LootRollMover  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: v5.6, Classic: v5.6
by: Xruptor [More]

A simple mod that allows you to move the default Blizzard Loot Roll Frames. (That is the box that popups when you loot something that has a green or greater quality.) What this mod does, is provide you with an anchor frame that you can move around. Once you move the anchor frame, simply right click it and your loot roll frames (GroupLoot) will now display at the anchor position.

If your looking for an addon to move the Achievement/Dungeon/Guild Challenge Alert frames then take a look at xanAchievementMover.

I got tired of having the loot roll frames go over some of my actionbars and certain windows. So I made this addon to enable it to be moved.

How to Use:
Type /lrm for the menu

/lrm anchor - Show the moveable anchor frame
/lrm reset - reset the anchor frame to the default center of the screen.
/lrm scale # - Set the scale of the Loot Frames (Default 1)

For the scale you may want to use decimals (ex. 1.4, 1.3, 1.8, etc..)

Anchor Position is saved globally for all toons on your account.

You can view Alpha Builds at my Github tracker.

Thanks for the addon, 1 problem.

Hey, thanks for the addon it's quite handy when people loot in combat to have the frame in a different place.
I can't get the frame to save its position however, every time I relog and do /lrm show the frame goes back to its default position.

Hmm I will have to look into that. Are you sure you are right clicking to save the position of the window?

Try this:

/lrm reset
/lrm show

right click window when you moved it

/console reloadui

then type

/lrm show

and see if it's in the position you moved it to. Please reply when you tried the steps above.

?? hehe I'm not sure I follow this response. It was edited so I believe there was an issue that was resolved? Did my mod conflict with another mod?

Will this mod also allow me to move the regular loot window and lock it's position?

Thanks,

Yep that's exactly what it does. It allows you to reposition the loot window. Once you move it, the location is locked.

You mean decrease/increase the size of the loot window based on user defined settings? It should be possible to add scaling to the anchor window to do that. Let me know if that's what your talking about.

I love this addon. My lootwindow were covering my actionbars too so i was so happy when i found this addon.

It would be great to have an option to increase/decrease the window if possible, like i little dragable arrow-ish thing in some of the corners. I think you understand what i mean

Thanks again for this wondeful addon.

I just uploaded version 1.7 that has a scaling feature. You can now set the scale by using the following command.

/lrm scale #

Note you may want to use decimals as numbers like 2,3,4,5 will make it really large.

Try 1.1, 1.4, 0.4, 0.8, 1.6 etc....

Hey Derkyle,

Love this, just what I was looking for However I have a small problem regarding the scale. I can set it just fine in the mod and the anchor will change size as I change the scale but the loot window itself doesn't appear any larger.

Did I miss something?

Version 1.8:
-Updated the scaling function to scale the group windows. Apparently only the anchor was being scaled and the group windows weren't.

Hey,

When there are multiple items being rolled for, is there a way to make them expand downwards from the anchor point instead of up? If not is it possible to add that functionality? Otherwise great addon, exactly what I was looking for!

Thanks

I'm not entirely sure this will work, BUT you can try editing the lua file.

Replace:
Code:
frame:SetPoint("BOTTOM", "GroupLootFrame" .. (i-1), "TOP", 0, 3)
With:
Code:
frame:SetPoint("TOP", "GroupLootFrame" .. (i-1), "BOTTOM", 0, -3)
Again, I really haven't tried this myself. Please let me know if it worked for you.
