Satrina Buff Frames 3  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 3.1.25
by: Satrina, father0fnine

SBF has a maintainer!
I have to say, I am amazed by the number of people who just kept plugging along. It makes me feel bad that I do not have the time to keep working on this myself - you guys are all awesome! The good news is that a new maintainer has been found. Meet father0fnine, who is taking over SBF. I'm sure you'll all show him as much love as you showed me all these years

SBF 3.2 with clickable buffs
Go here: http://www.wowinterface.com/download...o.php?id=12524

+ SBFOptions will now make the background for names visible when configuring to help you not overlap the icons when positioning (which can cause clicks on icons to not register)

Version 3.1.23
+ Fix an error when tracking is enabled

Version 3.1.22

+ You should now be able to click off player buffs
+ Fixed problems with the colour picker
+ You can now remove/edit filters

* When changing SBF profiles, the list of frames shown in ButtonFacade setup will update correctly

* You can now reset the profile for the current character by using /sbf reset

Version 3.1.5
* TOC version has been updated for WoW 3.1
* SBF will no longer allow you to try and flow buffs for different units. (There's no way to make that work without a major code revamp)
* Buff and Name help in non-English localisations has been updated with the current English version. Translators will need to re-translate them
* ha filters should behave a little bit better now
* Vehicle buff frames will update and clear when you exit a vehicle
* Hopefully (hopefully!) the overextending bar thing is gone finally.

* Added vehicle to the list of units for buff frames on the general tab

Version 3.1.0

Hey Satrina... was just playing around with settings and wondering if there's a way to setup the bars to allow tracking changes like the minimap button does currently. Elk Buffbars will do it but I really like the customization options of this better. Sorry if I've overlooked something obvious and hope you're having a good day.

1 - That's a bug if it isn't flashing buffs that way, will fix

2 - Nope. SBF has no interaction at all with the default bars, and like most other buff addons completely disables and replaces them. You only need to set it up once...

3 - Version 2.9 will be dedicated to display-type stuff like this. I'll add that to the list.

Hi, I'd like to request a few small features, but as I am new to your mod, I want to apologize if you already got these things requested a thousand times or they already are implemented into your addon and I just overlooked them. I also want to apologize for any bad English, as I im not natively speaking this language.

- I set the expiry warning to warn at 30 seconds, minimum duration to "all buffs" and activated icon-flashing, because I want the look and feel of my addons to be as close as possible to the original Blizzard ui. When my druid now casts rejuvenation on himself, which lasts for 12 seconds, the icon does not start to flash. When I set the "warn at" setting to 5 seconds, the icon of rejuvenation begins to flash when there are only 5 seconds left. Could you maybe add a check if the warning should be triggered right after the buff is cast and the icon appears in the bar?

- Could you please add an option not to hide the original Blizzard buff bar? I'm using your addon to keep the buff and debuff bars close to my character so I don't have to always keep an eye to the top right corner of the screen, but I set this bar to show no tooltip and disabled the right click in it so I don't accidently dismiss my buffs, so I would like to keep the original bar for these things. I know that you can set up bars that mirror other bars, but it seems to me that those bars always contain all buffs AND debuffs, which is not what I want, and it also is additional work to set them up, so it would be nice to be able to just keep the original. Also, it would be awesome if I could click-through your bars, but I think I already saw that feature on your to do list.

- Would it be possible to add a new type of timer format that is a mix of the mm:ss and the Blizzard style format, like displaying all buffs with a duration of more than one minute left like "15:24" and the ones with less than a minute left like "36 s"? It would also be nice if you could disable leading zeros in timer displays below ten minutes, like "9:20" instead of "09:20".

Alrighty, it's been looking pretty good. I'll put my current up as beta 13 tomorrow after a bit more testing, and that may well be it for release!

Hey Satrina... all I'm doing is filtering weapon enchants to bar 4 and testing with a fishing pole and bauble. I switch back to a 2 hander then back to the fishing pole and voila... no more enchant icon. I again went back to Buffalo to confirm and Buffalo still works so still doesn't seem like something on my end. Maybe it's a mod that SBF doesn't like or something. My current mods are as follows (I'm a stickler for keeping them updated):

Bagnon
Bartender 3
Bigwigs
Buffalo
Bugsack
Cartographer
Clearfonts2 w/Fontpack
Closetgnome
Cooldown Count
Cycircled
DrDamage
EEPanels 2
Fishing Ace
Fubar (BagFu, MicromenuFu OmenFu ProfessionsFu, TinyPadFu, and VolumeFu )
Grid
Itempricetooltip
Lightheaded
Mik’s Scrolling Battle Text
Mobhealth
MrPlow
nQuestLog
Ora2
Pitbull
Postal
Prat
Quartz
Shared Media2
Skinner
SorrenTimers
Rico Minimap
Tinypad
TipTac
Violation
Witchhunt

Edit to this note: I tried this again with the latest update and it still doesn't show the weapon buff after switching weapons around. Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

Beta 12 is up!

* Should fix the cyCircled issues you pointed out. I also added a by-frame checkbox for enabling cyCircled, since it doesn't have any sort of means to refresh its menu lists other than reloading the UI.

* Did a lot of work on LibColourFrame. It now defers to EnhancedColourPicker if it is present (and supports opacity, though SBF uses its own slider for that still). The current copied colour from Rock config will show up in the Paste dropdown, too.

* A few other miscellaneous tweaks in item enchants, and a bit more CPU profiling.

Very close to release now, I think. Then I can start on 2.9 (after a bit of work on CombatMonitor 2 =) I know a bunch of you are waiting for the visual customisation stuff I have planned for 2.9, so I won't dawdle on it!

That sort of thing is on the list for 2.9, yep. You'll be able to format the names and move em around wherever you want.

I'm not entirely sure how much extra coding this would require, but I thought it couldn't hurt to ask. Although purely aesthetics, one of the things I liked a lot about Buffalo2 (another buff mod similar to this one) is that the name of the buffs were abbreviated above the icon. i.e. Prayer of Fortitude would become PoF, Gift of the Wild GotW.

I liked it because it was a condensed way to show the names of the buffs without having a bar with the full name. I took a Screenshot to show what I mean.

Example Here

The author of Buffalo2 has ceased development, and honestly there are many features I like about your mod instead. If there isn't an easy way to include this in your mod does any one have any suggestions on how I would go about putting something like this in myself?

Buffalo2 Download here for reference.

Thanks for your help and work on this addon

*edit* I'm a rogue, just in case that wasn't immediately obvious, so MH & OH on the buff list are my poisons. I believe you were handling it similarly in your mod.
