Minimap Button Frame  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.10f
by: Bachlott [More]

This little addon will gather up all of your addon minimap buttons and put them into a movable frame.

Features

- Minimap Button Skinning (Square Minimap Buttons)
- Add or Remove almost any minimap button
- Multiple Sorting Options - Including Custom!
- Collection of Blizzard Buttons
- Collect only the buttons you want
- Background Color can be changed from the config screen
- Hide most of the Blizzard Minimap Icons
- LDB Support
- Key Bindings
- Profile Support
- Basic Localization in English, Spanish, French, German, Korean, Russian, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional)

Future Features

- Full LDB version of MBF

Known Issues

Metamap minimap button is incompatable due to the way it is handled in the addon.

The addon does not grab button that do not have a name currently.

Currently discovered addons that are this way are:

Enchantrix (Part of Auctioneer Advanced)
onRaid

The Blizzard buttons that only show up under certain conditions, (battleground, LFG) will only display on the Frame when they are shown normally and active scanning is enabled. Otherwise they will apprear on the minimap when they are shown.

The Add feature is a little more powerful than I originally expected. So you can accidentally grab things that you didn't expect to be able to. (Other Addons) I've tried to protect the blizzard interface features and a couple other things, but let me know if you can grab something that you don't think you should be able to. If you do accidentally add something to the bag you can always remove it.

I've added a lot to the Localization, so it's another quick and dirty, horrible translation. Thanks again for the crazyness Google. So if you can do a better translation please help me out and submit it to me so I can add it to MBF. Hopefully Google didn't make them too funny or offensive.

Note:

The ability to add minimap icons to the table can be a general or partial name of the icons. The button override table add should be the exact name of the button that you want to override and collect.

As always your feedback is more than welcome!

*sigh* Well don't I feel like a complete retard.
I'm so used to seeing the instructions listed on the webpage for the mod it never occurred to me to look in the mod folder for a readme.
I apologize for the sheer stupidity of that and posting that error.

lol don't worry about it. I should have caught that error in the first place. I'd rather see bugs that pop up when people do things I never expected. I could probably be a bit clearer in the information I have posted on the website.

Hi,

Is there any way to persuade this addon to save settings non character specific?

It's currently saving in the character savedvariables, I'd love an option for it to save in the account savedvariables if at all possible.

Right now it's only setup to save per character, becase a lot of people I know run completely different sets of addons on each of their characters so it made more sense to do it that way.

If that's something you'd really like to see I can look into how much work it would be to include both.

I just saw this and it looks really neat.

Question/Request:

1. Is it possible to make an anchor bar with "+" and "-" for expand/minimize?

2. Is it possible to support Cycircled? (Or is that up to individual addon?)

It would be great if one could hide the circled default frames around the minimap-buttons, they're like a thorn in my eye.

The cyCircle option is up to the Author of cyCircled and only really supports bar based addons (maybe a few non-bar addons)

?

I have a Request, I would love it if you could have some minimap icons not put in the frame and stay on the minimap, I like having some of my buttons right there. Thanks!

Put your mouse cursor over any button and type "/mbf remove" press enter when the mouse is over the button you want to remove from the frame. It will return to the minimap.

"/mbf add" places it back in the frame.

i really like this addon, but there are two buttons it won't put in the frame, and that's ok, but they kinda just disappear. sometimes they come back sometimes they don't. one is recipe radar and the other is fishing buddy. i just want them to not keep disappearing if they can't fit into the frame. any ideas?

Edit: another thing that happens alot i've noticed is that i'll log in and nothing will be in the frame. i have to /reloadui to fix it. and it happens when i switch characters, more often that not, also. it's not a huge deal really, cause i know how to fix it, but just thought i'd mention it.

This happens to me too - it fixes itself within 10 seconds though.

Otherwise, this is a brilliant addon which has cleaned up my interface wonderfully!

yeah mine doens't fix itself. i can log on for the first time one day and i have mini map buttons everywhere. the only thing that fixes it is /reloadui. the other thing i mentioned though, with the two that don't go into the frame, that's all fine. i did figure out by making the map appear then go away, they appear on the map, but still not in the frame. and that's fine.

It would be nice to be able to create a single row of buttons. MBF automatically starts a new row if you have more than 10 buttons.

For version 1.8 I'll up the max value to 50. Hopefully that should be enough. If not, then I'll have to add a checkbox or something for a single row / column.

Version 1.8 should be ready by Friday.

Changes and Fixes

1. I've changed the way that I gather the buttons so hopefully that should fix some of the escaping button problems.
2. Localization set up correctly so that it can be localized into other languages.
3. Fixed an issue with the blizz buttons not reshowing when the gather blizz buttons checkbox is unchecked.
4. Fixed an issue with the minimap button moving around when it is clicked on.
5. Restored the show / hide command line options to completely hide MBF.
6. Button in options menu to reset all settings to the default.
7. Upped max buttons on a row / column to 50.
8. Another attempt at making Trinity bars button behave.

Buttons that are known to still have issues.
Metamap and Enchantrix
Also the Trinity Bars button unless my attempt to fix it succeeds.
