27/10/2014. Rogues, Druids. Combo/Anticipation points and the WoD changes. DUF currenty/always has them "on the target" where available points dissapear out-of-combat and (in WoD) show up again when a new target is selected (as does the default WoD Blizzard frames). Since early Beta I've been testing a version with the points "on the player" ie. they act like a class bar, where available points can be displayed even without a target selected and also have an out-of-combat alpha option. Everything else is the same, with the exception of the actual settings moving from the target to the player class bar section of the options window. I'm thinking of implementing this "on-the-player" version and moving your current target combo/anticipation configuration to the player (no change of on screen position etc.) and setting the oocAlpha to zero (the points will "behave" as they currently do until you adjust the oocAlpha option if desired). Thoughts, concerns, better ideas? I have no implementation date in mind as yet, if at all. |

I can only suggest you first double check your settings for the class context colours then try building up the string in reverse one piece at a time and testing (targeting different classes) (and even posting the result) at each stage. $cw$cl then $coFFFFFFFF$cc$ct $rc $cw$cl then Lv$cq$lv $coFFFFFFFF$cc$ct $rc $cw$cl or before the above, test each colour change individually $cw$cl $coFFFFFFFF$cc$ct $rc Lv$cq$lv

Fizzlemizz, first let me thank you for all the work you do with this add-on. I'm redoing my UI and wanted to use it for my non-raid unit frames. The problem is, once I have begun to going alone in instances to test the UI, I am getting a lot of error messages.

Hey Pelayin,
Thank you for trying DUF. I'll take a closer look at these later in the day but at first glimpse it appears we may be dealing with two Blizz. induced problems (as I said I can't guarantee it, some may be my fault at this stage). First is an issue with having the taintlog enabaled actually causing errors to be thrown from various Blizz modules like UnitPopup (This one persists in MoP and I may look at creating my own popup framework at some stage rather than calling the default). The second is a difference between 5.0.x and MoP beta (5.0.x throws errors while in combat claiming to be a call to protected functions and then naming various DUF(or other addon) related Hide/Show etc. functions while MoP beta throws none of these errors). I'm not going to try and fix/workaround unill I know if it is actually needed when MoP drops as gold. Errors from different specs is new to me but then again, it's not easy to have characters for every class and spec. especially at high enough levels for GB . I'll do what testing I can against Beta, assuming it's still live today. Edit: Testing with MoP Beta: didn't throw any errors when switching spec. (tried Pally and DK) or in combat (tried Brim Batol). So as far as I can tell it's just the taintlog bug when logging in or reloading which goes away when you turn the taintlog off (makes some debugging a bit more of a hassle but isn't needed for everyday play). Turning the taintlog back on caused the logon error to appear again but over the testing I did, no taint was recorded. Fingers crossed in 3 and a bit days I'll be playing and not addon fixing .

Ahhh... much, much better
I also discovered the origin of the DUF errors I was getting when changing specs. It was a conflict with VuhDo, easily solved by selecting the options of hiding the original Blizzard frames on VuhDo. Sometimes I still get DUF errors when mounting vehicles, but I wouldn't be surprised if they'll disappear when I change from Dominos to Ion. Thanks again. |

I use Dominos, do you have any vehicle examples that don't require a dungeon to test? I was doing the Harrison Jones daily in Uldum yesterday and just did the Wyrmrest dragon daily and Oculus without any errors (Well, just combat ones but they were pointing the finger at Mapster this time ).
Edit: After much time fooling around in the Oculus and fiddling with BugSack, Swatter and the taintlog I think todays update should fix the vehicle/combat errors both in 5.0.5 and beta. Thank you for your persistance and testing.

No, thank you very much for your diligence and hard work.
Last night I was experimenting with vehicles in Grim Batol, Oculus and 3 dailies (the Coldarra, Wyrmrest Temple and Uldum ones). It was near 3 in the morning when I ended so I went to bed instead to this forum. Now I came here ready to write a wall of text with everything I have noticed, and you already have resolved the problem? I have no excuse now to write an enormous post I don't think I will have a chance to log in the game until tomorrow afternoon, but again, thank you. |

It's not quite resolved yet but getting there. I'm still getting some errors leaving a vehicle in combat that is proving eluisive but I have a few things to try. Thank you again Pelayin.

Every time I log in or portal the default blizzard frames appear, this is particularly annoying when arriving in combat.
Entering /duf twice in the command line clears the default frames unless there is something targeted in which case the target frame remains. |

I can't reproduce the symptems and I've had my mage portaling and teleporting all over Azeroth. Was this just with the latest version? Do you get any errors? If so could you paste them here? Could you check to see if you have the same problem without any other addons loaded?

I've been having these problems for a while just thought it was one of the bugs being worked on.
I did some testing with nothing but DUF and swatter loaded I get the same error, although the player frame doesn't appear with the latest version Party and target do. As before blizzard Target frame remains even after entering /duf twice. (Teleporting with myself selected as target for testing purposes) Swatter reports no errors. The error occurs on all types of portaling (portal, teleport, summon, enter/leave instance etc.) I deleted and re-downloaded the addon but there was no change to the above results. the Player frame does appear if you are not in party

Last thing I can think of is a possible configuration error. Try renaming the Discorunitframes.lua file in your [WOW]\WTF\Account\[ACCT. NAME]\SavedVariables folder before logging on.
This will give you completely clean default setup. Test with the default a let me know what happens.

when in party the same error occured, default party and target frame appeared. The target frame only appears when in party with target selected before portal (Only DUF and Swatter loaded) |
