Boda UI - Discontinued.  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 4.2
by: Bodasafa [More]

Great news everyone! I plan on returning to the game in WoD and releasing this UI publicly again! Stay tuned!

Announcements
• Version 4.2 is now Live! Changes include a master font for the entire game to complete the look and a few minor tweaks. Also a new DBM skin for the bars. To download that by itself check out my Boda UI - DBM Skin.

• The resolution for this UI is 1920x1080 and will only be released for that resolution. If you wish to use this UI for a different resolution you will have to unlock and move the addons yourself. The time it takes to do this depends on your working knowledge of addons in general. Though with the new centered layout, most anyone should have to move is the stuff in the top right corner. I also recommend reading the "Different Resolutions" section of my Guide linked in the "Help and Support" section below.

• This UI is specifically designed for a Warrior Tank in Raiding situations. However many users of different Classes and Specs have been able to modify it so suit their needs. Since moving to Raven (which controls all buffs and debuffs) it should automatically show your specific debuffs on your target and your specific active cooldowns. You should only need to Blacklist the things you do not want shown.

• I do not use a player portrait. Icehud displays my health and rage so a duplicate of that is wasted screen space. You should keybind “Target Self” to a key. When you press this key you will see “You” in the Target frame. You then right click this frame to get all the options you would via a normal player portrait.

Installation
• Backup and then delete your WTF and Interface Folders.
• Download the UI and put the new WTF and Interface Folders in.
• Rename the appropriate folders with YOUR information.
• Your Account Name
• Your Server Name
• Your Character Name
• For a more detailed explanation on how to install a User Interface refer to my guide linked in the “Help and Support” section below.

In Game Set Up
• Login and stop at the character selection screen.
• Click the Addons button in the lower left corner and enable all addons.
• Once inside the game type the following slash commands and select the BodaUI profile for each.
/buttonfacade
/bt
/chatter
/chinchilla
/icehud
/kgpanels config
/msbt
/mbf
/omen
/pitbull
/raven
/recount
/sldatatext
/suf
/tidyplates (and expand the threat plates selection)
• Once all profiles are set reload your UI. Some addons will not appear set such as Chinchilla until you do this.
• Log out to save the profiles.
• Check for updates to all addons. Once all addons have been updated, log in, change your keybindings/macros and your done!
• Every time you update DBM you need to re-skin, its very easy. For instructions check out Boda UI - DBM Skin.

Special Thanks Goes Out To

The presentation of your UI is astonding...

I've read your notes, and before I install I was wondering if you foresaw any major issues if my resolution is 1920x1200.

There should be no issues, I believe your resolution is just slightly taller (or wider forget which is which). If its taller than there should be no issue at all. If its wider than you may need to do slight adjustments to the placement of the addons in the boxes.

I loaded this UI on a 1920x1200 resolution screen and even though this resolution is taller than 1920x1080 for some reason the kgpanels seem to stretch out wider than the 1920 width. You could probably just use scaling to adjust the size of the kgpanels and then move and scale the addons to fit. I ended up just resizing some the kgpanels and moving and adding some things to fit my needs. Here is what I came up with.

And playing with all the addons and this UI has inspired me to try to build and package a UI of my own in the future.

This is a great UI, Thanks Bodasafa.

Sorry if there has already been a question about this particular problem.

After having followed the directions for installing this addon and logging into the game, the addons do not give me your preexisting profile. Bodasafa - Eldre'thalas is not an option in any of the addons.

Edit: nm fixed. Battle.net account didn't work so had to use the old Username

where are your profiles?

after installing Boda UI, I looked for the "Bodasafa - Eldre'thalas" profile for all those mods and couldn't find it. as a result, everything in my interface is piled up in the lower-mid portion of the screen. can you help? thanks.

re: where are your profiles

once I named the account (wow account...not battle.net), realm name, and player name within the WTF file, then bodasafas profiles magically appeared in most of the addons. apparently, one needs to rename these things before logging in to the game. try that.

multiple accounts with multiple players

I play 4 characters on two accounts. do I need additional WTF folders for each one? Or can I add second account in original WTF folder and additional character's in same realm folder? Thanks.

Re: re: where are your profiles

Ill address all these comments in one reply.

It's not "apparently". These steps are laid out in my install instructions pretty clearly and I have a break down of how to do them in the guide I wrote, which is linked in the "Help and Support" section on my download page.

However I will go over them again.

If you do not see my profiles you:

A) Do not have the WTF folder in the right place.
B) You have not renamed the appropriate folders with YOUR information.
C) You have a spelling error in the renamed folders. They must be spelled 100% correctly.
D) You need to use your old Account Name (All Caps) if you have one.
E) If you do not have an old Account Name, then you need to use your battle.net e-mail name , spelled correctly.

I believe you should be fine per account. However I am not 100% on that so you may need to repeat the process 4 times.

Take directly from my download page right at the top:

• My intentions were to create a universal UI, unfortunately my needs require it to be designed for a Warrior Tank, therefore it will work best in that class/role “out of the box”. However many users have reported that with average AddOn configuration skills my UI is easily changed to fit the needs of a different class/role. The main change is how SBF is set up. Follow the link for SBF in the Addons section below to learn how.

Cast bars/cooldown timer

Was just wondering if it'd be possible to somehow get fortexorcist into this add-on, a cooldown timer would be awesome, as well as some spell timers (For a warrior, it'd be rend, TC, DM and Sunder mainly) cause I play a hunter and would love to be able to track my abilities - I read the add-ons and didn't see any cooldown bars really, or spell timers - If there'd be a way to add one in, lemme know please? Or if there are and I just didn't see it.
