Description:

MSBT is designed to be an extremely lightweight, efficient, and highly configurable mod that makes it easier to see combat information by scrolling the information on the screen in separate, dynamically creatable scroll areas. It is a replacement for Blizzard's Floating Combat Text and Damage output.


Features:
  • Lightweight and efficient design.
  • Scroll incoming damage/heals, outgoing damage/heals, and notifications in separate configurable scroll areas on the playing field.
  • Display player and pet cooldown completion alerts.
  • Display loot alerts with a total of how many are now in inventory.
  • Add triggers that will allow you to show notifications based on a variety of conditions.
  • Assign a sound file to play for events/triggers.
  • Dynamically create new scroll areas and assign any event/trigger to them.
  • Customize the position, size, animation style, enabled state, font style, font size, font outline, and opacity for each of the scroll areas.
  • Customize each individual event's color, font style, font size, font outline, opacity, output message, enabled state, and scroll area.
  • Set "Master Font" settings that will be inherited by all of the scroll areas and the events in them unless they are overridden at the scroll area or event level.
  • Merge AoE data into one event with cumulative damage/healing done with number of normal and crits specified.
  • Show overhealing amounts against yourself or party/raid members.
  • Color unit names according to their class (including CUSTOM_CLASS_COLORS support).
  • Color damage amounts according to damage type.
  • Show partial effects (resists, absorbs, vulnerabilities, etc) colored according to type.
  • Filter output information with a full suite of spam controls.

Question: System [errors] and quest related info?

Hi,

Long time user here, can't remember how many years this is the only combat text addon that suits the pro needs of mine (pro only in the sense of fiddling with addons ).

I got two issues that bugging me since ages:

-Can't find the system error settings in the config, and can't move it to other configured areas and change the size, add sound, etc...

-Also the same with quest [completion] text. I would like to move it around, resize and all.

Everything else is just crazy good, with this addon I was actualy able to remove like 4-5 addons in the past that did something else.

Hi Mikord

I'm from China. And I use this addon since very beginning.

I found that the harm from environment cannot shown in chinese, such as -114 Falling, -200 Drowning(should be -114 掉落,-200 窒息)...

I'm sure that question is simple for you, would you please tell me how to fix?

I would suggest you submit a feature request from the main addon page for features that are not available in the addon.

Item count bug

I'm assuming this is your addon since it's the only place I see the issue. When I buy items (like seeds for Tiller's), MSBT shows the quantity of an item...except, it always shows me as having one more than exists.

So, for example, I just bought 14 songbell seeds. I didn't already have any, and when I finished, it told me I had 15. I don't, I have only 14. Gets very confusing.

Commenting out line 1461 in MSBTMain.lua works as a temporary fix, at least for a rogue. Not sure if it borks Monks.

In MSBTTriggers.lua line 879 Change it from

powerTypes["LIGHT_FORCE"] = SPELL_POWER_CHI
SPELL_POWER_CHI = 12 which is what SPELL_POWER_LIGHT_FORCE used to be enumerated to

Unknown if this will resolve MSBT with Monks atm however this will be the future global used vs SPELL_POWER_LIGHT_FORCE which was removed

So I got 3 errors right now with Miks with 5.1.

1st one is

Edit: Would just like to say, making the changes that fyrye suggested, plus making the same change in the first error (it points to another occurrence of LIGHT_FORCE instead of CHI, and I searched a second in the MSBTMain.lua too), seems to have it working.
