oUF Lumen

Before I used oUF and started writing my own layout and small addons, Pitbull, Grid and ClassTimer were a big part of the functionality of my UI. Since then I tried to cut down on the number of addons while trying to retain its functionality. oUF_lumen using the power of oUF tries to accomplish this by creating a customized set of unit frames tha replace Pitbull, Grid and ClassTimer while being light and functional.

Compact config: https://i.imgur.com/34Yilqx.jpg

If you're interested in my UI it's here.

This is a PERSONAL Layout. What this means is that most of the functionalities will be implemented because I need it. I can eventually add some features If I see the utility in them, but I will never change the layout radically or add unnecessary and complicated features just because. The beauty of oUF layouts is that there are plenty for all tastes and it is easy to customize if you want to dwellve into code!

- Features

  • Minimalist design
  • Standalone (oUF and several oUF plugins embedded - Experience, Reputation, Smooth...)
  • Layout works for all type of roles (damage, healing or tanking)
  • Feature complete (All frames supported, including Boss and Arena)
  • Complete support for class specific power (Combo Points, Chi, Holy Power, Insanity, etc...)
  • All frames supported, including Party, Raid (TBA), Boss and Arena frames
  • Movable frames using /lmf

- Feedback
  • If you have any question regarding the layout please leave a comment in the comment section of this addon.
  • For bug reports and feature request please use Github.

You can but you need to change several parameters. When I wrote the layout I played with several values and found this to be the best.

There is a bug on the latest oUF or something changed that it's not making the debuffs on the target desaturate the debuffs that are not from the player alone, need to see a way around that.

If you disable my party/raid frames I think grid should assume control of blizzard frames?
That's what I thought too, but it doesn't seem to be the case ><.

All I did to disable yours was to put in "false" instead of "true" in the code. Is there anywhere else I should do it?

Also, I can't seem to see my soulshards on my lock.
Soulshards not yet implemented. Next release will have them... Should be soon™.

I need to test that, thing is... I kinda expect if you put false on my frames for Blizzard ones to show up. I would expect with another addon taking over for them to disapear. Maybe you should check on the Grid forum and ask that? I doubt the problem is on my side... but can't be sure to be honest.
Grid doesnt disable the blizzard frames but if u go into the Interface settings of Blizzard under the raid frames tab is a place to show party as raid and then just disable them with the raid frame manager

I think the frames have been 98% usable throughout MoP!

I updated them at the beginning, tho for some classes it might have been a bit broken (Warlocks and Shards, etc).

But I returned to playing WoW (this last month) and plan to play WoD so some updates and fixes will be start coming this way.

Great!

I picked this brilliant layout since CTM.

So excited you decide to come back to the community.

Wondering when to fix the Warlock powerbar and add a small ui to add costom auras/buffs, then it would be perfect.

Thanks.

Warlock will be fixed next release.

I'm actively playing now so that will come.

But you know the drill, work all day, can only play at night, so updating the addon... is slower. :P

I'm playing Rogue now so it's expected for it to play way better for it.

But I reckon the only thing needing attention is Warlock. Luckily I still have my level 80 Warlock laying around so will dust him to test and implement the needed changes.

Will count on you then to report and give me feedback since I don't play Warlock and it's hard to understand what is needed and what does or doesn't work.

BTW Custom Buffs / Auras can be managed in oUF_lumen config.

An UI will never be part of this addon since it goes against the nature of it, being simple and lightweight. An UI adds so much weight to the addon in terms of codes, libraries needed and effort. :/

Cumps.

Hello there

first of all thank you for making the layout, i've been using it in cata and when i got back to wod i was relieved that it was updated so i could continue using my old ui

now some things i've noticed, when in proving grounds as a paladin healer whenever i targeted my party npcs there was some kind of a lua error (not happened in regular player groupings)
another is holy power, now before it used to be capped at a maximum of three, since then there has been an additional passive unlocked at a higher level that raises the cap to 5, now the holy power display still centers like it has a maximum of three, i know its minor but just bringing it to your attention

otherwise i've modified the raid display to feature a 25+ man style, and added a whole slew of paladin buffs/cooldowns (really easy to do so thanks for making it so simple)

great job and a thumbs up from a happy lumen user

Thanks for reporting those mate. I've been to Proving grounds as a Rogue no errors, so I guess might be due to the Paladin class.

I'll take a loot into it.

If someone has more bug please report them.

Features if they mean too much code it might be hard as I think the layout does enough on its own. Don't want any feature creep nor to spend too much time implementing more stuff. :P

But want to correct all the bugs.

So thanks in advance.

Thank you for your UI.

I find "cfg.use_Paladin_HP_numbers = false", and use the default power bar and set the position because I don not like the number, but how can I do that when my character is Rogue?
Looking foward to you help!!

Since Rogue CPs are an integral part of the Rogue and I play one I don't think I added an option to disable that. Might look into it.

@C A I N: Didn't add an option to disable that also.

These are simple so will try to add it for the next release.

@CAIN: I have pushed that change to the repository: https://github.com/greven

Download from there if you want the change faster.

You need to change the cfg.showPercent and put it to false in order not to show it.
