What is it

nibPointDisplay is a customizable graphical display of class points and aura stacks. There's a lot of options, so be prepared to get your hands dirty and your interface looking good


Textures

nibPointDisplay supports SharedMedia, so you can add any custom textures you'd like. By default it comes with Triangle, Circle, Plain, Soul Shard and Holy Power textures. Please see the bottom of this page for a small SharedMedia guide.

Shared Media Guide

If you wish to use your own custom textures, then the best way to do this is with SharedMedia.


Step 1: Install SharedMedia
  1. Download SharedMedia
  2. Copy the SharedMedia folder from the download to your Interface\AddOns\ folder
  3. Inside the Interface\AddOns\SharedMedia\ folder, rename MyMedia.bat.txt to MyMedia.bat
  4. Double-click MyMedia.bat

Step 2: Install your custom textures
  • You can either grab textures from other downloads (such as Power Auras Classic) or create your own. Custom textures will have either a .blp or .tga file extension.
  • Move any custom texture files you want to use into the SharedMedia_MyMedia\background\ folder.
  • Run the MyMedia.bat file once again to register your new textures.

First of all, let me just say this Add On is amazing, especially since so many other AddOns havent been update yet to reflect things like Soul Shards and Holy Power. Its been very helpful and very easy to us.

I am just wondering if you will be adding, or if it is even possible to add something along the lines of the Druid Eclipse bar for Lunar and Solar Energy?

Thanks for this great AddOn.

Soul Shards

I'm having a little trouble with soul shards. When ever I log out, and log back in, the bar displays as if I have 0 shards, and only updates once my shard count changes, or I turn on/off configuration mode. If I had to hazard a guess I would say it is due to the fact that soul shards are the only resource that don't default start at 0 (holy power, combo points etc. all start at 0).

is there a way to hide secondary offspec.

Hello first of all wanted to say great addon i lub with passion. Now my question is on my warrior i have duel spec prot/fury so thunderstruck/meatclever. How do i hide one of the other when i change spec. I try looking for an option on this but the only way i found is to manually disable one when changing spec via ingame config.

Is there any chance to implement to it Eclipse Bar and Death Knight Runes. There is nice addon for runes, Magic Runes but its not as pretty as your bars.

P.S Just came to mind, please add Serendipity for holy priests

Eclipse and Runes are mechanics which kind of lie outside the scope of nibPointDisplay.

I can add Serendipity, though I'll need it's SpellID. Enter this script into your chat window and tell me the number it spits out when Serendipity procs

Howdy! First I want to thank you for a great and very sexy looking addon. But I've got one little complaint. I'm using this addon with Kong UI Hider, making it hide out of combat and pop up when I enter combat.

The problem here is that the Soul Shard frame doesn't have a name for Kong to save. So whenever I log out the settings in Kong won't be saved. I tried fixing this myself but I got a cute little WoW Error.
Any chance you could fix/add this?

I could give all the frames their own names, that'd probably fix it. Does the in-built combat fader not have enough options? I could probably add more there, as well

You mean there's a built in combat fader in your addon? If so then I'm really blind. But if It's Kong you're referring to then the problem is because soul shard frame doesn't have a name, the settings can't be saved. And I can't give it a own name in the addon either.

Also, I don't want to complain too much, but the addon seems to to use unnecessary much memory. Maybe because it loads every module for the classes and simply disables them, instead of not loading them at all if the function doesn't match the class? I'm somewhat of a addon-usage idiot. My max personal limit of memory usage at any time is about 8mb. nibPD using 900kb isn't helping much with that limit I'm afraid :<
Hope I'm not asking too much and thanks for the quick reply though!

Yeah, there's a combat fader now for each Point Display. I've uploaded a new version with frame names just in case.

I'll definitely be looking into modularizing the different displays. Right now it's a matter of my own addon writing skill, I've never modularized on this level before so I'll have to figure out how to do it Don't be too concerned with Addon memory usage. It's largely a useless figure unless you're actually running out of system memory
