Mage Nuggets
Mage Nuggets is a utility with many useful nuggets to make the lives of mages easier.

--Moonkin:
*Eclipse Monitor and Cast Boxes added (See Mage Nugget Options > Moonkin)
*Cooldown Monitor for Starfall and Treants added (See Mage Nugget Options > Cooldowns)
*Custom Treant sounds and the stat monitor also works for Moonkin. The stat monitor includes all Moonkin talents, auras and procs and will display your actual stats in real time. You can use the default sound for your Treants or use your own. Simply copy a sound file such as a mp3 to your mage nugggets/sounds/ folder. Trim your sound to 30 seconds so it stops playing when your Treants expire.
USE: "/magenuggets"

USE: "/magenuggets"

Mage Procs:
You will be notified when you acquire a Mage proc via a proc monitor and combat text. The proc monitors track the duration of the proc and help you never miss a proc.
Examples: Hot Streak, Arcane Missile, Brain Freeze, Impact, Fingers of Frost, Praxis(Tier8 2x)

Portal and Teleport Menu:
Click the mini-map button to display portals, teleports and hearthstone. Teleports and portals can take up tons of bar space and this will fix that. If you do not wish to use the mini-map button simply make a macro with "/magenuggets ports" and drag it to your bars. This will give you all of your ports, teleports, and hearthstone on one hotbar button.

Stat Monitor:
This is not just a generic stat monitor showing your basic stats. It is a powerful raid utility and will help any Mage maximize their DPS. Staying in range of buffs and auras, timing cooldowns with incantors absorption procs, knowing if your target is affected by Torment the Weak and many other uses that the stat monitor provides are all vital to maximizing your DPS as a Mage.

*Buff Monitors: Pyromaniac, Torment the Weak, Improved Mana Gem, Arcane Power, Icy veins, Time Warp, Critical Mass. Also has a dot counter that will display the number of dots your current target has that will be combined with Combustion and spread with Impact.

* Spellpower: Displays your real time spell power helping you stay in range of shaman spell power totems, dispalys Incanters Absorption spellpower gains and any other spellpower effects.

*Crit%: Displays your real time crit%. When targeting a enemy it will display your crit% chance against that target including any crit debuffs. Helps to let you know if Critical Mass has fallen off or if your warlock is not keeping his crit debuff up.

* Hit%: Displays your hit rating including your hit from precision and if you are arcane spec,Arcane Focus. When targeting a enemy it will display your hit% against that target including any hit rating debuffs such as Misery or Improved Faerie Fire. Will display "capped" when you are hit capped against that target.

*Haste: Displays your current haste % including any haste buffs such as Black Magic, Bloodlust\Heroism, Icy Veins, Wrath of Air Totem, Berserking, Improved Moonkin Aura, Pushing the Limit (t10 2x), etc. Also takes into consideration the talent Netherwind Presence and any haste trinkets or potions. Very useful for arcane mages. Also helps you stay in range of moonkin and shadow priests for their 5% haste aura.

*Mastery: Adept: Displays the live damage bonus based on how much mana you have.
Flashburn: Displays the live damage bonus from your damage over time spells
Frostburn: Displays the live damage bonus against frozen targets.

Mirror Image Timer:
A timer will be displayed showing exactly when your Mirror Images expire. Your threat is neutral while your images are active and the timer helps manage when to drop your aggro. With the T10 4x bonus, this helps you know exactly how long you have the extra 18% damage increase allowing you to maximize your DPS.

======Proc and Mirror Image sound======
Customizable sounds for procs and mirror images. Add your own sounds or songs or use the default. Also works for Moonkin Treants. This option is off by default. Go to the sound tab in the Mage Nuggets options to add your own sounds or songs. Simply copy your sound file, such as a mp3 or wav, into the magenuggets/sounds/ folder. Trimming your sounds to 30 seconds is advised as it will stop playing the exact time your Images or treants expire.

Living Bomb Counter:
Displays the number of targets you currently have Living Bomb on, the name of the last target you applied Living Bomb on and the status bar and timer showing the duration of that living bomb

Slow Fall:
When Slow Falling a party member a editable message will be sent to notify them that they have been Slow Falled. Hardly anyone notices when you slowfall them. Why let such a wonderful spell go to waste.

