BlkUI  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.3B
by: Blacksad [More]

RESOLUTION: 1920X1080

A sleek looking, minimalist, all purpose Rogue UI.

Everything is set to track buffs/debuffs/procs/CD times in PvE and should require next to no setup.

Although this is set up to be Rogue specific, you can simply use any character class.

For PvP target defensive cooldowns are tracked via Weakauras, and personal CC abilities via icons above nameplates.

Let me know if you have any questions.

(Ctrl click Skada button to reset data)

Directions:

The person who downloads this has to unpack everything using an application which can unzip folders (Winzip, etc.), and then put all the folders in his / her World of Warcraft folder.

Copy your current WTF/Interface folders to your desktop to back them up before installing.

You then place the downloaded WTF/Interface folders into your Wow directory in their place.

When you download this, edit the folders to rename them from the generic "Account Name", "Server", "Character" to your actual accountname - the same goes for the server- and characternames. Do this first, before you even load up the game. Otherwise, the settings for everything will not take, and you may have to do it over to get everything working properly.

Upon entering game, make sure all addons are enabled! Make sure "Load out of date Addons" is checked!!!

Once loaded with all addons enabled, you will get a pop-up asking if you want to install BlkUI. Choose "Yes", and you should be pretty much good to go.

If any profiles for specific addons have issue loading, you may choose the Blk_UI profile for said addon.

You can then copy your bindings-cache.wtf and macros-cache.txt in from your backed up desktop folders, and keep your previous macros/keybindings.

Don't update Sharedmedia or Sharedmedia: Additional Fonts, as they it will overwrite the in-game font settings.

Addons Included:

Aurora, Bagnon, Bartender, Gnosis, Raven, Fonter, VuhDo, HideBossFrame, HideRaidFrame, Stuf Unit Frames, Reflux, SharedMedia, WeakAuras, Phanxchat, SexyMap, Skada, KgPanels, Tidyplates, Tiptac, DBM, HideBlizzardRaidFrame, Rogue Spam Reborn.
__________________________________________________________________________________________

Changed loader to work correctly. (Thanks to Real of RealUI!)

Added in the option to toggle most of the UI on/off at will.

Redid boss frames to look better and have a castbar.

Lots of odds and ends.

It gives a really nice visual display as to what is going on with your target. I also made a few new visual displays similar to how the player frame looks when you pop something like Shadow Dance (the wavy purple haze that goes over the frame) and set them up for Combat Readiness (Spinning swords), Evasion, Sprint, Smoke Bomb, etc.

For Subterfuge and Shadow Dance, it looks the exact same as CS/Rupture in the picture, but just shows on the left side of the player frame. I know there's only enough space for one, and since Subterfuge and Shadow Dance don't exactly work together at the same time, you don't need more space. I believe that this could be used for abilities such as Adrenaline Rush and perhaps Blindside Procs for Combat or Assassination. I'm going to continue experimenting with this.

I'm actually kind of curious about your thoughts on people releasing slightly edited versions of your UI, Black. I'm currently trying to transform it into a solid PVP interface (although having to learn proper usage of the various addons slows me down).
Sounds pretty cool. I'd probably rather not have people tag a whole new release of the same UI just because they changed a few weakauras though. I'd just paste the strings to import for people who were interested. Thanks for the feedback though!

Yes, Blk, thanks a lot for this, its absolutely lovely. I havent played for 4 years, I used to use muqqs, but this is nicer. And thanks for answering our questions.

I would also like to know how to add curses to vuhdo, since Im maining a mage now.
I'll look around and see if I can turn it on. Being a healer/debuff addon primarily, and a Raid frame addon second, I'm absolutely positive there's an easy way to do this. I'll reply with my findings soon.

Easy! /wa, go to Offensive Ability Bars, and choose Renataki. Right click, and duplicate. Now go to trigger, and input the name of the buff Bad Juju gives, which is Juju Madness. Go to the display tab, and you can recolor the bar and change the name. Right click the main aura, like you did to duplicate, and rename it to Juju or whatever.

You can do that with any buff in the game if you want to make it easy.

Adding New Offensive Ability Bars

Hey there,

First of all, thanks for your time and effort for this wonderful suite. I have a simple question. How can I add Bad Juju and Talisman of Bloodlust procs to the Offensive Ability Bars just like Renataki.

It's done through a combat log trigger with Weakauras. Just /wa, go to the one labeled "interrupt", and go to display. You can then change the output channel.

It's Tiptac. Just /tiptac and you can change pretty much anything about it there.

Re: Re: Additional Functionality

I just came back from a couple of years absence and I kinda need to see ability text when I hover over them on the bar. I cant figure out for the life of me how to do that though, any hints? So just to be clear I want to see what an ability does when I hover over it in the bartender bar.

Edit. It wasnt bartender, it was in the regular options under help and click 'enhance something or other'.

2) When you hover your mouse over somebody, the target information thingy on the bottom right interferes with the interface. There either needs to be an option to remove this completely or to move it. If you don't know what I mean by "target information thingy", I mean where it says the target's name, level, and type...i.e Illidan Level 70 Demon.

3) The action bar box that is toggled by that orange arrow in the DPS box needs to be able to be moved. It is interfering with the target information thingy I described in #2.

Other than that the interface is very clean and presentable.
/bartender -> Choose bar -> state configuration -> Put Stance configuration to the bar you want when stealthed. you can hide it. Voila.

I know you've worked hard on it and in this case we're the lazy ones just taking and using it, but I have some small requests. I see that you have an arena team with a decent rating and it makes me curious about whether or not you'd be willing to look into additional functionality in relation to PVP.

The current setup is great for keeping track of whatever buffs and debuffs you have or have put on an enemy, but it doesn't show right out of the box what other debuffs have been applied to your opponents, or the durations that remain. My attempts with Stuf unitframes to display these has been rather poor (I can get an okay setup but it refuses to show a number in relation to how much longer the debuffs will be on the opponent) and I'm interested to see if you have any better solutions to this, assuming you are willing to add such functionality.

Anyways, great setup. I love it.
I've considered doing that, but haven't implemented it in full yet.

What you can do is show this in multiple ways: /stuf, target, auras will show all debuffs on target. Just move them and resize them where you'd like.
Conversely, you can also /raven, new bar group, name it "Target debuffs", and just go throught the checkbox "Auto track debuffs" etc.

Either way will work.
