PartyQuests light. I wrote this when I realized that Cosmos PartyQuests was not reliable and very heavy. People liked it so now it's here!

NOTE: The party parts of the addon are no longer functional, and, at this time, I have no plans to get them working again. If I have the desire and the time in the future, I might get to them. So, this is QuestMods light.

Basic functionality
-------------------
- Shows quest levels in the quest log (of course) and also in the watch frame and map. This feature can be shut off in interface options.

- Shows a clear message on the screen when objectives for a quest are complete. Can be configured to play a sound as well (defaulted on).

- Configuration option allows user to send quest objective progress updates to the chat window for easy review.

- Configuration option allows quest objective progress and completion to be reported to party through chat.

- A button and message appear to the right of the center of the screen when the player receives an item that starts a quest. A sound can play as well if configured to do so (defaulted on). Left clicking the button will open the player's bags. Right clicking will simply hide the button. The button disappears when clicked or when all quests have been activated from the items. Can be configured to display button upon login when user has unactivated quest starter items in bags. Button can be moved by holding down shift, left clicking on the button and dragging with the mouse. A configuration button has been made available in configuration options to make the quest starter alert button visible for moving if it is not visible.

- Keeps track of which quest headers were collapsed and which quests were being tracked for each character through logout and login.

- Player can use ctrl+click in the quest log to drop a quest. Doing so will prompt the user with a confirmation dialog. If shift+ctrl+click is used, the confirmation dialog will not appear allowing for quick dropping of multiple quests.

Configuration
------------
Use the QuestMods options panel to configure the add-on by opening the main menu, clicking the Interface button, clicking the Addons tab, and selecting the QuestMods entry.

Squishy Tia A Murloc Raider Forum posts: 4 File comments: 98 Uploads: 0	Good to see you here Xerty (chibidelenn here from the Cosmos forums) You'll also notice that if you have this addon enabled and use the TooltipsComplete from the Cosmos addons that were actually updated earlier this year that all tooltips appear behind their parent frame (bags, AH window, etc.). The only way to alleviate that at the moment is to disable this particular addon. Well, that and this addon isn't even functioning at all right now - you get blank quest description windows.

It must have been a glitch in my wow program, as I have been unable to reproduce the issue since I last posted. So my apologies for jumping the gun!

I'm not sure what you mean by "click into the chat window", but with the quest log open, I am able to press Enter to open the chat line. I can type in it just fine, and I can link quest entries without problem. I don't know why you are having problems.

NiQil A Deviate Faerie Dragon Forum posts: 13 File comments: 56 Uploads: 0	Possible bug I'm noticing when using this addon now that if I have the questlog open, I am unable to click into the chat window and type, such as to link a quest I am working on. The only way I can do it is if I have the chat window already enabled for typing, and then open the questlog. If the questlog is open first, it will not let me click into any channel to allow typing. I don't recall every previously having that problem, and am wondering if this is an issue with this addon, or something else.

I'm really sorry. I have just been really busy. A lot of the work is done. Just got to set aside time to finish up. Hopefully very soon.

At the risk of sounding a nag...any update on an eta? I miss this addon a great deal on my alts.

Perhaps make the split frame optional so people can choose QuestMods or Blizzards 'look' and still keep the other functionality the addon offers.

First and foremost the features of having your quest levels displayed and show the progression or completion of a quest in party aren't part of the new Blizzard frame and tbh these reasons could be enough to have this addon installed. Second (and maybe the most important reason for me) is the feature of having the list of quests frame and the details quest frame separated and viewable only when I want them too. Most of the time I don't need to see the quest details (especially after 4 years of playing the game) and a simple list of quests in an easy to navigate frame is enough for me to decide what to do next. In that department Blizzard failed miserably with their new questlog frame and this is where QuestMods shines (at least in my book)! So don't give up on this addon Yarko and we will give you cookies! I would really love to see it continue, as I love the lightweight side of this application that adds the quest levels to my quests and shows me quest completion and so forth. However, I realize that some of its functionality (mainly the split quest frame) is no longer needed, as it is now part of the standard blizz setup.