Arcane Blast Monitor
*Displays the count of arcane blasts currently up and a status bar showing the duration of the stack.
*Arcane Blast Cast Time Tracker, Will display your Arcane Blast cast time and will display "Capped" if you manage to get your Arcane Blast cast time lower then your global cool down.

Polymorph Monitor:
The Polymorph Monitor shows your current Polymorphed target and the duration of the spell. You will be notified when someone breaks your Polymorphed mob.

SpellSteal Monitor:
*Displays stealable buffs on enemies that you have targeted. Some buffs were just ment to be stolen and this helps you find them. If you don't have Spellsteal on your bars, you will.
*Notifies you when you successfully steal something via combat text and the chat console and tells you what you stole in a linkable format.

Actual Shield Absorb:
Displays the actual amount of damage your shields can absorb. The amount of damage your shields absorbed is partly related to your current spell power. This will notify you how much actual damage a shield will absorb when you apply it. The more spellpower, the more damage they can take.

Focus Magic:
A editable message will be sent notifying the person you casted Focus Magic on. If a Mage Focused Magic you a editable message thanking them will be sent.

Innervate:
Displays who Innervated you and sends them a editable message thanking them for their kind deed. Druids need love to.

Time Warp and Bloodlust:
You will be notified which Mage or Shaman's bloodlust you are affected by.

Camera Zoom:
Allows you to zoom the camera out past the default range for maximum situational awareness.

Boss Buffs:
You will be notified when you acquire certain special buffs during boss fights.
Example:Storm Power(+135% Crit Damage):Acquired during Hodir by touching someone with the Storm Cloud Buff.
Example: Fungal Creep(+50% Crit Rating):Acquired during Loatheb by killing a spore at close range.
Example: Toasty Fire(Immune to Freeze and Biting Cold):Acquired during Hodir by standing in range of a camp fire.
Example: Aura of Celerity(+20% Haste):Acquired during Thorim when a Priest mindcontrols a Warbringer.

==== *NOTE: ====
Certain parts of Mage Nuggets require that the in-game combat text be enabled to fully function but it is not required for the addon the work. Only the core component of the in-game combat text is required for these parts of the addon to function.

Interface > Combat Text > "Enable Floating Combat Text".

All sub-categories below this option can be unchecked

*Fixed Moonkin nugget to work with the new mechanics

Talking Sheep Timer

It would be great to go along with all the other timers is to have a timer of your sheeped mob so you would know when it is going to break.

Oh yes, if it is left blank it will reset to default. I thought you ment it was changing your custom messages to default. There is a check box to disable them but then that would also disable the ones you wanted. Guess I need to look into that. Thanks for pointing it out.

Just some input i was thinking of, would be pretty cool if you could make the sheep timer clickable to re-sheep the same target, kinda like Decursive, click it without loosing your target, and another idea is kinda a shout button to say how many seconds left on sheep, not like the old addons that spammed, but one you click yourself.

Ahh that must be a slightly new button! I never saw it before, thanks

And sometimes we have to disable all addons and reenable them after we crashed or are trying to find a fault addon etc

I dont think the Critical Mass watcher correctly catches other mage's critical masses

I have looked through all the Mage Nuggets saved variable files and all I find are "true/false" settings... nothing at all for saving frame positions that I can see. Thanks for the help!
Why is it that you have to enable and disable the addon. Just enable it for the characters you are currently using it with and disable it on the ones your not.

Saving Frame Positions

Unfortunately Mage Nuggets does not use its own file for saving frame positions. Rather they are placed in the standard "layout-local.txt" found within each individual characters sub-directory within the main WTF directory.

Would be handy if this could instead be changed to use the existing MageNuggets.lua where the rest of the settings are stored.

I'm wondering how I would anchor or make sure the Self/Target and cooldowns on spells/buffs are always up on the screen as in this picture..

http://s.wowinterface.com/preview/pvw38828.png

My Spartan would be complete if I could use some player/target frames like that or something.

Ideas?

Love the add-on, but have an issue with the new one. The cooldown monitor bar is stuck just to the left of my mage. I can move all of the other bars but not this one. I could on the update before the newest.

This issue is also posted over at Curse for this mod.
