Retradin - Chaos Bane Remover

Version: 1.0
by: Ipood [More]

Removes Chaosbane Buff so that you can max out your dps without having to resort to macros.

You can use this addon to add other spell and they will be autoremoved.

Edit: From further digging I have noticed that this is NOT a dps increase for Warriors and Death Knights.

So this is now a Retribution Paladin only addon

So what the math is saying is that, for a Ret Pally anyway, getting the 2500 damage proc do go off as often as possible (every 5 seconds as opposed to every 15 seconds) is higher dps than dpsing with the Chaos Bane strength buff for 10 seconds and having the proc go off once.

I don't know what other classes this holds true for - need to do the math. I suspect fury warriors, with a 20% strength buff might come out ahead without canceling the aura.
Something like that, but the aoe goes off right away when you procc chaos bane, but when you have the buff you wont be able to collect "souls"
But by removing the 10sec buff you will be able to collect souls faster and as you say get a aoe evry 5.1sec instead of 15.1 sec.

Imo go check the EJ forums for more info on Warrior and Death Knights but from what i have gathered there isnt a DPS increase for them, but I haven't really checked em out to good as im a Retri Paladin :P

That just create more questions.
Cant you stack the buff that gives strength for 10 secs after the proc or something? You need to explain why it needs to be canceled in words and not numbers.

I think the best way to explain it is this.

The intended method:
155 for 5.1 seconds and 270 for 10 seconds = Average Str 231
My current gear shows about 2.1 DPS per Str, so 231 * 2.1 = 485 DPS
Proc average 2500 damage every 15.1 seconds = 165.5 DPS.
Total: 650 DPS

or the cancelaura method:
Average 155 Str * 2.1 = 325 DPS
Proc for 2500 ever 5.1 seconds = 490 DPS
Total = 815 DPS

This is only retribution paladin i noticed just now, thought it was good for warriors / dks also

Can you enlighten me in why you would remove a buff?

Perhaps I'm confused, but why would you want to remove this buff?
