oGlow  Popular! (More than 5000 hits)

Version: 2.2.5
by: haste [More]

oGlow will light up your items, by adding a quality border to them. It will only display this border for common quality items and above.

It will currently only display the quality borders on the following places:
* Inventory
* Inspect
* Bank
* Guild bank
* Bags
* Mail
* Merchant
* Trade
* Professions
* Character fly-out
* Character
* Loot
* Void storage

I will make it support some other frames also, but this is it for now.

Thank you for reminding me. I had completely forgotten the changes made to how inspect works in 4.x.

There are some issues with the current system. It notifies you that the inspect is ready, but you might only get item data for a few of the items. I'll try to push a fix for it today tho'.

I could run BaudBag's glows on my bag and bank, and oGlow on my equipped gear (and loot... does it touch loot? I forget).

It would be a "workaround" that would be in some ways "compatible" with every bag mod out there.
I wouldn't be surprised if BaudBag is the only bag mode which uses that function to do it's bidding.

You can already disable bank and bags coloring through /oglow.

I had a look into it, and BaudBag piggybacks on top of the function which blizzard uses to update bags. It does this by calling it with its own bag frames as the first argument.

This is also the function oGlow uses to do its updating, as... this is when Blizzard update their bags, and it's kinda unavoidable. The reason the coloring is flipped is because BaudBag doesn't follow the same standard as the default bags do.

A temporary solution for you would be to just disable oGlow's "Bag containers" pipe, and reload the ui. The reason why you have to reload is simply that oGlow doesn't know about these frames, and doesn't keep track on what frames it has update. In other words, disabling is currently hard-coded to the frames the pipe generally should expect to work with.

I've made a task on oGlow's issue tracker to work around this, but I'm not sure when I'll start working on it.

That's so to say impossible for me to answer. I don't know what screwy things are, and I don't know what Outfitter does or doesn't.

What you can do is:
- Disable Outfitter and see if you can re-create the issue. If you can, then it's oGlow not functioning correctly under some cases. If you can't, then it's most likely Outfitter calling the API function oGlow relies on in a awkward manner.

You have to take this with the author of BaugBag. oGlow doesn't touch add-ons unless told to by the add-on.

Removed on git.

Apologies if oGlow already does this (I'm in the middle of replacing FizzleInventory and the EU servers are down), but does oGlow support glyphs? If not, is there any chance you could border glyphs so that minor glyphs are shown as green, major as blue and prime as rare?
