And...the Shadow Protection problem noted below has happened again since the last post in a 25-man raid.

This time there were no people out of range. It prompted to buff Prayer of Shadow Protection 4 times again, despite it already buffing everyone the first time.

New problem on a Priest with SmartBuff 3.3d dev1.

No errors this round but...it couldn't recognize Prayer of Shadow Protection being on a 25 man raid on two occasions in the same session. It prompted to cast it 4 times (wasting mats) on each occasion. The Priest has Glyph of Shadow Protection installed.

SmartBuff is set to Shadow Protection / Group both checkmarked for Raid, Grp/Raid size 2, In Combat not checkmarked, UI Sync checkmarked, Grp Buff Check checkmarked. There was one person in the 25-man raid out of range, the reset were in range when the above Shadow protection problem occurred.

The next time it happened, there were 3 people in different parties in the raid out of range.

SmartBuff 3.3d dev1, USEnglish client/server, Wow 3.3.3a live. In an ICC10 raid on a shadow priest. The following LUA error occurred sometime prior to combat on a boss. I don't know the exact circumstances.

First LUA error from SmartBuff I have seen on the priest in forever. My actual character name appears in two places in the error; I have edited it out and replaced with "(name of my character)":

Not able to fix.

Can't seem to fix the problem, and it doesn't seem to remember that some people aren't buffed now, and it's just getting on my nerves cause people will say "No pally buff, then no heals for you!" and that pisses me off. I don't want that to happen no more, so I'm going to use PallyPower, atleast until this is 100% and sorted out, and working good.

Thanks though. This is a good addon for those that aren't a Paladin, but right now the best buff addon for me since I'm now playing a Paladin, is PallyPower.

Thank you.

By the way, note that something with Deadly Boss Mods is causing the addon to not wanna stop casting Wisdom over and over again on the same person. Not sure what it is, might be something you wanna look into if you want this to work 100% some day.

Good luck. I'll keep looking back here from time to time, to see the changelog, and see how things are coming along. Might try it again sometime.

Re: Problem.

Well, unfortunately even the Beta isn't fixing it, and so far it is still just Wisdom that keeps screwing up. I cast it on somebody, and it just randomly picks somebody to keep casting on over and over again, it won't register that I have casted it. It's very annoying. It causes me to have to not use it at all. Because I can't get past it, to be able to cast other buffs on anybody else.

I will try to remove Deadly Boss Mods and see if that will fix it. But if it is the problem, then it's going to need to work with DBM, because it's a very useful addon, and I don't wanna be without it.

I hope installing this Beta version will fix my problem. My problem occurs no matter what I do, so far.

I just installed this so we'll see what happens. But I'll explain what my problem is just in case this don't fix it.

Very often, when I use the Dungeon Finder to find a group to run an instance, as soon as I get into the instance and start casting buffs, one of those buffs (usually Wisdom *I'm playing a Pally right now*) it will want to constantly recast itself on the same person, over and over again, it's like it's not registering that I had already casted it.

It gets really annoying. Also, I'd like to request a feature, that once somebody has said in chat what buff they want, that all you have to do is click on that word in the chat, and it'll change your settings so that class will get that buff from you, that would make it alot easier, because they're attacking stuff, while I'm trying to fix SmartBuff so it'll cast the right buff on whom ever asked for a specific buff.

I'm new to using this addon I'll admit. I actually got it mixed up with a few others before, but aside from that, I'm positive I didn't do anything to screw the addon up so it wouldn't work right. So I hope we can get this working correctly. Also, if we do - then on my next pay check, I'd love to donate for this addon, because this is one of the most useful addons I ever had.

I got some ideas rollin' in my head for this addon, and I wanna help make them possible. I'm also a graphic design artist, so if it needs some graphical enhancements let me know, and we can put it together.

Just found a small bug that i've been experiencing with my mage...
It tries to buff with Arcane intellect even tho i have the groupbuff of Fel Intelligence from Warlocks... it's really annoying and it doesn't buff anything else until i move away from the warlock, but repeats itself once i get close to that warlock again... and i loose a huge amount of mana this way

Suggestion: allow changing buff setups when changing specs - different specs sometimes buff differently - i.e. a prot paladin wants righteous fury, but a holy paladin doesn't, so it'd be nice to not have to keep opening the options and toggling that (or maintaining it manually), with dual specs

Try snagging the Fubar plug-in for it (if it isn't already in the mod itself) and running Fubar2Broker.
