MaltsActionBarHider

Version: 1.082
by: maltese [More]

Simple Addon to hide your action bars. I like my UI clean and as such I don't want my actionbars shown. I couldn't find an action bar mod that only hid the bars, so here this is! This should also hide any Vehicle/Shapeshifting/Stance/Stealth/Forms/Aspect/Totems Bars as well as associated Blizzard art.

If you are in need of a vehicle bar check out my vehiclebar addon - MaltsVehicleBar

The intent of this addon is to provide one feature only (hiding ALL your bars) and as such any other features are out of the scope of this addon. I'd suggest m ActionBars or rActionbarstyler if you are looking for a lightweight bar mod with more features.

This addon uses absolutely zero memory and CPU cycles!

After placing all your abilities and macros on the standard blizzard bars you can setup keybinds through the keybind menu. Then enable this addon to hide all your bars.

1.082 ToC Update for MoP

1.081 ToC Update for 4.2 Patch
1.08 Updated to work with Nvidia's 2d and 3d Surround as well as ATi's eyefinity. If you are still seeing weird textures send me a PM with the resolution you are running in.
1.07 Potential fix for some taint issues. Thanks to Grimsin
1.06 Rewritten and Cleaned up code some more. Fixed issues with having to turn off action bars in interface menu. All you should have to do now is enable the addon to hide everything.
1.05 Cleaned up code and removed unnecessary frames from new hide list
1.04 Temp test of new code * Unreleased
1.03 BonusActionBar and PetActionBar are hidden for real this time. Ugly fix for hiding VehicleFrameBar but it works
1.02 Added VehicleFrameBar and buttons
1.01 Added ShapeshiftFrame and buttons
1.00 Intial Release
Optional Files (0)

Sorry for the delay in responding to you, I've been busy leveling and getting ready for raiding . I have a completely different addon for the vehicle bar.

You can check it out here: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...ehicleBar.html

Found a solution to hiding all the standard bars without having to turn them off in the interface menu. All you should have to do now is enable the mod to hide your bars.

Funny how simplicity is usually the best method to solve an issue. I've come up with a very simple, but not so elegant, solution to completely hiding the bars. This should work reguardless of class/spec or in combat/OOC while keeping the memory and CPU usage to 0 all while not affecting FPS at all (hopefully )

heh, lets see how much better it looks like that. Thanks

EDIT: Sadly this method works, but introduces other issues

Suggestion

Hey if you are having issues hiding frames and bars etc. you can use this code.

HookScript("OnShow", function(self) self:Hide() end)

Basically

FrameName:HookScript("OnShow", function(self) self:Hide() end)

I am sure you have all your frame names.
