Fane is a small add-on to make the chat tabs look slightly more appealing. The tabs will always be shown on ChatFrame1 (that's the one where you can have more than one tab).

There are zero configurations for this add-on.

Changes from 1.5
- The tabs will no longer fade, while the combat log quick button list still will.
- Separate chat frames now have their tabs handled correctly.

Changes from 1.4
- Make a global local. (If you fetched 1.4, then you really shouldn't bother fetching this one as well).

Changes from 1.3
- Updated to work on 3.3.5.

Changes from 1.2
- Should no longer error when trying to close chat frames.

Changes from 1.1
- Updated to work on 3.0.

Changes from 1.0
- Set TOC version to 2.4.

Post a feature request and it might happen in the future. I can't make any promise on when however.

When I do log in it is usually because I have spotted something critical in an add-on or a I strongly disagree with the author's intent or the usefulness of their add-on. Having said all that... This add-on is fantastic. Finally someone makes an add-on that isn't a data miner or a button modifier. Something that just makes the game more pleasing to look at. I wish more authors would take notice of the game's poorly laid-out ui and take action. Good work with this add-on.

However once disabled in (addons, game menu) it wont go back to user default. Tabs are erased and there for I Can Not configure back to the way it was or even move the chat box. There for im Having to mandator-lie use the Fane addon unfortunately. There is a way around this tho, by deleting the WTF folder in the WoW directory but.. i honestly dont feel like spending hours on end downloading it all back from blizzards update browser since the author decided agents adding any configurations to the addon. (which my opinion is ridiculous!) any chance on adding any configurations to the next version of this addon to help prevent this problem from occurring ?? -disappointed user

Fane does not provide any way to disable the add-on from within the game, as you said it has no configurations or toggles at all. This means that you've disabled it through other means, and most likely reloaded your ui, restarted WoW or relogged your character.

You probably have "Lock Chat Settings" enabled, and that's why it seems like Fane has "erased" your chat tabs. I do not know what you mean with all the "Blizzard Update Browser" crap you're sprouting, but it has nothing to do with me nor my decisions.

I honestly have no idea what your problem exactly is. To me this post just seems like some rant about me not having configurations for god knows what, and that it's a ridiculous decision on my end. With that being said:
Check your chat lock settings -- and come back after that.

I currently have a chat tab for whispers and it turns red when they are received as it is supposed to. However, and here is the question, should the red colour disappear on mouseover or on click? If it is mouseover is there an easy way to change it to be on click instead? If the answer is the other way around then it means I have another addon interfering and will need to try and chase it down. Edit: Clicked the submit button instead of the preview one!
