BlkUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.3B
by: Blacksad [More]

RESOLUTION: 1920X1080

A sleek looking, minimalist, all purpose Rogue UI.

Everything is set to track buffs/debuffs/procs/CD times in PvE and should require next to no setup.

Although this is set up to be Rogue specific, you can simply use any character class.

For PvP target defensive cooldowns are tracked via Weakauras, and personal CC abilities via icons above nameplates.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Directions:

The person who downloads this has to unpack everything using an application which can unzip folders (Winzip, etc.), and then put all the folders in his / her World of Warcraft folder.

Copy your current WTF/Interface folders to your desktop to back them up before installing.

You then place the downloaded WTF/Interface folders into your Wow directory in their place.

When you download this, edit the folders to rename them from the generic "Account Name", "Server", "Character" to your actual accountname - the same goes for the server- and characternames. Do this first, before you even load up the game. Otherwise, the settings for everything will not take, and you may have to do it over to get everything working properly.

Upon entering game, make sure all addons are enabled! Make sure "Load out of date Addons" is checked!!!

Once loaded with all addons enabled, you will get a pop-up asking if you want to install BlkUI. Choose "Yes", and you should be pretty much good to go.

If any profiles for specific addons have issue loading, you may choose the Blk_UI profile for said addon.

You can then copy your bindings-cache.wtf and macros-cache.txt in from your backed up desktop folders, and keep your previous macros/keybindings.

Don't update Sharedmedia or Sharedmedia: Additional Fonts, as they it will overwrite the in-game font settings.

Addons Included:

Aurora, Bagnon, Bartender, Gnosis, Raven, Fonter, VuhDo, HideBossFrame, HideRaidFrame, Stuf Unit Frames, Reflux, SharedMedia, WeakAuras, Phanxchat, SexyMap, Skada, KgPanels, Tidyplates, Tiptac, DBM, HideBlizzardRaidFrame, Rogue Spam Reborn.

Changed loader to work correctly. (Thanks to Real of RealUI!)

Added in the option to toggle most of the UI on/off at will.

Redid boss frames to look better and have a castbar.

Lots of odds and ends.

** Edit2 -

In quest windows im currently getting a black translucent background with black text describing the quest.
Is there anyway I can change the text colour or the background colour as it is extremely hard to read :/

**
Go manually update Aurora from here on WowInterface and it will fix the issue.

Borders and Shared Media

Hello there.

First of all, fantastic UI, I love the simplicity and cleanliness of it. Its inspired me to create my own.

My question to you is thus: How do you create Border textures? Are there any rules or decent documentation for it anywhere? I've looked all over and haven't turned up any kind of official guidelines on how they should be created, what format etc. I cannot seem to create borders that are anything other than huge black blobs, which show up bright green within an addon that has a border texture selection dropdown.

Also, the lines you have on BlkUI that surround the bottom of the Chat pane and the Focus/ToT, are they created using KG Panels?

Hoping you can help.

Hello there,

I have done every update available to Aurora and still cannot seem to get a readable quest log.

Any more help on this particular issue?

Hey there! The border textures for many things are opaque KGPanels using a border, such as the chat frame. Same with the lines around the cooldown bars, etc. Player frames I had to import artwork into Stuf and KgPanels, and pair them up for the look I wanted.

For importing artwork, Mayron of MayronUI had a very helpful video on doing this. You can use the same principals he shows to import artwork into any addon.

Figured out the issue, was having it myself. Fully Delete Aurora, and do a clean install. Upon loading, the settings are still intact, and all of the windows and text are fixed.

Hey there,

Is there any chance I can make the UI bigger for my 1366x720 (wide) resolution?
Any ideas can be helpful!

Thanks!

Having serious issues with VuhDo not copying any of the information from the addon pack, it just installs without any settings made. Mind walking through how you have it set up?

Well last night i was having quit a few error's that were popping up and out place addons however, i thought i take a shot in the dark and update the whole UI via Curse Client except for the sharedMedia addons and well it turned out to be pretty successful. So my best suggestion to you would be to back up and reinstall the whole UI and then update all the addons through the Curse Client program except for "SharedMedia" and another addon that i believe will be asking for accept or ignore option. You want to leave those. I dont know much about scripts and artwork so i feel better leaving those out (not saying that has anything to do with it). Which doesn't seem to cause any problems.

Also, there was a problem with Aurora where the font color is effecting the ability to be able to read when picking up quest and what not. I am still working on this and i have reinstalled the addon a few times but cant seem to find that one option to fix it all but its possible that i could be overlooking/over thinking the situation lol

Anyways i am sure the author is busy and doesnt have the time to update the UI but i really enjoy this addon for my rogue and feral druid so i will continue to try to work out the kinks and keep you good people up-to-date with my findings and also if anyone has any suggestions please feel free to share your thoughts.

Thanks.

Okay i have fixed the Aurora problem.

I am not sure why exactly there are 2 Aurora addon folders however, i am sure there is a good reason for it but anyways. I downloaded the latest Aurora and deleted and and re-installed both folders located in "Interface" and "Addons" Folder and presto you can read again lol ( i am sure most people tried to update as mentioned but i am sure they didnt know which one exactly)

http://www.wowinterface.com/download...89-Aurora.html

above is the link.

Hello, sirs. How do you disable the black box that surrounds action bar one? If I'm being too vague, please let me know!

You will most likely have to open KgPanel's and find the panel and disable it.

If you could post a picture that would help too.

Is there a way to change the font of the UI universally, or will I have to seek out and adjust each addon manually?
