CS AddOnOrganizer  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.0400
by: skybox [More]

#---------------------------------------#
#Thank you for trying CS_AddOnOrganizer!#
#---------------------------------------#

#-Version: 2.0400-#

#-Features:-#
This mod allows you to turn on and off,
all of you'r current mods in you'r addon
directory. I made this because I wanted
a simple and straight way to get an over-
view of my addons, and a quick way to
enable and disable them.
Now you can create profiles, load them
and delete them. Something you all have
been waiting for.
Thanks to all who twists my arm to update
and make this mod better all the time.
Next stop might be a total makeover and
improved simplicity.

#-History:-#
v.2.0400
Just updated the toc file to have the
right version. Nothing else has been
modified. Promise!

v.2.0310
I got really bored with the way the mod
looked so this is purely a visual update,
which sometimes is good... Well anyways
this is waaay cleaner than the original
(although I'll still keep the old versions
code for the look, so I will be able to
switch back if it should become an issue).
I also have plans for making my own skin
for it, but thats kinda on the horizon atm.

v.2.0300
Updated the mod after a long time with
absolutely no WOW. Well besides the update
of the UInumber i have also made the
tooltips visible eventhough the "newbie"-
tooltip option is off (a setting in the
interface from Blizzard).
So enjoy once again!

v.2.0011
Fixed a "bug" so that titles with more
than 49 characters will be shorted down
to 45 and have "..." at the end.

v.2.0010
Updated the code a little.
Addons with titles longer than 45 chars
the first 45 chars will be shown and
have "..." at the end to indicate that
the title is longer than what is able
to shown.
Tested with BC and found working.

v.2.0000
Changed the layout of the buttons to the
new format implemented in 20000 in the
xml. Changed the toc version number to
match the new version.

v.1.1200
Updated to be loaded in the new patch.

v.1.1100
Since 1.1011 a bug have been fixed when
trying to load a profile with more than
20 addons in the list.
Made the profile name appear in the
textbox for fast modification.
Updated the version number to function
in WoW interface version 1.1100.

v.1.1011
Button added to the game main menu.
This is placed below as there might be
changes to this menu in the near future.
When a profile is selected the name is
written in the textbox for a much better
modification oportunity than having to
type an existing name to modify it.

v.1.1010
As you all have requested; Profiles have
been implemented. To learn how to use these
newly implemented profiles read the
"How-To". Also still programming on the
concept of K-I-S-S, "Keep It Simple Stupid"!

v.1.1000
Updated version and ui number to match the
1.10 patch!
Nothing new yet, but the old stuff works
perfectly

V.1.900
Made Version number match Wow's two first
digits. So this is version 00 heh...
Added Moveable Frame and close on ecsape.
Profiles are coming, and will now be easier
with blizzard having implemented it :P.

V.1.4
Code Cleanup, and added some small visual
features for addons wich is enabled, but
can't be loaded.

V.1.3
Added Slash Command "/aoo" for simplicity.

V.1.2
The bug with enable all,
and disable all, have now been fixed!
Thanks to Ezikial who reported them

V.1.1
Fixed Bug when more than 22 mods are in the
directory.
Fixed Bug when scrolling.

V.1.0First release version, so no changes yet!
Although any suggestions about eventual
changes are welcome!

#-How to Use?:-#
-Method #1:
To open the CS_AddOnOrganizer, navigate
to the keybindings area in the menu, and
locate CS_AddOnOrganizer.
Hereafter assign a key to open the
organizer.

-Method #2:
Make a new macro and in the script write:

/script CS_AddOnOrganizer_ListShowHide();

And execute the macro.

-Method #3:
Same as method #2, only with the command
'/aoo', this can also be used from the chat.

-Method #4:
Button added to the game main menu.

-When you have it opened:
Now all you need to do is to click the
different addons, to change thier state
from enabled to disabled. After all
you'r changes have been made, click
Accept.
You can also click Enable all or the
disable all for a quicker way to do this.

-Profiles:
Press the button "Profiles..." and a small
frame next to the main interface is shown.
Press it again to close it.
When you have it opened, set up you'r
interfaces as you would like them in you'r
new profile. When you have them all set
as you like, write a name for the profile
and press "Save". Now the profile is saved
and can be restored from the dropdown list
below.
If you can't remember how a certain profile
looked, you can always restore them from
the list, and it will automatically turn
the addons on and off in the original view.
When you have selected a profile you would
like to use, select it in the list, and
press "Accept" in the main window, and
voilá! You're all set

-Deleting Profiles:
Select a profile from the list, and press
"Delete" and the profile is gone.

Pleease update this!

Also...would it be possible to have the LOD (load on demands) load automatically when you have the appropriate profile "set"? Because it sucks to continually go through the list and say "yes, load that piece...yes load that piece...etc". A lot of addons...a few too many LODs in there lol. Help?

That is AWESOME addon.
Ofcourse, the functionality of loading "Sets" of addons (so I could load "Base addons" and "Pala addons" and "Battleground addons", and load "Auction/Professions addons" only when I want them) would be Great addition, but even now this addon is so clean and usefull than I cannot find words to fully describe it : )
Amazing job, man!

I'll look into the profile merging of which you speak Good idear thanks!
Just wondering if you are still considering the possibility of profile merging or layering. I would love the ability to keep a core set of addon's as always on (bongos2, x-pearl, cartographer, bagnon, etc.), load class specific addon's on a per-character basis (Necrosis, Roguefocus, etc.), and then be able to load the more situation specific addon's on the fly as needed (Battleground, Arena, Professions, Raiding, Auction House, and so on).

I play multiple characters, I am an add-on junkie (at last check aoo was reporting 96 installed addon's), and I and am constantly trying out new mod's, so my add-on list is ever-changing. The thought of trying to create and maintain a profile for each character and each situation seems like it would be more trouble that it is ultimately worth.

Ideally I would like to have the ability to simply assign each of my addon's to a category (always-on, rogue, healer, solo, group, auction house, battleground, etc.), then be able to load up whichever categories were appropriate for the situation at hand. If I wanted to take my rogue to the BG's for example, I'd like to be able to just load up always-on, rogue, and battleground mod's, then when I need to raise some cash, switch over to the profession and auction house mod's (without having to sort through my entire list, and trying to remember that stubby goes with the auctioneer mod's, and what was the name of that new druid mod I was trying out? I think it started with a P....or was it an M?).

Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Feature request

What I'm asking for, I don't know if it would be easy, but can CS_AOO assign character names according to the profile they are using in the .lua SV file?
I haven't seen a .lua file (yet) that specifies a certain loadout for a specific character, either in the global SV folder, or the character SV folder.

Essentially, I'm trying to make an addon to WoWRoster that will accept a per-character listing of the addons that character is using (at the time of logout, I suppose). But there are no addons that currently do this (I've yet to try LoadIt since it's reported as extremely buggy).

From the SV file I've seen, the profile name is the [1] slot, with CS_AOO in the [2] slot, followed by everything else, but no designation per character. See what I'm getting at? I don't know how hard it would be, but if this could be added in, I could work more on the php coding for the WoWRoster addon than trying to learn Lua.

Yeah Load-it is also an addon manager, but imo it has too many disturbing features and flashy gimmicks, so i made this simple and clean.
