TomTom is your personal navigation assistant in World of Warcraft. This addon is very simple, but provides a nice set of functionality. Thanks to Esamynn for Astrolabe, which does the bulk of the work in this addon.
TomTom offers the following major features:
/way 14.78 23.90
/way Nagrand 45 50
/way 14.78 23.90 This is a waypoint!
/way reset all
/way reset Nagrand
/wayb Here
/wayback
/cway
/closestway

Dude, you need to calm down, seriously. I started responding moments after you clicked post and you've already posted three responses that are exaggerating the problem and being overly dramatic?
Please.. In short, disable automatic quest waypoint tracking, or file a feature request for different behaviour. It wouldn't be terribly difficult for me to write an option that makes quest waypoints 'passive' so they only change the crazy arrow if the crazy arrow is already pointing to the previously set quest waypoint. EDIT: Also, forgive me for taking a whopping 15 minutes to respond to your request. It's not like I needed to open WoW and actually verify your barely given bug report. I guess that's what I get for trying to be thorough and attentive.

Speaking of automatic quest waypoints, could you implement an option (or permanent feature) so that this doesn't overwrite the waypoint arrow when you manually set a waypoint? Simple example, you have at least one quest in the tracker, and then you set a waypoint for a HN note or just anywhere on the map - sometimes this arrow persists for a while, but then is written over by the quest one.

That's exactly what we're talking about actually, and yes, I will consider adding such an option.

Here's a screenshot from Redridge Mountains: http://tinypic.com/r/qxqoac/7 I had that error so I logged out at that location, disabled all addons except TomTom, logged back in, and then immediately ctrl-right clicked on the ? for "Parker's Report" then took the screenshot. Oh, here's my TomTom.lua if it helps: Code:
TomTomDB = { ["profileKeys"] = { ["Neit - Stormrage"] = "Default", ["Ogo - Stormrage"] = "Default", ["Neiter - Stormrage"] = "Default", ["Neitman - Stormrage"] = "Default", ["Neito - Stormrage"] = "Default", ["Prowler - Stormrage"] = "Default", ["Kneit - Stormrage"] = "Default", }, ["profiles"] = { ["Default"] = { ["poi"] = { ["arrival"] = 10, }, ["general"] = { ["confirmremoveall"] = false, }, ["arrow"] = { ["arrival"] = 125, ["enablePing"] = true, }, ["persistence"] = { ["cleardistance"] = 5, }, ["mapcoords"] = { ["playerenable"] = false, ["cursorenable"] = false, }, ["block"] = { ["enable"] = false, }, }, }, } TomTomWaypoints = { ["profileKeys"] = { ["Neit - Stormrage"] = "Neit - Stormrage", ["Ogo - Stormrage"] = "Ogo - Stormrage", ["Neiter - Stormrage"] = "Neiter - Stormrage", ["Neitman - Stormrage"] = "Neitman - Stormrage", ["Neito - Stormrage"] = "Neito - Stormrage", ["Prowler - Stormrage"] = "Prowler - Stormrage", ["Kneit - Stormrage"] = "Kneit - Stormrage", }, ["profiles"] = { ["Neit - Stormrage"] = { }, ["Ogo - Stormrage"] = { }, ["Neiter - Stormrage"] = { }, ["Neitman - Stormrage"] = { }, ["Neito - Stormrage"] = { }, ["Prowler - Stormrage"] = { }, ["Kneit - Stormrage"] = { }, }, } TomTomWaypointsMF = { ["profileKeys"] = { ["Neito - Stormrage"] = "Neito - Stormrage", ["Ogo - Stormrage"] = "Ogo - Stormrage", }, ["profiles"] = { ["Neito - Stormrage"] = { }, ["Ogo - Stormrage"] = { }, }, }

Also is it possible to see the version number somewhere in the interface?
Maybe add that info into /tway? |

I just got back into WoW after 6 months of not playing, and the first things addon-wise I downloaded was Mapster, Questguru, Lightheaded and TomTom. For years I was able to just click a link in Lightheaded, and the TomTom arrow came up showing me the way. Now, nothing happens at all when I click the coordinates in Lightheaded.
Only way to get TomTom to work, so far, is to open the world map, and have the quest numbers showing on it, and there, ctrl-rightclick the quest number (on the map itself, not on the list on the right side of the map). Making my own waypoints also work, but lightheaded is a nono no matter what. Any ideas of what might cause this? |

Nope, I'll look into it. What *specifically* are you clicking on in LightHeaded?

Clicking coordinates works for me, could you be more specific about what you're clicking?

I was doing some quests in the Worgen starting zone, and one had a set of coordinates in the Lightheaded pages about it, just like most quests do, and I clicked the coordinates (theya re blue in color indicating a link), and nothing happened. Tried with 2 different quests. I'll see if I can try with a few more quests today and then get back to you if the problem persist. I have used this combo of Questguru, Lightheaded and TomTom for years and it always worked perfectly. It's the best way to quest IMO.
P.S. Also, do you know if there is a way to turn of WoW's own little arrow to a quest in the minimap so I can use only the ones from TomTom. Is a little much to have 2 arrows in that small arrow for the same thing.
