now that will rock the current raidframes i guess.... the parameters for ghost/dead/disc have 4 digits. what does the 4th represent? the alpha? that said -dead with (1,0,0,0.7) = bright red 1,0,0 with alpha(=opacity?) 0.7? -ghost with (1,1,1,0.6) = white 1,1,1 with alpha(=opacity?) 0.6? nice man, that lets me configure the bars as i wanted... raid: -full black when at full health an in range -decent opacity (opacity=alpha???) when out of range and alive -white for healthdeficit when it drops (not really sure about white yet tho) -red backdrop when dead or ghost -grey backdrop when disconnected (what colorcode does grey have? .3,.3,.3? and plain black? 0,0,0?) gotta test that as soon as i am at home classcolors would be even better. you could add a plain black background for the best visible overview and simply set the dead/ghost parameters to bright red .... no hurry tho. if you find a moment and if it is not too hard to change the code it would be nice to share this with us. not sure if i would prefer classcolors with black healthbars or even more blackbars with classcolorhealthbars. guess normal black bars with classcolored healthbars would look best to the rest of your UI, making it not so "rainbowlooking" in the bottomright corner

lib.lua: line 1047 there are 4 sets of numbers here, representing (red, blue, green, alpha). i have highlighted the bits you need to change in the code Code:
lib.PostUpdateRaidFrame = function(Health, unit, min, max) local disconnnected = not UnitIsConnected(unit) local dead = UnitIsDead(unit) local ghost = UnitIsGhost(unit) if disconnnected or dead or ghost then Health:SetValue(max) if(disconnnected) then Health:SetStatusBarColor(0,0,0,0.6) -- disconnected elseif(ghost) then Health:SetStatusBarColor(1,1,1,0.6) -- ghost elseif(dead) then Health:SetStatusBarColor(1,0,0,0.7) -- dead end else Health:SetValue(min) if(unit == 'vehicle') then Health:SetStatusBarColor(22/255, 106/255, 44/255) end end end |

does Qulight use the same background colors for dead ppl? or is there any possibility to set this different? i mean e.g. i would set the raidbackground color to 1,1,1 (pure white) to have a good contrast to the normal black when ppl drop in health. once they are dead they will be shown as completey white targets? or can i set the "dead" background to another color? meaning full health = black background = white dead = red or is there no such editable parameter and "background = dead"? could it be configuered to use class colors? as for my other questions (using visible 40 man raidsize and resizing the raidframes to fit): worked as well but looks kinda shitty if you lower the width to much you hardly see any names of ppl anymore reverted to original size again ^^ sorry for bugging you with so many questions, but i am much into your interace and just trying to fix the last little things to my pleasure, tho i am a lua editing noob ^^

a fresh install may be needed as im switching out grid2 for vuhduh on the healing layout. currently in the update:
ShadsCore - changes to the textures, they have been "separated" a bit more to allow for more flexibility for multiple resolutions. this will need to be tested by people with different resolutions - bar1 texture is now bigger, 12 buttons which seems to be a common request up from the 8 i normally had - the textures themselves look a bit more sleeker - layout switch button is wider - code change for vuhduh instead of grid QuLight unit frames - boss bars now have player only debuffs - different location, just above raid frames - player/target frames have red backgrounds, raid is still grey - removed target debuffs changing position in healing layout. healing frames will sit just left of them and above player frame - target of target debuffs Misc - moved bigwigs timers to make space for boss frames - using SexyMaps clock instead of diminfo clock - fine tuned some other positioning stuff - updates to various addons ofc ToDo - some frame animations? not too sure what to animate though, maybe the side bars that show on mouse over - easy installation, no need to rename WTF files etc but the guy i have asked for help on this hasnt responded to me - change skada looks to something a bit more fitting and easy to see i was tempted to use atlas loot. but i felt it was far too bulky as you need Atlas as well. i think they have said they are working on a new look so we'll see what happens i guess :P yea you can display all 8 groups. in oUF_QuLight\cfg.lua, line 21: cfg.RaidShowAllGroups = false -- show raid groups 6, 7 and 8 (more than 25man raid) set false to true changing the size of the frames? hm not sure what would happen if you did its in core.lua line 414 ]]):format(65, 25)) 65 is width, 25 is height. lower 65, not sure how the names would look though |

nice, will try this workaround once i am back home
p.s.: hardly can't await your next update (beside the fact that it is already running flawless for me). you already know if it will require a new clean install or if we can just update the necessary files? i added many addons and indiviualized many things (e.g. like omen, recoloring some things in oUF_Qulight and stuff and i guess it would take hours or days to reconfigure everything again ) one wish (if possible, just an optical thingy and we have xmas soon): implement a new atlasloot frame. this horrible standard blizzard UI-like fame looks plainly shitty among your great UI i know atlasloot has never been part of your UI but the creators of atlasloot refuse answering this request. unfortunately they do not use the blizzard own skin but they selfmade lookalike... sux bigtime tho one more cool addition would be changing the size of the raidframes a little tad smaller and make it possible to show up to 40 ppl (8 rows with 5 ppl each like in ordos raids, whatsoever) but still have enough space between the raidframe and enemyframe to stick omen or other stuff between. ok, one could disable the raidframe and usw grid but i personally rather keep those aspects the way you set them up as they look awesome!

short answer: no, see bottom to keep raid frames grey with every other frame red
longer answer: all the colours for each frame are pulled from the same function, we can make it so each frame has its own colour, however when some one goes out of range/offline the handler for this only hides the frames health bar (thus revealing the background which you have coloured red). so because of the way oUF handles range and alpha, i dont think the way you want it would be possible (or a way that i cant think off because it exceeds my knowledge). but i have made a little work around kind of thing that will keep the raid frames coloured grey whilst having every other frame red still oUF_QuLight\lib.lua line 326 (where we originally changed the background colour) delete it, replace with: Code:
if f.mystyle == "raid" then b:SetVertexColor(.3,.3,.3) -- background colour of raid frame else b:SetVertexColor(.7,.3,.3) -- background colour of everyother frame end |

according to raidframes i have a question.
are the personal frame and the raidframes linked together in any way? i have changed my personal (and target) frame to be black and go bright red as i or the enemy loses life. so far so good. now to the raidframe: seems to be the same colorwise tho i have not edited it separately. fine too. when a raidmember is dead he turns completely red, fine too. but not the question: when ppl are out of reach they turn somehow red too. i mean with sort of opacity to show they are out of reach, which is just fine, but they turn red even tho they are still alive. when i get back into reach i see them with they normal black color again. can i edit the color for ppl out of reach? to e.g. not change to red but just with the higher opacity level indicating they are out of reach? i hope i expressed what i mean in some sort of way must be something in the cfg.lua as well but i honestly have no clue which line this might be....

AddOns\oUF_QuLight\cfg.lua find this line: cfg.ShowRaid = true -- show raid frames change true to false, save, reload UI ingame |

Me again How do i remove the default Raid Frames? the ones for DPS? I find them to show very little info and would like to use grid or Vuhdo but they overlap other frames if i put them in that corner.
Thanks. |

I'm still getting the Aurora function error (attempting to do a blizzard only thing) every time i try to speak to a profession trainer. Even upon a fresh install and deleting my wtf and cache folders.
Sorry if this was already answered.
