Threat Plates (TP for short) is a addon for customizing your nameplates. It offers a high amount of customization and tweaks to how your nameplates react and look. It also offers some unique features that are not available with any other nameplate addon. I've spent a considerable amount of time improving this addon and any comments or concerns about this addon are appreciated. I'm always looking for ways to improve this addon.

Features:

SharedMedia support and many, many, options for name, health, level, and spell text. As well as all of the standard nameplate features such as castbar and icon, elite icons / textures, skull icons / textures, raid marks, and healthbar coloring/alpha/scale.
Ace3 profiling.
Low memory footprint.
Threat system management.
Automatic talent detection and role assigning for an easy out of the box setup.
Customizable widgets.
Customizable totem nameplates.
Customizable nameplates for extra customization for specifically named units.

Commands:

/tptp - Displays options.
/tptptoggle - Toggle Role from one to the other.
/tptpdps - Toggles DPS/Healing threat plates.
/tptptank - Toggles Tank threat plates.
/tptpol - Toggles nameplate overlapping.
/tptpverbose - Toggles addon feedback text.

Additional Information:

A considerable amount of information about options and its internal priorities are not gone into details. Most options that are enable or disable based will toggle off options that are no longer changeable once enabled or disabled. Fixed a bug with Boss Mods widget that occurred because a deprecated value for vertical alignment of text was used [Comment #7295].
Fixed a bug with off-tank detection in Cata Classic that occurred because the wrong API for raid roles was used.
Updated TOC version for Patch 10.2.7 for WoW Mainline.
Upgrade integrated libraries (Ace3 Release-r1341).

Sadly the boss encounter nameplates don't seem to be working in the german client. I suppose that I would have to change the translation of the mobs name somewhere (e.g. "Drudge Ghoul" would become "Ghulsklave") but as my Lua - Fu is not the strongest I can't seem to find the right place. Any directions would be a blast! Cheers! skaggi P.S.: I would offer German translations in return if that would be of interest

Set the "alpha" or transparency of the colors under "Namplate Options".

This should set them invisible.

When I approach the mob it's just TP showing up, then Blizz plate appears, right on top. As a result I get 2 mob names one under another, it looks like a mess. Is there any way to fix that? I been asking for this for nearly all year now Each time a new mod comes out I have to edit the same files every time and add this line to each glowtexture = path.."Empty", Also was wondering if you plan to make your borders work with setbackdrop? I have no idea how to write those type of borders. But it would allow you to have width and height which would make the addon all that much better.

tanking with underground nameplates yesterday with threat plates was aweful. this person has managed a fix for that.

If you're worried the mod will take up cpu cycles it won't all it does is set bloattest to 1 and thats it. Most likely blizzard will have this fixed soon. So just use the mod for now
