About Outfitter

Outfitter is an equipment management addon which gives you fast access to multiple outfits to optimize your abilities in PvE and PvP, automated equip and unequip for convenience doing a variety of activities, or to enhance role-playing.

Outfitter includes an icon bar for fast access to your outfits, a minimap menu for fast compact access, support for LibDataBroker, scripting with a library of pre-made scripts for most common tasks, outfits optimized for a particular stat, item comparisons across outfits, quick access to items via the character sheet, and more.

Version 4.9b5 changes * FEATURE: Added more donors to About tab * BUGFIX: Fixed bug causing crash during gear swaps when trying to unequip an already-empty slot

New error

OK, new error popped up dealing with FuBar. Nothing big, I just disabled it and enabled the LDB version, but wanted to point it out anyway.

Thanks, I should be able to fix that pretty easily. I was cleaning out some old code and didn't realize some external addons were relying on it. I'll just restore those affected APIs in Outfitter so it doesn't break others.

It also disabled the sound. After the error, I clicked on the Outfitter icon and was dismayed when I discovered that it was not showing any gear sets within the Outfitter frame. I logged completely out of the game and restarted WoW. Clicked on the Outfitter icon, clicked on a different gear set than was already chosen, and it changed on the dropdown, but my gear didn't change. (Was testing it and went from Normal to Birthday Suit). Please advise what I am doing wrong and/or should be doing that I am not doing. fyi--I have the ingame Equipment Manager on to test compatibility on one computer, and not on the other. Same issues on both computers. Love this add-on! Looking forward to no bugs!

You just need to upgrade to b5 -- those bugs you're seeing are specific to the b4 build. I haven't had any reports of problems since I released b5 last night so it's pretty safe. 4.8 is a very solid version btw, so if you're not interested in the features of the 4.9 betas you should consider just running that one. I've had no significant reports of bugs at all in that version and it's been in use for over a month now! It's probably the best release of Outfitter I've ever had

I need to re-install FishingBuddy -- I'm not sure which parts of Outfitter it's referencing and I keep breaking that in this beta. I'll try to get those cleared up for the next build.

This one is pretty good I think and should be able to resolve most gear swaps involving unique-equipped gems. Version 4.9b6 changes * FEATURE: Added new donors to About tab * BUGFIX: Trying another algorithm for calculating gear swap order for unique-equipped gem changes * BUGFIX: Added support for some older stat IDs (ie, FishingBuddy "Fishing" stat)

Thanks, I'll take a look at that. The gem stuff does re-order the changes but I also have code which tries to ensure the MH/OH vs. 2H swaps are in the correct order. It sounds like I'm fixing the order of MH/OH swaps first, then doing the gem reordering which is clobbering the MH/OH stuff. Hopefully just changing the sequence I do them in will clear that up.

I don't know what caused that item info to become damaged, but the error will no longer have problems if it happens again.

Bizarre. Oh well, planning on jumping in with both feet to the new beta...but this time I'm backing up my WTF folder (like I should have the last time!).

I think you'll be ok (but certainly back up just in case!). 4.9 is pretty stable at this point and I hope to have it ready for release within another week or two. The only major thing I still want to look at is making the TankPoints optimization work faster by intelligently eliminating items from consideration, but everything including the TankPoints stuff work fine right now.
