Auto-Adjust Issues

Put bars on bottom ~ Funky with my button bars. Sometimes covers up the button bars when I stealth/unstealth. Makes the right side bars jump all the time.

Put bars on top ~ Makes the minimap funky. Usually covers the minimap.

Considering installing CT's Viewport mod, but I don't want to alter my resolution size. Any ideas on this?

Is there an option to delay showing the fubar panels when they are hidden automatically? It would be nice to be able to put up a few UI elements where the Fubars would show, but as it is now, I cant put anything behind them because the bars show up instantly. Or maybe not even a delay, maybe just not making them show up until you reach the very top or bottom of the screen for them to show. If you have a stack of 3 bars and hide them, theres a large gap at the top or bottom that cant really be used for anything.

Having some trouble with FuBar profiles. I can save my profile as a new name but I cannot see it with other characters. I'd like to set up my profile in one character and copy it to others but if I can't see it to copy it, I can't copy it. What am I missing??

Fubar Files

If you're looking to try Fubar for the first time or a new update you may find those files at WowAce.com. It's where the developers post the latest versions. This site seems sort of abandoned for now.

WowAce: http://files.wowace.com/

Hope this helps.

Because 2.0 isn't supported anymore.

There is now FuBar 3.0 at files.wowace.com

How come some of the fubar addons that have been updated for 2.3 show fubar missing as a dependency and won't work with fubar 2.0?

I just started back playing after taking a few months off and was trying to update everything. Since I'm a mac user there may not be a way for me to run "install.bat" so I have been trying to get it to work manually from the instructions in your README. The problem I am running into is that I cannot create a folder with a name beginning with a period for the ".svn" folder. Therefore everything gets overwritten with Rock versions. Is there something else I can do, or a way to run the "install.bat" on a mac?

What did it place in my config.wtf that messed up all other addons..

Ok, i finally deleted my [Config.wtf] File in the WTF folder, and replaced with one i had from bef i installed FuBar. and the error messages are gone. Atlas Loot is still poof gone thou.. Have taken a copy to go throu the files to find out what exactly it had changed in there, wich messed up near every addon i had for me.. Could hardly do anything without having to clear away error messages..

Anyone know allready maybe?

so, while testing WowAceUpdater, i decide to try out FuBar.
now i havent had error messages on anything in ages.
But as soon as i installed FuBar i got error messages when cursoring over party members health plates, target and tot and tot's target.
Now i use Perl Classic and Tinytip, two amazingly great addons wich i have had no trouble with, before now.
Even after uinstalling FuBar, i keep getting the error message as follows:

Interface\FrameXML\GameTooltip.lua:74:
Usage: GameTooltip:SetOwner(frame)

Theres that, and it killed my atlas loot...

And if i leftclick (lock unlock ui) my nurfed ui button on map, i get a message saying:

Interface\AddOns\Nurfed\Libs\Core.lua:
543: bad argument#1 to 'inpairs' (table
expected, got nil)

Now i've reinstalled, updated n all that shit since to make stuff work again..
Guess it's time to go check what dirt FuBar left in my WTF folder....

Anyways, thought ppl thinking bout installing it, may like to know some of the risk if u have other addons allready. Wish i had never tried this one.

And btw, i also had the bar not reach all the way over the screen.

FuBar hates me?

Sorry if this has been adressed a hundred times already, but I'm trying to get into using FuBar, switching from TitanPanel. I love a lot of the flexibility in it, and all that jazz, but the mod seems to hate me. A lot.

Every time I log in, both of my bars are completely empty (save the ones for party loot status). And by empty, I mean everything is disabled. When I try and turn stuff on, it doesn't show up, until I find what I've dubbed the 'button-of-the-day', which is usally a random click somewhere that will make everything show up (albiet, not in the order I put it in.)

Am I missing something here, or does the mod just hate me. I've dropped it from my default addons, to cut down on load time until I fix it for now.

The only reason you are seeing it right now is because you are using WowAceUpdater or downloading it directly from files.wowace.com which are all beta versions of addons, not releases. If you can't handle beta testing, then stop beta testing. The way an addon is configured doesn't change if the addon itself is useful or not. The framework an addon uses doesn't change if the addon itself is useful or not either. You may not like the rock config menu but not everyone shares your opinion. Rock is a decendent of Ace and it is a part of the Ace community so you're going to have to just deal with that or move on. Eventually the new version of FuBar will be finished and stable and released to websites like this one for general consumption.
I'm willing to give Rock the benefit of doubt. However, given the tone of this post, I have a few questions...

1) While Rock is a framework and is a descendent of Ace, what specifically necessitated this move? What benefits will Rock provide that previously were not seen in our good old-fashioned Fubar as it was?

2) Given the popularity of Fubar (on this website alone) and its active development, why was/is there not a "release" quality download available similar to Titan Panel being updated and released on the very day of the latest WoW patch?

3) As everything in the land of add-ons appears to be very dynamic in nature, what exactly are the differences between beta and release versions as the terms are used with regard to mod stability/development? It would appear to me everything is in constant development/troubleshooting stages, and that further indicates there really aren't true "release quality" packages to be found. If "release" packages are truly "release", why are they replaced on a weekly basis (in many cases - not specifically about Fubar/Ace/etc.)?

I'm nothing more than a confused user of these add-ons, mods, etc. and have begrudgingly shifted over to Titan Panel while Fubar/Ace/Rock agree on something solid. I'm not pleased to have had to dump Fubar with its wonderful waterfalls and ease of use. Please inform me how these latest changes (Rock, etc.) will help me enjoy my game of WoW so that I might find it easier to be patient.

Fubar was a wonderful thing prior to Rock. It still may be a wonderful thing post-Rock, but please help us see why.

Keep up any/all good work, add-on development carries tons of Blizzard's slack. We all appreciate the work.

Thanks

BTW, I will correct myself above. There technically "is" a release package available here, however very little "release" plugins are available, not really making the presence of a release Fubar "practical". Which brings up another point, it might be nice if a "core" Fubar was decided upon (similar to Titan) in that the bar itself would provide basic essentials when "released" rather than just a vacant bar. Just a suggestion...

I cant seem to figure out how to get the bar to extend across the entire screen, suggestions ?
I've had this problem before too, I fixed it by adjusting the bar width from 100% to 50% then back to 100% again.

P.S. Rock still sucks.
