famBags is a player bags and bank override add-on. It's heavily influenced by Baggins and its main goal is that you have complete control over the organization and look & feel of your inventory, all this supported by a vast set of configuration options and features including:

Supports SharedMedia and Masque
Multi-stack mode feature
Bags organization: [All in one bag], [Normal bags], [Custom categories]
Items ordering
Max. buttons per row
Ignorable keyring contents
Sections layout
Items layout
Quality look & feel
Indicators for key slots and multiple stacks
Indicators for new item and item stock incremented
Items stock text layout
Bags and bank windows look & feel

What? You don't want all this pain in your life? Don't worry... there are presets!!

Presets now include 'Della Casa'. This is the one shown as portrait in WoWAce/Curse. You'll need SharedMedia, pHish Media and Masque_Darion to see it shinning but its not mandatory.

Commands for options: /fam, /fambags

You can open famBags bags by assigning a keybind to "Open all bags" or "famBags/Open bags". Also left click on LDB display will do the trick.

This add-on is my personal contribution to this great community, I hope you enjoy it.

You can now post comments here. For bug reports, enhancements and so on, please use the tickets system.

Notes for translators:

Phrases in namespace InGame_Translations must be done exactly as it appears in your game client, including Capitalization. The item types and subtypes you can find it in the search tree of your Action House.

This is intended behavior. famBags try to compact sections as much as possible on the window's space. As a result, sometimes sections override its order to fulfill this behavior. You can change this by disabling "Compact Layout" in the addon's options.

What more are you supposed to do besides set up a category choose outfitter criteria and have A= name of particular outfit? I disabled the compacting function. Is there something you have to do to tell it to apply a category to your profile? Maybe I'm just too used to Arkinventory, but for all that everything seems easy to figure out, nothing is working so clearly I'm missing something. Is there a way to "force" items into a category? (for example, if I want to group fishing lures with fishing hat and fishing pole?) Is there a tutorial somewhere so I don't have to bug you with questions? Thanks. For matching items by names there are a criterion called "Name". Also, you can Ctrl + RightClick on the item to force it into a Category. I don't recommend this though. If not used wisely can affect performance. There's always a rule that can match an item.

What you can't change is the images used in the main design of the entire addon (On the top part of it, where the buttons are, as well as changing the skin on the buttons). That smooth effect on everything as far as I can tell can not be skinned. I'm wanting to make famBags look more Blizzard like, with some Blizzard Textures, using !Beatycase as well to help with that. I also would like to make other themes and skins overall that will go with UI's that aren't Blizzard like at all. famBags is the coolest bag addon I ever saw, but I just don't think it can be as heavily customized as I'd like it to be.

I would also like to create attachment themes for it (attachment meaning, when you open the bank, have the regular bags attach themselves like an anchor to the bank frame, and look like it's anchored, maybe with chains or something and other ideas along those lines for various themes on various different UI's across the board). These ideas may be complicated and create lots of work for some, but if made in a user friendly way, could make this bag addon the most recommended bag addon for World of Warcraft EVER in the history of addons for World of Warcraft, I'm talking huge and maybe incorporating options from other bag addons too, that way everything anyone would ever want, would be in 1 place.

You have 2 sets of options for famBags: Categories options and the addon's general options. In the general options you can change the appearance of the bags windows. Take a look at Options -> famBags -> Main bags for example.

Options -> famBags -> Blizzard bank: If you uncheck "Override Blizzard Bank" you will have it shown along with your famBags bank window.

I've been using this for about 3 weeks but after 5.1 I'm getting an error when I try to optimize stacks. Maybe I can try resetting configuration, however I heavily customized it so I hesitate about it. Any help or tips for this? And again, thanks for the great addon! I think the bug relates to the green and purple modifiers in equipment tags. Any of the following modifiers will break the rules of sorting equipment: Heroic Season # Looking for Raid Transmogrified If an item has one or more of these tags it will not be sorted properly. there are basically 3 acceptable options for me:

1) baggins, which is extremely ugly and clunky and a nightmare to set up
2) adibags, which looks amazing but does not have the ctrl-click categorizing feature
3) fambags, which in its current state, you have to mouseover every item to remove the false blue glow.

for the last month i've been bouncing around all 3 of these options

another issue i get occasional with fambags is that nothing is sorted when i initially log on, and i have to reload to regain my categories.

anyways, if anyone has any tips, fixes, or options to consider, please share. i will make a post on the forums too to try to drum up some attention.
