Recipe Radar  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 1.403
by: kernighan, ladenedge

Recipe Radar assists players in finding recipes. It knows about vendors who sell recipes in the current region or by profession. It has a number of filtering options and can even locate vendors on the world map.

Classic version available at: https://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info25229-RecipeRadarClassic.html

Tips:

  • There are two "tabs": the main "radar" tab and one that searches by profession!
  • You can bind a key to Recipe Radar through the main menu!
  • There are lots of filtering options - use the dropdowns to customize Recipe Radar!
  • Some internal maps are inaccurate at this time, it is currently a work in progress to fix these up.

Update Needed

Sounds to me like the add-on simply needs to be updated. Is this addon still being maintained?

I do have the same issue.
I'm using Altoholic and it tracks all my professions well, even better since last release, but RR often mixing it all and have hard times reading the list until I click to every recipe in book.

My problem is, that RR after some time mixes up the professions between my chars. On my server I've 9 Chars with different professions. E.g. my mage has tailioring and skinning. Now RR shows recipes as the mage would have enchanting and mining.....
I've deleted the *.lua in every directory and then it works for some time, but then it mixes up again after a time...

Can anybody help?

PS: It seems as if TazRulez has the same issues...

Extra vendor listed

Hi, first off love this addon, saves me a lot time. Thanks for the time you put into this. Just wanted to mentioned that when i was in Dalaran looking up the vendors to get new recipes. I saw that you had Arille Azuregaze listed as selling cooking recipes. I went to buy one from that vendor but found out the npc doesn't sell any recipes at all. I also noticed that the npc Braeg Stoutbeard that sells leather working recipes didn't have a location on the map. I found him at 37.3, 28.7. Also Vannesa Sellers that sells enchanting is found at 38.4, 40.9. Hope this info is helpful to you.

By default it shows all professions... you have to play around with one of the menus where you can select and deselect the skills it shows stuff for.

Best I can tell it is working ok for me but some of the info isnt quite correct... Like Nakodu in lower city. Recips on RR are labeled as friendly but need honored to buy. It seems to have the level requirements right like it shows some stuff as 450 of 360 which the first number represents my skill whiule the second representing what it needs to be learned. Hope all this made sense.

Also, how can you set it to map ALL vendors by default... so like lets say I'm flying or running by something I would have to stop and check to see if nething close is avail where as if it mapped them automatically I would just nbeed towatch my minimap as I walk or fly by for available vendors.

Edit: The markers that I set manually seem to follow me upon re-zone... like Ontuvo in shat. I went to the Isle of Quel'Danas with Ontuvo "mapped" in shat and when I zoned back into shat the mark seems to stay with me. So when I went into the mod and unmapped it and then remapped it it didnt seem to place ontuvos marker in its correct spot.

Edit 2: Also, some locs seem to be off but thats probably just due to the different cordinate systems people use.

Other that the pointed out / questioned things this is a great mod. I'll post anything else I come accross but I hope you can touch base on what I've mentioned thus far.

Edit 3: Theres a bartendeer in dalaran who you have marked as selling recipes for cooks which he does not. The recipes he's listed as selling are the ones the guy selkls near the daily cooking quest.

Also, you forgot to include the wyrmrest quartermaster who has some patterns and designs.

Edit 4: Certain vendors arent being removed from the mod once all recipes have been learned. Like Banalash in Stonard has a design I already know and is showing that as the only available design for me. But since I know it he shouldnt be showing on the mod any more, what gives ? Also, his names is showing up as red in the mod if that means anything.

Recipe Radar Culprit for annoying error

ASSERT FAILED: Vanessa Sellers has no coordinates.

Upon login at Dalaran or hearthing back to it the above assert is printed in yellow 4-16 times. For an hour or so I played with disabling/reenabling addons until I got to Recipe Radar. Disabled it, poof no more error. Can this be looked into please?

Hi, great addon this is. I already found a bunch of recipes on vendors I passed by every day

But I noticed a small issue on one of my characters I get enchanting recipes, but her professions are skinning, herbalism, first aid and fishing. The options are set to only show recepies relevant for this character.

I noticed it when walking around in Borean Tundra.

I was not sure if I should post it here or on the SourceForge forums, lemme know it is better to post there.

False Indicators

RR showing Enchanting Suppliers with "available" supplies that are not really there; such as enchant chest. No matter where I go, the vendors show that they have the item, but when I go to buy it, they do not have it.
