remain.

Would like the option to show timers on debuffs caused by me though.

It worked this way on the pitbull frames before the patch... the only buff / debuff icons that had timers on it were my dots
