This little addon will gather up all of your addon minimap buttons and put them into a movable frame.

Features

Known Issues

Metamap minimap button is incompatable due to the way it is handled in the addon.

The addon does not grab button that do not have a name currently.

Currently discovered addons that are this way are:

Enchantrix (Part of Auctioneer Advanced)
onRaid

The Blizzard buttons that only show up under certain conditions, (battleground, LFG) will only display on the Frame when they are shown normally and active scanning is enabled. Otherwise they will apprear on the minimap when they are shown.

The Add feature is a little more powerful than I originally expected. So you can accidentally grab things that you didn't expect to be able to. (Other Addons) I've tried to protect the blizzard interface features and a couple other things, but let me know if you can grab something that you don't think you should be able to. If you do accidentally add something to the bag you can always remove it.

I've added a lot to the Localization, so it's another quick and dirty, horrible translation. Thanks again for the crazyness Google. So if you can do a better translation please help me out and submit it to me so I can add it to MBF. Hopefully Google didn't make them too funny or offensive.

Note:

The ability to add minimap icons to the table can be a general or partial name of the icons. The button override table add should be the exact name of the button that you want to override and collect.

SharedMedia and Cycirled support would seem to me to be kind of pointless.
There are no textures, fonts, or statusbars used in the mod and the author(s) of Cycircled would have to add support for minimap skinning which I don't think is possible (Other than directly changing the MiniMap-TrackingBorder image files manually which I do to get square minimap button).
Just wondering what you'd use sharedmedia for with this addon?

One bug I noticed is that if you change the padding and then scale it, it behaves much differently than if you scale it and then change the padding. In my case, it seems like the padding is a ratio of the current scale, rather than a constant regardless of size. The problem is that if I scale to 1.0 and then try to adjust the padding so that the buttons are close, I can never get them close enough (the minimum setting at 1.0 scale is too far apart for my tastes), but if I adjust the padding at a lower scale and then re-scale, I can get it closer to what I'm aiming for, albeit with a little guesswork and tweaking

Love the addon - just what I was looking for

bitbybit - I've noticed that as well. I'll check to see if that's because of the way it's setup or if it's some kind of blizzard issue then I'll see if I can fudge around with it to make it more consistant.

I had that same problem with the updated version. The buttons are spread out across the screen,instead of close together like it should be.
Don't know if you added all the buttons ,but MobInfo, and Linklist buttons are not grabbed, they can be moved however seperate from map frame.
Also want know if this can be Vertical single row?

If a button is not grabbed automatically, simply put your cursor over the button and type

/mbf add

This will grab the button and from that point on the button will always be grabbed.

Yes it can be set to be a single row either vertical or horizontal.

I'm not sure what you mean by spread out across the screen, maybe you can post a screenshot of what it's doing. Also check your options to make sure you don't have things set way too large or something along those lines.

I would like to report that the frame is just too big.

there is a lot of space where my buttons does not use shown up
it takes about half of my screen.

in the past, the frame only take up the space of how many minimap buttons being grabbed.
now it is a huge unused space.

changing padding or changing the column only make it either narrower but still takes the length of the entire screen.

also, it does not grab all the button automatically like before.

has to manually /mbf add many buttons back into the frame. (a very large frame though)

contrary to the past, i only need to /mbf remove buttons that I want to show outside

hmmm,

it is embarassing to post again, but ...

it looks ok now

was going to try getting the picture, then before entering the game,
it said that new version of launcher software is ready to download,
and then

it is ok now, could have sworn it was not ....

I installed the latest copy yesterday, and I have in the config screen checked the Lock option and the Hide background when locked, but everytime I log a toon in the background comes in black. I have to go in and uncheck the Hide option and then recheck it every time. It's not saving the setting.

Anyone else having this problem?

It still does the whole wide(Horizontal across screen) frame(no Pics sorry) , without changing of frames ,also changing the frame does nothing. Even When I make it smaller framed it has open space between buttons.
Explanation - 5 buttons on left side of frame , big space then all the rest of the buttons.
They don't group like before I used the new Version, kind of spread out across screen.

I too am seeing this issue, I don't believe I have it when rezoning, just after a UI reload or when logging a new toon.

First thing to do is to go into your saved vars and delete the one for MinimapButtonFrame. The other thing is because of some of the changes I made in the last version you may need to also do into your layout-cache.txt in the saved vars for your char and delete the bit that says something like

Frame: MinimapButtonFrame FrameLevel: 2 Anchor: RIGHT X: 0 Y: 220 W: 110 H: 282

Or if you don't mind moving stuff around on your interface again just delete the whole file.

Hopefully that should fix the frame being across the screen. If that or very similar text doesn't appear in the file you should be okay on that.

If you have a big space in the middle then it seems like you've picked up a frame that you weren't supposed to. And it's filling up all that room.

With the big mass on the screen type in /mbf debug and let me know what all the children are. I'm pretty sure that one of them is causing the issue.

I'll check on the background issue. I've noticed it before and it will be fixed next version.

Hello again ...


Great updates ... love the ability to change the background colors.

A few more suggestions and bugs for ya ...

Suggestions:

1- Ability to remove frame border
2- More spacing around the edge buttons and the frame. Buttons on the edges are to close to the border as compared to the buttons surrounding it. (Not a big deal though .. purely cosmetic).
3- Remember button order. After every session can you please make it so every button is in the same spot every time. Somewhat of a pain to find a button every time you need it :P Something as simple as having your mod put the button in a alpha-numeric order.
4- Turn off the title frame.


Bugs :

1- Trinity still appears to act funny sometimes. Seems to really like to hide behind your frame.
2- Monkey Buddy resizes incorrectly. Really old button but I use the Monkey Mods and use this to access the Monkey mods options once in a while.
3- When you highlight your button you get a tooltip with three options. Left click to show/hide is there when button is collected. I know this was disabled when your button is collected. Maybe the tooltip should note this or remove the tip when collected.
4- Again with the tooltip. Right Click + Drag does not work when button is collected. Same as with the hide/show maybe this should either note it is disabled when collected or removed from tooltip when button is collected.
5- In the options screen if you play with the two options Show Minimap Button and Collect MBF Button you get different results depending what the state of the button is when you check/uncheck an option. An example of this is :
Check Show Minimap Button
Check Collect MBF
Uncheck Show
Uncheck Collect
Minimap button is still visible even though Show Button is unchecked.


I know a few of the bugs are nothing that actually affects the main workings of the addon and it still functions as intended with them. I just wanted to let you know of a few of the quirks I have seen. I don't mean to be such a pain in the butt ....

Suggestions:
1- So have the border hidden but with whatever funky color you've chosen. - Easy.

2- This has been bugging me too. Just haven't gotten around to messing with it.

3- I'll toss in an auto sort by Name with the next version.

4- The title frame will disappear whenever the frame is locked.
Unless you were wanting to be able to hide it and leave the frame unlocked.

Bugs :
1- It really shouldn't do this anymore. I'll look at it again to see if I missed something.

2- I'll download it and see what it's doing. Probably another stupid button that sets it size to something but the button is really a different size. (SW Stats, Blizz Minimap Tracking, AlphaMap)

3/4- Shouldn't be to hard to change, yeah it's just cosmetic but it would be nice.

5- I probably missed a check on one or both of the functions. Should be an easy fix.


I'll try to put S 2 & 3 and B 2 & 5 together and have 1.3a uploaded sometime late tomorrow.

Edit - Okay 1.3a is up with S 2 & 3 and B 2 & 5 in it. Enjoy and keep the bugs and suggestions coming.
